ssh, bravo, you really broke that down perfectly... actually just picked up some B-complex yesterday, by any chance do you know how long it takes to kick in? Like, does it have a sustained effect or...

Amanda Ramirez69, can you please get back to me on that last question about serotonin?
-Lucius, you feeling sleepy or what... what are you up to?

Kenneth Price74 said:Is it considered "bad manners" to tell a patient they are facing a lifelong condition? Is it wrong to admit there are no perfect cures or complete understandings regarding such illnesses?
Once a patient faces that reality, they can actually move forward with their life, knowing that their own actions play a role in the process.
Does this mean psychoses aren't an excuse? Perhaps. But we cannot claim they don't exist either.
When future medical breakthroughs finally uncover the mechanisms behind these diseases—or perhaps even a cure—who do you think will get access first? Certainly not the average person. It will reach the millionaires and billionaires long before anyone else.

-honestly, you're totally missing the point and you clearly don't have the credentials to be claiming psychosis is just an excuse.
so, if you don't mind me asking, what's your actual diagnosis?
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Kenneth Price74, it would be really classy if you just kept those thoughts to yourself, especially when you’re just tearing people down...
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Look, whether people agree or not, there’s a clear line defining where one illness ends and another begins... it’s just that psychosis and schizophrenia tend to bleed into each other quite a bit.

560,000?
If we actually had that many people, we would've made it all the way to Chicago by now.

-well, that’s just a straight-up official report from the US Department of Defense. A legit document, for sure.🤷

So, what’s the deal with that figure of 560,000 veterans from the war... you think that number is actually legit, or is it just more political spin and manipulation?

Is it just me, or are there no actual PTSD sufferers around here? It’s like either they don't want to speak up, or they're totally fine and just playing the system to score some benefits...

Hey, does anyone know why the thread about PTSD was taken down? thanks🙏
Can I take Praxiten and Sanval together? in Psychology ·
I’ve built up a serious tolerance to Praxiten (honestly, it only really hits if I smear the whole damn pill) and Catapresan and Normabel... I live in a neighborhood here in the States where you can just pick those things up without a prescription.
I'm at my wit's end with my ex in Psychology ·
She thinks she’s some kind of genius, but honestly...
she just can't stop meddling and judging everyone else.
Zero clue what's actually going on in the real world.
Her tongue is sharp, too... way too much attitude.
Everything is such a struggle for her (always playing the victim, refusing help but complaining about it anyway)
She wants to call all the shots, but it just won't happen.
Superficial as hell when you talk to her—it's like she's only listening to herself.
Those Sunday family dinners have become so exhausting I've had to start skipping them more often...

Eric Brown23 said:Look, brother in arms, I felt the exact same way—just lost in the middle of it all. But I've found my footing now, mostly through this community. Even though I still have to watch myself and avoid turning into some fanatic—since I tend to be pretty skeptical—the last two years have been okay. Things are still tough sometimes, but I keep moving forward with my faith. As for sleep... man, I can't catch a break. Between my sleep disorder and everything else, I either can't sleep or I crash for like 15 hours straight. Could be the depression, could be the meds lingering in my system... who knows.

Anyway, tell me—did you spend the whole day and night at the VA getting brain scans? I heard they do those there, specifically for people dealing with psychosis. Do you know anything about that, or maybe Kenneth Price74?🤷 ☕

-I just hope you aren't one of those Jehovah's Witnesses, because those guys can be seriously intense and pushy...
-I've been through all the scans and all that nonsense, and the only thing they ever asked was if I'd been in a car wreck... they had no clue about the shrapnel left in my head from being wounded by an anti-aircraft machine gun...
-Sleep's been a struggle for me, so I ended up getting a dog just to make sure I stay active...
-Hey, Celsius, mind telling me what you do for a living?

To be totally honest, after coming home from the war and dealing with all my injuries... I just couldn't see any point in living. Or maybe I was just too hooked on the combat itself? It was more addictive than any drug, honestly... I just missed it. After dragging myself through countless sessions with different psychiatrists, nothing really clicked. Nothing changed. Living felt unbearable, so I turned to drugs. Maybe it was just the path of least resistance, but whatever... at that moment, it was the only thing keeping me going. Of course, I look at things differently now, especially after staring death right in the face.

Eric Brown23, man, I get where you're coming from... it's tough. But how are you actually helping yourself through this? Besides having faith in God—which I totally respect, and it’s great that you're fighting and staying afloat instead of just letting life sweep you away... there’s still hope out there... Honestly, from everything I see people saying online, I get this nagging feeling that everyone thinks they have it the hardest. It kind of shows how subjective we all are, you know?

Eric Brown23 said:Look,☕ I don't exactly have a burning desire to get things done either, but I found a community—that's what keeps me going. We all carry our own crosses, you, me, everyone else.
Reading this, I used to feel the exact same way—like I had no future, no purpose, no joy, just drifting like a plant. But slowly, things are shifting for the better. I'm moving forward,🙏 leaning on prayer. My advice? Try finding a Catholic community to join. I've been part of a Neo-Catholic group for two years now, and it’s been wonderful. Prayer and the Word help me carry the weight of my psychosis and hallucinations through love; it makes things easier.
I bet you have plenty to say based on everything you've been through, which sounds incredibly heavy.👍 Let's catch up in a private message to swap stories... hang in there.

-thanks, man. I might actually try to make that happen if I put my mind to it🙏

...I just can't find the drive for anything. I can't seem to pull myself out of this total rut, and honestly, I don't see a future or any real goals anymore. I’m just existing, like a houseplant, except even they get photosynthesis... ever since the war, I haven't been the same person. There's just so much piled up on me, making everything feel heavy and pointless... I ended up with a pituitary injury—brain damage—so having kids is off the table, and on top of that, I contracted Hepatitis C during a blood transfusion when I was wounded. It just drains me, limits what I can physically do, and on top of the depression and all that other stuff, it just makes dealing with being sick feel even more overwhelming...
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
...I’ve seen my fair share of combat and I was forced into retirement way too early, but honestly? The war got under my skin way deeper than any drug ever could... if they called me back tomorrow, I’d be there in a heartbeat, no hesitation at all...

Eric Brown23 said:How do you handle it when people bring up the Gulf War—do you get contacted by old vets? For me, some days I can watch stuff about it, and other days I just can't. I was scrolling through YouTube recently, watching clips from back then, and man... you wake up drenched in sweat. The scenes stay in your dreams. You find yourself reliving the whole thing—the grenades, the sound of a truck idling that hits just like a tank or a heavy firework... there's too much to even list, honestly.

-Yeah, same thing. Different packaging, same old story. Honestly, what gets to me most are these fake war heroes and people pretending they were injured in service... you see them all over the neighborhood... while sometimes my own indifference feels almost like I've gone numb...
