Can someone please lift this ban? in Banned Users Corner ·
Jeremy Johnson18 said:Do you even have any clue what you actually did or why you got banned?

I was just telling the truth, really. I mean, I only repeated what you already put out there in public.
Look, if you can't handle the truth or take a little criticism without folding, that’s on you. Seriously. If you aren't willing to stand behind what you write or the moves you make? That's your own damn problem, not mine, and definitely not anyone else's.
Look, man, just be a man for once and own your damn actions. Stop pointing fingers at everyone else and take the hit. If you stepped up to be a moderator, then actually act like one and take responsibility for it. Otherwise, you’re never gonna learn anything from the mistakes life keeps throwing at you.
Honestly, I’m done. I’ve spent way too much time carrying around everyone else's baggage and taking the fall for things that aren't even my problem. I'm just completely over it at this point. Seriously, enough is enough.

Look, all I've ever done is try to warn you and the rest of the mod team like ten different times, right?!
So, what exactly were you guys doing? Honestly, you completely blew past my limits and my patience with those constant, intentional provocations. It’s been nothing but a headache, especially seeing how you let explicit ads and sexist, off-topic nonsense slide right through. And after we all stood up and protested against those liberal, off-topic ads on this forum? Nothing. Total silence. So, yeah, because of YOU, I'm over here now. You just can't seem to follow the rules like everyone else does...
You guys wouldn't even give us a dedicated thread to talk about this. Not a single suggestion from the community actually got taken seriously, either. Honestly? All you've done is push your own agenda.
Look, if you guys had just gone ahead and wiped those explicit, trashy ads off the site like you promised, I wouldn't be complaining at all. Honestly, I wouldn't have said a single word back in 2019 when we were dealing with those wrapped ads either. But you didn't keep that promise, did you? It’s pretty obvious they weren't an issue for you guys. But hey, who cares about us Americans, right?

Maybe other Americans don't give a damn about ending up lonely and unloved for the rest of their lives, or the idea of finally hunting for love in their 40s or 50s. But clearly, I'm not one of those people... I actually care about finding love and my better half while I'm still young. And honestly? I just want real friends—people who actually have at least a shred of moral decency.

So, just to wrap things up and recap what you guys have actually pulled off with your moderation:
They basically sabotaged my entire future just to find some girl—my future wife, someone to start a family with, my circle of friends, even potential business partners. And they didn't just screw me over. They did it to everyone.
Do you even realize what you’re doing? You and your colleagues over there... do you actually get it? You’re out here playing God with everyone's lives through this reckless moderation.

I honestly couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic there, because man, you guys were just relentless. You kept pushing those off-topic threads and poking at me and everyone else on this forum way before that official notice even hit the boards.
You didn't want to listen to anyone, did you? Probably because you think you're God and the rules don't apply to people with your kind of status. You think you can just take your insecurities out on everyone around you without any consequences. Right?

Look, I don't go breaking the rules for no reason. I’m usually pretty chill. But what happens when people start poking and prodding me on purpose? That’s when things get messy. Shouldn't the mods be stepping up to handle the actual agitators? Like, that's literally what the rules say they're supposed to do—stop the person starting the drama. It feels like such a joke getting hit with an unfair ban when I'm just reacting to someone else flagrantly ignoring the basic guidelines of this forum.
I don’t go out of my way to pick fights with anyone... look, I can be sarcastic, and yeah, maybe I’m a bit too critical sometimes. I'm definitely not perfect. But I’m certainly not some kind of jerk who needs to tear people down just to feel better about myself.
I mean, if you look at my history on here—all those years of posting—it’s pretty obvious, isn't it?

Do you even realize what you just typed?! Seriously. I really hope you got that notice from your bosses and actually took it to heart. Even if they didn't lay it all out for you, you already know exactly where you stand.
Look, if you really want to backtrack on everything you’ve said and done, go ahead. I'll happily sit here and read your little apology with a grin on my face. And hey, if by some miracle you actually manage to prove me wrong and make it all disappear? Fine. I'll admit I was the one in the wrong. (Just a heads up though—your lawyer probably wouldn't advise you to take that route!)

And the exact same rules should apply to the Latiteju mod regarding her sexist off-topic thread on Lonely Hearts yesterday. Honestly, the same goes for all those intentional off-topic posts she makes just to suit herself. It honestly makes my skin crawl just thinking about it...

