It honestly feels like the heavens heard a prayer coming straight out of some small town in the Midwest.
Matthew Young35 said:The economy has already endured far more aggressive measures than just sitting idle for two months. Think about World War II. It dragged on for six years—a massive blow to any nation's financial stability—yet twenty or thirty years later, those countries emerged economically stronger than they had ever been. Sadly, tens of millions of lives lost can't be brought back to witness that recovery. We are looking at a similar trajectory here. Long before this current virus, there were other epidemics that wiped out a third of the population. Is it really irrational to prepare for the worst? Taking precautions isn't a panic response; it's simply common sense.
Honestly though, I think it is a total panic reaction, and a late one at that. Just look at how Asia handled the crisis—specifically the areas east of India—and then compare that to how Europe and the USA dealt with it.
Hold on. Just take a minute to actually think about it.
Isn't this just your textbook example of a panicked, delayed response?
You basically just flipped the board, scrambled all his pieces, and delivered a total checkmate, while Bjesomarica is just hanging out in the background humming 'that's my type, that's my type'
What does Jane say to Bob whenever she walks into a room that looks like a tornado hit it? Clean this mess up, Bob, because I am definitely not your Jane.😂
As the number of people getting tested keeps climbing, that mortality rate among those infected starts dropping too, and right now we’re looking at about 6.8% globally, with only about 2% of the current active cases—which are sitting at around 2.2 million—being critical. If you take these infection numbers and multiply them by at least ten, which is totally doable, the death rate drops down to 0.7%. And if you go by some of the other estimates suggesting there are 30 to 80 times more infections out there, we’re talking a global mortality rate somewhere between 0.23% and 0.086%.
I don't feel like digging through Google right this second, but I'm pretty sure the percentage of folks over 65 among the deceased is north of 95%.
The data is staring us right in the face and it doesn't lie. Any kind of quarantine or lockdown for a second wave would just be a move made by complete idiots.
How are we supposed to protect the elderly? Look, folks, you've had at least three months to come up with a solid strategy to shield seniors and people with chronic illnesses. At the end of the day, we're putting our bets on the Germans. Danke Deutschland.
Honestly, I think Brandon’s got a much better shot if he keeps the mask on, you know? Like, when he stays quiet and just lets things breathe, instead of constantly suffocating everyone with his endless rants about the Lakers and the Spurs 🙄
Messi can't ever be caught slipping because if they actually checked his growth hormone levels, the needle would probably snap right off the gauge, so they just blame the equipment and tell everyone to chill out and stay calm 😂
Man, people really lose their minds over this, thinking back to how the Bulls just absolutely owned the entire nineties, but you have to remember that whole decade was also defined by the chaos of the wars in the North America, running from Canada all the way through to the bombings in Mexico. People always say you can't grow up to be some soft, pampered kid when you're coming from a place that went through all that grit, yet here you guys are, acting all entitled and nostalgic for some outdated era of government handouts and prosperity that never actually existed for us—you wouldn't know what real struggle looks like if it hit you in the face. 🤣
So I was just watching this clip where Scottie Pippen is talking about how the Bulls basically had two more rings sitting right there waiting for them, and when he was asked what would’ve happened if they hadn't completely fallen apart in '98, he basically said their biggest competition at the time were just teams with older rosters, and honestly, they could've easily snatched another one or two championships out of thin air. It’s such a shame, though, and honestly maybe the biggest tragedy of all for Toni Kukoč, because I truly feel like he didn't even get to show his full potential, and I really think that's when his specific style of play would have finally taken center stage.
It’s honestly wild how they’ve managed to drag Gates into all these conspiracy theories lately, like once they set their sights on him, there's no turning back and they're just going to keep suffocating him with it for the rest of his life.
Look, there’s a massive difference between just making wild guesses and actually looking at hard data. Everyone’s out here shouting from the rooftops about how this little piece of crap has been lurking around and spreading way more than we thought, but honestly, none of that carries any weight until someone actually puts the receipts on the table. That’s why this news coming out of France is something we really need to amplify, rather than just mashing it together with all our own local theories right away.
So, get this: they took a sample from a patient suffering from pneumonia back on December 27th, and they found the coronavirus in it. Around that same time, the case count over in China was sitting somewhere under a hundred, give or take.
But what’s even more wild is that this guy in France hadn't had any contact with anyone from overseas, so he isn't actually "Patient Zero" like the headlines are trying to claim.

All those cyclists look gross to me. They're all sunburnt like roasted chickens, squeezed into those tight latex outfits, wearing those ridiculous little helmets. They're skin and bones. A few years back, I saw some nasty photos online of a cyclist's muscles after a race—I am definitely not Googling that again unless I want to gag.
And if I remember correctly, most of them end up with testicular cancer or at least have a significantly higher risk for it.
