It just wobbles around, soaked in all that solution—there's no way I could have tried putting it in my eye dry; that would be like rubbing a razor blade against my eyeball. And what kind of water are you even using to rinse them?
Whatever. 😁 I take them out of the solution, rinse them under the tap. 😁 Still haven't hit the jackpot. 🙂 And then you get poked in the eye.
Daniel Smith8 As requested by: I’ve never had an issue poking around my eye, so I don't feel any pain when putting them in or taking them out. I can even do it without a mirror, which was something I could never manage with my semi-soft lenses—getting them out is fine, but putting them in? Never happened.
It doesn't actually hurt, but that sensation you get in your eye when you press on it... 👎 ... I mean, that’s far from the truth. It's all just a matter of habit. I put them in and take them out without even using a mirror. I haven't thought about it in ages.
Take the soft lens out of the solution, rinse it with water, pop it on your finger—it’s never slipped out on me, though when it sticks 😛—and get it onto your eye within about 0.2 seconds. Soft lenses are larger, so you almost have to pull your eyelid back to get it right (unless you’re some kind of owl 😁), or at least that’s what I have to do to get it seated properly.
As for removal... it's never been an accidental thing for me, but when I actually mean to do it, it takes about 0.1 seconds. 😁
Removing soft lenses: you have to touch the eye with two fingers, grab the lens, pinch it, and pull it out :onesvijestise:

What is the point of that setting if I'm being subscribed automatically? What logic is the site using? Is it based on my post count?
I reply to a million different threads, yet they aren't in my subscriptions—except for a few I didn't actually select myself.
In the settings, you can choose to be subscribed to a thread only after you've replied to it. You check the instant e-mail notification box...
Once you do that, the system automatically subscribes you the moment you drop your first post.
The specific per-thread option exists for those times when you want to follow a discussion without having anything to contribute yet, or if you don't plan to.
