Question for the admins and mods... in Forum Help! ·
redmarlin3 said:I’m just not feeling the urge to hit that like button today. 😳 I have to say, that Great Pyramid is looking a little rough around the edges to me lately—kind of a bit underwhelming, if I'm being honest! 😁

So, what am I supposed to do then? I don't exactly have a spare Great Pyramid lying around to use for a second icon—as much as I'd love to have one of those sitting on my desk! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mark Martinez4^ is my suggestion 🙏

My suggestion would be ^^—it almost looks like two tiny little pyramids 😍

That user hasn't been seen in ages, honestly, who knows when they were last active? 🤦

Maybe go with Pyramid^ 🤷 unless you have some other little character in mind to set yourself apart 🤣

Alright, thanks for the heads-up. I can wait; it’s not like it’s some massive emergency or anything. 😁

I'm honestly looking forward to finally becoming a full-fledged "Sun Pyramid" member. 🙂

Have you actually sat down and consulted with your doctor or a psychiatrist about how this transformation might impact you as a person? You really shouldn't take things like this lightly—it’s better to sleep on it one more time and make sure this is truly what you want. There's no going back once you commit, and if the procedure doesn't go according to plan or yields unexpected results, you could end up facing life-altering complications. 😢

Besides, there's no need to feel self-conscious about your underscore—honestly, plenty of girls find that kind of thing pretty sexy these days! 🙂

Oh, definitely not—once I get my name changed, I'm going straight for gender reassignment. Then, I'll move on to pituitary surgery, swap out my bones for titanium, upgrade my brain to a digital matrix, and eventually, I'll just become Borg. 🙄

Dear friends and esteemed colleagues...

After two and a half years here, I feel like I’ve finally reached a sort of milestone—an "adult" moment, if you will—and I’d really love to treat myself to a little personal upgrade. Specifically, I’m looking to trim down my username, Sun Pyramid, by removing the "_Sun" part.

Since I don't have the administrative tools to change my own handle, I was wondering if any of our wonderful moderators might be willing to do me this small, yet deeply meaningful, favor.

I truly appreciate your help with this.

Your loyal member, Sun Pyramid 🙂

That said, I did double-check what I wrote earlier; I was specifically referring to those bottles someone might have unearthed from an old attic or a basement or somewhere along those lines... honestly, who knows? Anyway, I’ve reached out to some folks outside the US, so we’ll just have to wait and see if anyone actually gets back to me. Either way, thanks for listening...

If we were talking about wine sealed with cork, there might be some real value there—though, of course, it all hinges on the varietal and the vintage. But whisky? Not quite the same thing. I once opened a bottle that my late uncle had received from an American traveler they met in Italy right toward the end of World War II... and to put it bluntly, it was total junk.

If you're sitting on a bottle of cheap swill, it doesn't matter if you let it age for forty years—it’s still just garbage in a glass bottle. ☕
I’m telling you from personal experience...

I find myself repeating this all the time—Mark Martinez4, you really have to carry a spare mouse, you absolutely need to have an extra lighter on you, and honestly, Mark Martinez4, you should at least keep a pack of cigarettes in your pocket... just so you aren't left stranded when things go sideways. But it seems like Mark Martinez4 never quite manages to keep anything in reserve when it actually matters!

I just can't seem to wrap my head around the whole "always carry a backup mouse" thing. Right now, I'm stuck trying to navigate Photoshop using nothing but my laptop's touchpad 🤦

By the way—just tuck it into your bag and you’ll be golden. Honestly, neither she nor the Customs agent is going to notice a thing. They're total clowns!

If the bag isn't worth more than $167 then who cares what the Customs officer thinks anyway😉

Rebecca Ruiz89 said:Here’s my dilemma—I’m heading into Boston tomorrow and a friend tagged along (someone I really wasn't looking to bring along, if I'm being honest). I’m planning on picking up a new handbag, but I absolutely do not want her to see what I'm buying. My concern is that if I just tuck it into a shopping bag, the customs officer might spot it and try to tax it. Does anyone know a way I can hide it from her eyes? Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated—please help me out!

Now look, I once heard about an inmate in the USA who managed to smuggle two whole packs of cigarettes in through... well, let's just say "unconventional" means, so I honestly think hiding a small purse should be a breeze if you've got enough determination!
Raymond Newman said:Does anyone happen to know where I might find some good peanut butter around here in the city?

Check out the local Trader Joe's—or honestly, just head over to a nearby Kroger or Walmart if you're looking for variety. Though, if you want to keep it simple, you can usually find a decent selection at a local Target or even a Safeway depending on where you're parked.
Jessica Torres63 said:Thanks man, I actually tracked it down there, it was a little bit pricier than $350, like maybe $530 or something, but honestly, it’s totally fine...

Well, honestly—I completely misunderstood which type we were talking about—so I ended up going full price on that one!
By the way—just for those who might not know—Mobis is actually the official representative for Nokia over here in the States. 😉
Noah Roberts75 said:Where can I pick up a small, portable compass in the Los Angeles area or somewhere nearby?

Honestly, if you aren't looking for anything fancy—just something basic to get by—you probably have one sitting in a junk drawer somewhere.
The location of that drawer is:
3 Prima Ave, Ruđera Boškovića, 3rd floor
Right near the courthouse downtown, tucked between Turbo Metal and Duge
Over in Spinut, on HRM Street heading toward Poljud, on the left side

Now, if you actually need something higher quality—you know, something that won't fail you when you really need it—you might want to check out Hervis, PTC Joker, or maybe head over to Brodarica.
Nicholas Smith4 said:Where can I find those half-heart bracelets? You know—the kind where you buy a pair, each with half a heart, so they actually fit together when worn.

If you happen to be down in Miami, there's a jewelry shop called Argentum right on the waterfront that carries stuff just like that.
granitetrucker902 said:That’s exactly what I was wondering too...

Though they don't strictly need to be that massive; honestly, any decent size works for me, as long as they aren't those little kid ones featuring Donald Duck or whatever, but something actually intended for adults...😁

You can actually make them yourself.
Some local photo labs have these industrial puzzle-cutting machines—they can handle up to 5,000 pieces if you want!
You just bring in your own photo, and that’s pretty much it.
ironhound15 said:I have a question for the group. Does anyone happen to know where I can track down some decent velour leather or even just standard leather for sewing coats and similar heavy pieces? I’ve been scouring the internet for ages, but honestly, it feels like a total ghost town out there—nothing useful keeps popping up in my searches. If anyone has a lead on a specific shop, preferably somewhere in a major hub like Chicago or New York, I would be eternally grateful.

Check out Fregat over on Ruđera Boškovića in Split 3. It's right at the bottom of the street—once you pass the pedestrian walkway, just head about 20 yards further down on your left side.