July 16th. Sex out of politeness.

While I'm at it, I'm calling for the mods to strip moderator status from Jeremy Johnson18 (ID 746601) and latitea (ID 1057) and just ban them from this US forum permanently.

My conscience is clear.
If anyone tries to provoke me, mess with me, or if I run into any of you in person, I’d suggest you check how much it costs to compensate someone for mental anguish.
This isn't a threat, it's just another one of my warnings—and it's the last one.
Hope that's crystal clear.

Anyway, back to business: I need an admin or whoever is on duty to URGENTLY lift this ban so I can get back to being useful here and finish what I needed to do yesterday!

Hey mods, any chance you could cut this ban down to just a day?
I totally get it—that astrology comment was out of line for the politics thread, and I promise I won’t bring it up over there again.

Date the ban will be lifted: 25.05.2021., 18:00
It feels like forever already. By the time this is up, it'll have been basically three days, and I actually had some stuff lined up to post on another thread tomorrow.
Really hoping you guys can see where I'm coming from here.

That’s not the right way to do it. I spent all day yesterday and today digging through everything, trying to find that specific setting.
The indicator isn't green anymore, but the "last activity" timestamp hasn't budged an inch.
Maybe check with the other mods? Is it possible they pulled that feature while some people still had it enabled, and now it just disappeared for everyone else?
They really ought to fix that or just bring it back... you know, so we're all playing on a level playing field.

Thanks for the offer, but I swap my signature out sometimes, and then the HTML breaks again when I try to save it, so I'll pass.
---------------------

And why am I capped at reading only 50 posts from other users? Is that some new rule they rolled out? Slika
How am I supposed to track down an old thread from someone now? Google isn't helping, and I can't quite remember the exact details...
Is this limit hitting all the moderators, or just me?

Also, how are we supposed to know if there are any HIV-positive individuals on the USA thread now that they've lifted those restrictions that were in place for years? People are flooding in, and there might be infected users posting stuff that others should probably avoid reading. It feels like the mods over there don't care, or maybe they haven't even realized what's happening. Whatever...
And honestly, shouldn't those infected folks lose their right to privacy if they risk spreading it to others?
If you haven't done anything wrong, you've got nothing to hide.

Why on earth don't I have the option to hide my last active status??? Other people seem to have it since their activity timestamps aren't even visible.

Also, quick question—why can't I add hyperlinks to my signature anymore?

Looking for a guy or a girl with a Pisces vibe if this ad catches your eye.
Strictly hetero
Non-smokers preferred
Looking for a guy around my age, say 28–34
A girl could be a bit younger.
Ideally living within a reasonable distance from, let's say, 50 milesSan Francisco. I'd love to be able to meet up in San Francisco, New York City, Columbus, or anywhere else where the drive isn't a total nightmare.

31-year-old guy, non-smoker, Scampi zodiac sign (Cancer), based in San Francisco. We can chat more once we connect.
Just to be clear, I don't have any medical diagnoses or anything; I'm honestly just here because I think there's a chance to find some genuine friendships. Since there's actually a dedicated space for this, maybe I'll run into some serious people who, like me, are tired of leaving their social circle entirely up to fate.

Looking to meet a girl who’s dealing with some kind of health issue. Just looking for someone smart, a bit unconventional, independent, and straight. Age range 19-31, ideally around the Zapa or Zga area.
Someone who isn't judgmental, doesn't complain constantly, and stays away from all that petty gossip.

I'm 31. Smart, definitely a little different, based in Zap.

