Wedding playlist ideas? in Music ·
At this gala I attended recently, the newlyweds kicked things off by dancing a tango to a track from 'Bracken Water'... 'love and marriage...'

Migraine relief help? in Health ·
I deal with quite frequent headaches.
After conducting extensive research on my own, I have identified two potential culprits behind these episodes:

1. Low blood pressure
2. Misaligned vertebrae... in the neck area...
Wedding playlist ideas? in Music ·
I recently attended this wedding with about 100 guests in attendance... mostly a younger crowd...

We had both a DJ and a live band on hand, all of whom are dear friends of ours. We even carved out some time for a thirty to forty-five minute karaoke session... it was truly a joyous occasion...👍

Phobias/Fears in Miscellaneous ·
I wouldn't say I suffer from any legitimate phobias that would ever trigger a full-blown panic attack, leaving me gasping for air or losing my grip on reality...

but... I really can't stand the sight of bugs crawling anywhere near me...
I also detest walking through seaweed at the beach. It's so slimy. And honestly, I have this nagging fear that a crab might be lurking in there, which is just... unpleasant.

And those barking dogs in my neighborhood? They aren't exactly my favorite either...

The guy is a notorious liar.
He’s always starting threads about all sorts of twisted stuff... he even goes as far as making suicide threats, then suddenly claims he’s got this disease, then that one... honestly, the man seems a bit schizophrenic, and frankly, he’s a predator who’d target little girls.
Someone needs to hit him with a ban... or a slap in the face.

I'm truly glad you went ahead and circulated that...
They’re probably going to start being much more careful about cutting down the runtime now. Honestly, someone over at the studio might even face a pink slip for this mess...

You might just land yourself a full year of free movie passes... if you're lucky...
The whole movie discussion has me completely blindsided😲 😲 !

Since I actually sat through the film myself. It felt like the movie was cut at one point and then just picked right back up, so in my case, there probably wasn't some massive technical disaster.

But the reel itself kept glitching a few times. Those tiny little stutters lasting just milliseconds... and the audio cutout lasted about a second once, I think.

I didn't make a scene... and I finished the entire movie without saying a word. But honestly, if they’re going to go around bragging about their star ratings, they ought to put in a formal complaint.👋

Personally, I am quite alright with how things stand in that regard. I make it a point to avoid sexually transmitted diseases🙂
Good Bye, Lenin! in Movies ·
...I just finished watching this film today...

And I have to say, it was absolutely BRILLIANT!

The movie beautifully weaves together two distinct threads: one centered on the political landscape and the other on the deep, human connection we share with our loved ones.

Having grown up during the era of American socialism, I recognized so many hallmarks of that period of isolation—things like those corner stores with nothing but meager, locally-made goods, the vintage cars, the heavy emphasis on the collective, and all that pervasive party propaganda... even that lingering skepticism about anyone actually moving out West..

It manages to be both hilarious and profoundly serious... It’s funny because there are so many moments where Alex (the lead) tries to explain the old days to his mother, often going a bit overboard with his descriptions🙂
But it's serious because his mother is ill, and he’ll do absolutely anything to shield her from any kind of stress that might jeopardize her health after waking from her coma...

Honestly, the film is just...👍
Flu symptoms in Health ·
I'm currently fighting off the flu. I decided against getting the shot myself. My friend went ahead and got vaccinated, though... and she’s stuck in the exact same stage of misery as I am. It seems like it didn't make much of a difference... $9.00 maybe because of the vaccine. It clearly isn't working...
Are you living the dream? in Spirituality ·
I’m not living out some grand dream. Honestly, I wouldn’t even know what to do with myself if I actually reached it. What happens when there’s nothing left to strive for? When everything is supposedly "ideal," perfectly aligned, and exactly how I imagined it in my head...

The smaller the dreams, the happier the life...
Lowering your expectations just means fewer disappointments.
No123 said:Alright, fine, lately I’ve been doing nothing but sleeping, so I haven't had any time to actually study. Is there some kind of rule against sleeping?🙂

I’m in the same boat—always sleeping. I absolutely love it... honestly, even if someone tried to drag me out of bed in the morning, I wouldn't budge. Without my coffee, I spend the whole day stumbling around like a total zombie...

I find it impossible to focus if I stay at home; there are just too many distractions everywhere—computers, the TV, the radio, my phone, all those gadgets...🙂

If I turn everything off, I suddenly get this overwhelming urge to deep-clean my entire apartment until it's spotless... then, once I've exhausted every possible excuse to avoid studying, I end up calling someone just to ask them to find me more excuses.😉

That's why I go to the New York Public Library... specifically that section where it isn't basically a fashion runway. I just stare at the wall. If I can, I'll sit right across from some incredibly unattractive guy just so I don't even have the impulse to look up at him. Lately, that strategy has actually been getting me straight A's!😎
Cannabis has been used for medical purposes for ages... primarily as a way to manage pain. There’s actually proven evidence that it helps alleviate pain for brain tumor patients. It makes a real difference in their quality of life. I saw all of this firsthand while my mother was sick. That whole ordeal, along with all those awful circumstances, is exactly why I deal with insomnia now...

People tend to say a lot of things when they can't sleep. There's plenty of time for that...😉

😲 Is it really...?

I really need to sit down and watch that. I've heard nothing but rave reviews... and honestly, I have such a soft spot for those gritty, anti-Hollywood types of films...
I don't have a donor card myself either. I never actually went through the process... even though my immediate family knows I have no issue with donating my organs after I pass... they'll just go to waste anyway...

And why haven't I signed up for a donor card? Honestly, it's probably because I'm just too lazy to trek down to some office to get it done...

By the way, where does one actually go to set that up?
As someone smarter than me mentioned earlier, pills aren't necessarily the root cause of sleeplessness. But honestly, sometimes when you're under an immense amount of stress, some kind of sedative feels like the only way to finally drift off...

..I struggled with sleep issues for quite a long time due to some rather unfortunate circumstances. I actually even refused to let my doctor label it as "insomnia"...

I tried every natural remedy under the sun... from drinking warm milk before bed to reading books, and even all that meditative crap (pardon my language).... but meditation isn't going to solve your actual life problems or the stress you're facing. We are emotional creatures, after all, and you can't just build a wall against everything life throws at you...

My doctor actually suggested trying cannabis... as an alternative to taking prescription sedatives....

After about a year... once those difficult circumstances finally passed... the insomnia vanished too... Now, everything is back to normal again...

That’s a factual statement. I have nothing against homosexuality itself, but reproduction certainly doesn't happen within the same sex...

It is some kind of disruption, regardless. It would be foolish of me to lecture anyone on subjects beyond my own expertise...
