Exactly. I'd put my signature on that. As far as metal goes, maybe just the classics like Sabbath or Maiden, but honestly, the fans who dive into all those subgenres are way more interesting and fun to hang out with than those pretentious indie hipsters.

It isn't as if they all suddenly swapped their leather jackets for Beatles memorabilia or started obsessing over The Kinks. Instead, most of them leaned heavily into the staples—Queen, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Dylan, Springsteen, and that whole legendary era.
That’s exactly what I noticed too. In high school, they couldn't even name five Rolling Stones or AC/DC tracks, and then later on, they become die-hard fans. 😁

I agree there. I think AC/DC just radiates this specific energy; the songs are simple and repetitive, but they rarely get boring. Plus, Brian, Angus, the late Malcolm, and Bon are just genuinely likable guys. Watching them live at a stadium... hardly anyone can recreate that kind of atmosphere. 🙏
Queen has about 15 hits that I absolutely love. I tried listening to their entire discography once, but it just didn't work for me.
