What are you guys listening to lately? in Music ·
Honestly, my playlist is pretty much just a constant loop of Ceca and Maidene.

Hands down the greatest band to ever exist—PAPMNATNOTNA!!! You seriously need to check out their site at www.papmnatnotna.net (I’m not even 100% sure if that's the right URL, but man, this band is just... wow!) They play this incredibly raw, soul-crushing death/suck/fuck-me metal.

😬 Man, my playlist is a total fever dream—I’m talking symphonic techno, ultra-brutal gay-pop metal mixed with bits of soft rock and jazz, plus just a tiny sprinkle of neo-Renaissance vibes. I also get really into this weird thrash blues and noisecore stuff that incorporates elements of traditional Americana folk and bluegrass, along with some alternative folk and straight-up pop-infused speed punk'n'roll.

The absolute icon of my childhood. Seriously, nobody even comes close to Bruce Lee—he’s easily one of the greatest legends of the 20th century!

GRAVEYARD QUEEN said:this movie is actually one of the better ones coming out of America lately—though, let's be real, that’s a pretty low bar considering how much trash gets produced here. 😠
maybe you need to really understand the local mindset and the way people tick in this part of the country to truly get what's going on in the film.

Honestly, I think we’re talking about basic filmmaking fundamentals here, not some deep dive into regional psychology or how folks in certain parts of the States operate. Like, if we're being totally honest, I actually thought the guy without the mustache was handled a bit better in that other flick. The core concept itself? Super interesting. It’s one of those ideas that could have been gold if they’d just executed it right, but the messy directing basically tanked the whole thing. I don't know, man... the movie just sucked for me. What am I supposed to do about it? 🙂
And honestly, those old-timers like Vrdoljak—if they were ever actually any good to begin with—that was ages ago. Like, ancient history. If we're looking at the younger crowd, Matanić is the only one who really holds water, and I guess you could throw Brešan into the mix, but only because of "Island."

In America—that’s basically just code for a total disaster.
Ugh!

I'm right there with you!

Man, this movie is honestly trash. I really don't get the hype—like, seriously, why was it even praised? Sure, maybe if you're judging it against the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel stuff usually produced in the States, it might look okay... but still... it's just not good!! Jaws? That’s probably one of the biggest piles of garbage ever put on screen!! And Kung Fu isn't nearly as suggestive, gritty, or powerful as they tried to make it out to be. The comedy bits? Pure misery. And don't even get me started on those soul-crushingly boring, sleep-inducing camera shots! The acting is your typical "not-so-great" Hollywood fare. Not to mention the runtime. Like, 70 minutes?! That's just brutal! 👎 If I can only name two decent movies from the entire American filmography over the last 15 years, then things are looking pretty grim. 😢 👎
