So, here’s what I’m actually looking for. I’m trying to figure out which wood is the absolute best choice for making tool handles—and more importantly, where can I actually track some down? Ideally, I need something that hits that sweet spot of being incredibly hard yet surprisingly lightweight. Honestly, budget isn't really a factor here; I just want the best quality possible.
It also needs to be easy enough to work with, since I’m planning on carving them all myself.
I'm talking about handles for things like pickaxes, shovels, and similar gear.
A little digging never hurt anyone, right? 👍