Hey there..
Looking for someone to hang out with this afternoon between 5 and 8 PM, or maybe sometime Tuesday. Just looking for a regular, sane, straight guy—no girlfriend, a bit of a loner just like me. My treat for a coffee at the cafe upstairs in the Avenue Mall. Just some good conversation if you're feeling social. A buddy of mine headed to the beach today, so I'm flying solo...
I'm 31. Somewhere around that age would be perfect. I'd say I'm pretty normal, I just don't happen to be super outgoing or a chatterbox, and I don't really have a massive squad or anything, which I guess is true for most smart people according to those studies, right?
Stuff we could chat about includes;
Xbox 360, electrical engineering, career shifts and retraining, maybe even Princess Diana if you've seen any documentaries lately—haha, I know that sounds wild, but I'd marry her in a heartbeat xD. Or maybe video editing software like Microsoft, old PC games, or PlayStation 2 classics. Music too, if our tastes align; I usually listen to DI FM radio... atmospheric breaks, big beat, psy chill, chillout, mostly just whatever unique stuff comes on. That's about it.
Was also thinking maybe go karting since I've never actually done it. Again, my treat, depending on if there's extra insurance stuff to pay for. I read a bit about it last year and backed off...
Hit me up ASAP if you're down for today. My email is acting up on my phone, so I'll leave my number in my profile for now—just shoot me a text. Getting ready to head out to Washington, D.C. now, gotta swing by the store first to help out some relatives.

Looking for a girl in her 20s or 30s from the Chicago suburbs or somewhere nearby.
Not a dealbreaker, but would be nice:
Single—just in case we actually hit it off.
Into long walks, grabbing a drink and just chatting, or even just chilling on a park bench if that's more her vibe.
Maybe badminton, ping pong, or whatever else she’s into.
Definitely not a horror movie fan.
Someone who isn't judgmental or into gossip. Honestly, that goes for me too—if you want my respect or friendship, let's keep things clean. Otherwise, pass.
If you have any kind of diagnosis, I'd rather just know upfront. I can't stand lies or secrets. You can trust me with anything you tell me in confidence; I don't spread stuff around, and I expect the same in return.
That's about it. Not sure what else to say. If you've got a reason to reach out, go for it. I'm not like those other guys... and if this post gets old, feel free to ignore it.

Looking for a new best friend. Someone single, someone who doesn't judge or talk behind people's backs—basically just a solid human being who deserves a good friend in return. I’m looking for someone reasonably normal, if you know what I mean? Honestly, I’m putting these out there because I just need a bit of normalcy; I don't want to be the only one constantly giving in a friendship. I need someone trustworthy, empathetic, and actually has feelings, you know? Not a dominant type, not high-maintenance, not temperamental, and definitely not someone who gets bored easily. Must have hobbies, not arrogant or neurotic, open-minded but maybe a little skeptical. Someone who avoids drama, isn't aggressive, and maybe isn't having the easiest time in life right now. Just an intelligent guy who doesn't feel the need to brag. I’d love to hang out in person occasionally—grab a drink, hit up a bowling alley, or just wander through some shops to see what's new... just to get out of the house. And look, I don't want our whole friendship to revolve around just hunting for girls. Bros before hos, right? 😁
Must be straight.
Non-smoker.
Washington, D.C. or Newark area.
Between 26-30 years old.
Prefer Skype, WhatsApp, email, or text. Don't really use much else.
If this sounds like 90% of you, hit me up.
If a girl sees this and recognizes herself in the description, she can reach out too, but only if we can build something deeper than just friendship down the road.

A bit about me:
Male, 29 (born '88), straight. Electrical engineering background. Not much else to say besides what I already mentioned regarding the kind of friend I'm after—someone compatible, someone I can actually relate to. No medical diagnoses to report. I am pretty antisocial and reserved, though. I'm not big on huge crowds, probably social anxiety, or maybe I'm just hypersensitive to certain things—I looked into the term and yeah, it fits. Even Nikola Tesla was like that, and nobody judged him for it.

Bonus points if:
You love electronics, soldering, fixing stuff, DIY projects, or inventing things.
We share good music (I listen to pretty much everything except metal, country, pop hits, trance, hardcore, or overly "girly" stuff; mostly DI.FM depending on the mood).
You have a PlayStation 3; we could play something online once in a while, though I'm not on constantly (mostly BF3 or MW3).
You have a spontaneous sense of humor and want to laugh together—but nothing at someone else's expense, no dumb jokes or heavy sarcasm.
You're the kind of friend someone would actually want to work for, you know? Like, if the job was better there.
Or maybe we could vouch for each other when it comes to meeting good people. That’s true friendship.
Someone I can head to a game at the stadium or Madison Square Garden with once or three times a year—not a requirement, just a thought—or someone to go to events with when you've got no one else to go with.
If you want to do something active in the summer, I've got some table tennis gear, or even soccer stuff, though I'm not into running marathons or intense matches (low blood pressure issues)—more into just kicking the ball around the park. It's fun. I also have badminton rackets just to kill boredom, or maybe just riding bikes around town or through Central Park.
None of this is set in stone, just ideas.
I’m on the hunt for a small, pretty artificial tree—maybe around 3 to 4 feet tall. I really want one with those fine, tiny needles that actually look real, you know? Not those cheap ones with the big, plastic green leaves.
Example 1
Example 2A Example 2B This one might look better if I could find it without those white tips, assuming anyone even sells that style. (Found this on the Home Depot site)
I’ve already hit basically every shop around the suburbs and the local malls, so I guess I still have a few spots left in the city. Anyone know where the good stuff is hiding?
Looking to spend maybe $150$100 max.

