I’m halfway through my pregnancy, and since my bump isn't huge yet, people can still pretend they think I’m just... well, a little extra filled out. 😬 Besides, I still feel fit enough to stand for those 10 minutes or so. It hasn't been an issue so far. I still love staying active. I’m mostly just doing stairs and walking for now, but it’s increasing every day. I honestly don't want to think about how I'll manage to get up to my floor by the time summer hits. 🤣

But the rudeness? Yeah, people are rude. Honestly, the hypocrisy is what bugs me most. They’ll lecture kids about why they aren't standing up, yet the older folks—who are busy lecturing everyone else but could easily stand because they aren't elderly or sick—won't budge either. 🙄

I wonder if things will change once my belly actually starts showing, but I’m not exactly optimistic..
I remember seeing an acquaintance on a packed bus once; she was clearly very pregnant. She had a long commute, and standing in a crowded bus like that is exhausting even for someone who isn't pregnant and perfectly healthy. Not a single person offered her a seat. Everyone just acted like they didn't see her. I actually called out to her from across the bus to tell her to come sit down when I spotted her. That moment really stuck with me. I ended up more frustrated than she was 🤣

I really don't think it will ☕ now that I'm eight months along. Just the other day, a woman in her 60s actually tried to shove me out of my seat on the subway because she claimed to be "disabled"—though, unless lightning strikes me down right here, she didn't have a cane or even look like she had trouble walking when we both got on at the same stop! Younger kids and women in their 20s or 30s usually give up their seats, but the older crowd or men? No way... Honestly, at the bank or the local post office, I don't even bother taking a number anymore; I just stand there listening to the grumbling because they won't let anyone through... 🤦

The longer you wait, the longer it’s going to take to clear up... I mean, I dealt with my own issue for five whole months! I was heading into the clinic every single week to have the dermatologist cauterize it, so seriously, just get to a doctor ASAP😉
And make sure it's a specialist, okay? Please don't let a podiatrist try to dig at it🙂

If there's a community health center closer to you, maybe check out the one in Silet—that's where I used to go🙂, though actually, most major medical centers have a dermatologist on staff... good luck, you've got this!😉

Thank you so much for the advice! I'm going to get a new referral first thing tomorrow and book an appointment immediately! 🙂 I'm really hoping I can get this cleared up within a reasonable timeframe... 😁

I’ve been dealing with this annoying issue on my heel lately... My primary care doctor mentioned it looks a lot like a plantar wart, so she gave me a referral to see a dermatologist—but I haven't actually made it to an appointment yet. To be honest, I'm a little nervous about it, and the specialist she recommended is all the way over in Brooklyn, which is quite a trek for me...
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? 😢 It really hurts whenever I put weight on that specific spot on my heel, and it’s honestly starting to get on my nerves...

Sophia Hill22 said:I had surgery about twenty days ago—and look, this might sound like a silly question, but I can't help it when I'm such a hypochondriac:
I had an IV needle in my hand (it was a Braun, right?) and just above that spot—but on the same vein, I assume—there's this cord-like thing about 3 cm long. It feels a bit firmer and swollen—sort of like a bulging vein—and it only hurts if I accidentally press on my arm... nothing too intense, really—but it doesn't seem to be going away at all.

Do I need to worry? Why is it lasting this long? Could it have anything to do with the anesthesia? And what can I do to make it disappear?

For me, that spot was tender to the touch for about a week, maybe even a little longer... but honestly, I think after 20 days or so, it should be clearing up. 🤷Maybe try stopping by your primary care doctor just to have them take a quick look...

Is it possible for general anesthesia to cause a delay in my period?
