Ugh, I’m so bummed I didn't make it up there. I was really hoping to catch Wim Wenders' "The Land of Plenty" tonight... has anyone actually seen it yet? Is it any good? I'd also love to hear what you guys think about the rest of the lineup👍
Look, if your blood sugar is holding steady, just bump up your salt intake... and start slamming some Gatorade or something to get those electrolytes back in balance...
Tyler Grant86 said:Look, I know there’s gonna be people showing up to this gig just because Tom Waits' bassist is in the lineup...
But honestly, the rest of this powerhouse crew includes trumpeter David Douglas and drummer Joey Baron—both absolute heavyweights in the New York jazz scene over the last decade...
Wait, you're telling me that skinny guy is actually Tom Waits' bassist? 🙂
Tyler Grant86 said:For me, Masada is easily Zorn's best work because it feels so spontaneous and warm... honestly, I’m shocked anyone even thought about booking them for a gig in San Diego. Word on the street is if you aren't offering at least $20,000 and a suite at a five-star hotel, he won't even pick up the phone to talk about a show. Anyway, over the last 5 or 6 years, I've been way more into what David Douglas has been doing. He’s the trumpeter for Masada and hands down the top jazz musician in New York right now.😈
Can someone give me some actual info on the band?👍
What kind of band even is this? They play jazz and they’re actually pretty damn good, but has anyone here actually heard them? Does anyone have a link to their stuff? Thanks🙂
It’s a hormonal mess... seriously, having your thyroid overproduce hormones can cause symptoms that look almost identical to what you're dealing with... that's why I told you to get to a doctor and demand a full hormonal panel to check everything out...👍 only after you've cleared that should you even think about seeing a psychiatrist.😉 😁
Honestly, it could be hyperthyroidism... you really need to get your thyroid levels checked out. It might even be some other hormonal imbalance or an anxiety disorder... or, look, it could just be emotional, too. I mean, if you can link that heart racing feeling to a specific person or some stressful situation in your life, there's your answer.😉
Michael Perez5: Whatever... look, I don't care what they do with my body once I'm dead. Seriously, do whatever you want. But shouldn't that be my call in the first place?
Look, basically even here in the States, doctors will ask the family for permission—basically checking if there’s an explicit objection to donation. But seriously, the law doesn't forbid taking organs at all if brain death has been declared. That's how it works in most places across the globe... and honestly, why wouldn't it be that way? Maybe because saving a living person's life just carries more weight than preserving the physical integrity of someone who's already gone?😉
Summer is easily my worst season. It’s just constant misery—unless I can knock back some pills for the pain, I’m stuck dealing with this endless weakness, nausea, and those terrifying dizzy spells where everything just goes black...🙄
Edward Green said:Look, when those assholes were tearing me apart, I didn't just sit there and take it. Not a chance. I fought back.
Look, why even bother trying to fix it if you could just stop the damn thing from happening in the first place? It’s common sense! If you prevent the sickness, you don't have to deal with the hospital bills or the doctors later. It's like driving like a maniac and then complaining that your car is totaled—just drive better! Stop the problem at the source, for crying out loud. Simple as that.🙄
Lawrence Booth2 said:Ugh, girls... is it really that painful? 😢
I feel for you. 😢
Oh, it hurts... seriously... but look, there’s actually one thing that can make the pain way more manageable... and honestly, it’s something you should do before even thinking about getting pregnant, which helps ease the whole process too. 😁
You know how those birth control pills can be... they can make you retain way too much salt... people with high blood pressure are especially prone to that... So, you cut back on the salt, maybe take some diuretics, snack on watermelon and celery... stuff like that.🙂

As if other people haven't missed out on basic cultural knowledge before. Personally, I've lost count of how many times 🙂
honestly, I am just not into pop music. And I don't think that counts as missing some fundamental piece of culture. For what it's worth, I usually know my stuff when it comes to this kind of thing.👍