Male, 28 years old. (88), straight and looking for people with the same orientation. I don't have any official diagnosis or anything, but honestly? I’m pretty antisocial right now. Maybe it’s depression, maybe I’m just exhausted from not sleeping enough. Who knows?

I'm basically just looking for some solid friends—someone chill, non-judgmental, and roughly my age (give or take 2 or 3 years). Ideally someone living near Newark, but I'm down to meet up if you're in Washington, D.C. too.
We could jump on Zoom, text, WhatsApp, or just grab coffee in person. Looking for good conversation, maybe hitting some light sports for fun, playing some PS3 online every now and then (anyone still down for BF3 co-op?), or even finding someone to hit up a New Year's Eve party with.

northernpilot2 said:The idea is that the new handle you're asking for should be somewhat similar to your old one. And looking at it now, you're a pretty fresh member, so you wouldn't really be losing any established identity with a big change anyway.
That rule about needing a minimum number of posts was scrapped ages ago, so you didn't actually need to 'grind' out posts just to earn the right to fix your name. 🙂

Since you're still basically an 'unknown' user, you could try darkcrane2, or maybe reach out to Nico to double-check with her, but as far as I'm concerned, it's fine. It's better than those strings of numbers and a cramped-up handle.

Special characters like '!' aren't allowed in handle changes.

Thanks 😁you're the real deal
didn't see this coming 👍

northernpilot2 said:I don't think that'll work. The names aren't even close. Maybe Don Holmes would be an option instead. 🙂

Well, like you said, if the request was approved and you already reached out to rustydrifter10, but she hasn't gotten to it yet... I mean, she probably just got swamped with other stuff, so it might have just gotten pushed back on her plate. It happens, I guess.
You should probably just shoot her another DM anyway.

Yeah, I figured. But seriously, who’s actually tracking people by their usernames? I don't really get these approval schemes.
I mean, I get searching for a specific name to make sure someone isn't catfishing, but come on.
The whole point of having a handle is to stay anonymous, right?
I'm not trying to be tracked here like I'm being followed by Google.
So what, am I supposed to grind out a hundred honest posts just so I can change my name later because apparently low post counts don't qualify for approval? That sounds like a trap.
Could darkcrane2 use 221B then? I doubt anyone else would bother putting 221B in their handle anyway. If someone's gonna track me, they can use that... 🙄
If it works, maybe I'll just smash it all together without spaces.

Hey, I’m looking to swap out my Don Michael handle—the one from the movie. Checked, and it looks like it's wide open.
SHolmes221B, if anyone else wants it, feel free to grab it once the change goes through.
You know that saying? If you really want it, you can make anything happen 😁
And honestly, that’s just a rough estimate for guys around age 75 😢. Women usually outlast us. Probably because they don't deal with as much unnecessary stress in life, you know?

Living for 500 years? Please. LOL
I mean, unless your life is so incredibly boring that you're basically already dead inside, why would you even want that? Besides, most people who live like they're invincible end up checking out by their 30s or 40s anyway. How are you supposed to make it to 500 if you can't even hit 50?

Before I even stumbled upon this thread, I was actually telling my buddy the other day that I’m aiming for at least 700. Why am I stressing about death right now when I've got centuries to go?
And honestly, I look like I'm ten years younger than I actually am. I’ve got this daily routine down that—based on what you said—could probably add a couple of years to my life. It only takes an hour a day. Plus, I switched over to clean eating and staying hydrated. At the end of the day, age is just a number; you're only as old as you feel, right? 👍😁
Certain things definitely speed up the aging process, but does that hit everyone the same way? Who knows. 😛
