The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) in Movies ·
The first installment is leagues ahead of the sequels. It’s a different beast entirely. The second one feels unfinished, almost like a setup just to force you into the third. As for the third? I don't know. It’s like Lisbeth was suddenly juiced up on steroids or something. Still, an excellent trilogy overall. 😬

Supposedly they even spit and trash the streets. 🤷

I might actually have to sit through this just because of that comment. You were clearly so rattled that you couldn't even be bothered with basic grammar. 🤣

Judging by the trailer, it looks like they took a bunch of random ingredients—apples, oranges, steak, and salad—threw them in a blender, and ended up with something as ugly as *The Thing*. But hey, high-quality trash is still worth its weight in gold. 😁
Word on the street is that during the press tour in India, Tom Cruise basically bought his way into everyone's good graces. We're talking three to five bucks per person just to manufacture that hype. 🤣

Maybe check out this documentary: "The Wizard of Oz" — it's a great video about how bankers have been pulling this fake monetary regulation stunt on us for centuries (I had to find an English version with subtitles).

Well, my profile says exactly where I'm from... 😕

Had a quick look. So, what—is this all just a massive Freemason conspiracy? 🤷

And you want to ban commercial banks from issuing loans that aren't backed by their deposits and capital?

In theory, it sounds fine, but reality would tell a different story. Driven by short-term political wins, the government would likely trigger hyperinflation. As for the second point, while it might be the only sustainable way for banks to operate long-term, interest rates would skyrocket, and the American public wouldn't stand for it.

Is there actually any country out there running a system like the one you're proposing? I'd love to see how that looks in practice.

If I may jump in here—yes, there is. It's famously known as the London School of Economics. In that model, the President decides who gets credit, rather than worrying about things like reserves, capital, and other bureaucratic nonsense.😁

But his writing style is what really gets me. It feels like some heated argument at a local bar. In his last column, he straight-up called hedge fund managers losers. If we're talking about the weight of his work, I'd put him up there with Birtić. In terms of being sharp, he's closest to Grčar from the back pages of Leader, but even he isn't this combative. Then there's the constant bolding and the typos.

Heh. Honestly? He’s usually right about that. Just look at their annual returns. It’s a complete circus. Anyone who actually listened to him ended up just as broke. And then there’s Bertice—now he’s probably prepping some lawsuit against whoever he can find because he got burned. I remember reading his glowing endorsements for ExxonMobil and other stocks a couple of years back; I couldn't stop laughing. If you bother to check which stocks they hold (they list them at the end of the pieces), you'll see their recent sector analyses are nothing but mindless cheerleading. Because in their world, they don't make mistakes... 🤣🤣🤣

Don't listen to the analysts, the fund managers, your friends, or your cousins. Just learn how to think for yourself. IMHO

He doesn't hold back—he goes after the FBI, the Federal Reserve, politicians... everyone. Sometimes he writes like he’s just venting at a bar.
Are you guys following Petrov? Do you think his take on things is grounded in reality? Is his tone appropriate, or is his assessment actually on point? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Maybe this topic belongs in a different thread, but it feels like most people hanging out in the media sections aren't even interested in this subject.

Occasionally, maybe. Not really. He made a smart move with currencies once, and it’s fine that he points out irregularities at the FBI. But there's a downside: he spends way too much time bragging about his portfolio, he tears into institutions he clearly doesn't understand, and everything he touches feels like cheap sensationalism... You only know who he is because we have about five journalists covering this beat. ☕
