Bautista is basically the doctor of acting when it comes to Rock. And plenty of others, too.
What a mess... looking for someone to chat with about just about anything. Just don't be an extremist on any topic, and we'll get along fine. Looking for someone in their 30s or 40s. Hit me up in my DMs. 🙂

Honestly, everything except those two (Portman and Gorr) feels like a cartoon to me. I can't stand Taika's style. It’s not just that the humor is excessive; it’s like watching a kid go feral in a candy store.

I think it's fine. Honestly, better than Thanos and that crowd. You can basically say that about any role at this point. I guess it just comes down to what people prefer.😉 To be fair, when I first saw the picture—before the trailer actually dropped—I didn't even realize who it was. I thought they were those characters from the Star Wars Eclipse trailer, the ones beating on the drums. What a mess.
The makeup looks incredible. Bale looks just like Gorr—honestly, you can’t go wrong when he’s cast. I’m really glad they went with practical effects and prosthetics instead of relying on cheap CGI.
4. Honestly, the Thor movies have become such a mess that you can barely tell what the hell they're even about anymore... If Taika Waititi just cut the jokes by half, he’d actually hit the mark. 👍
driftingbear29 said:driftingbear29, I hope you’re getting all the support you need right now after losing your dad 🙂 If it helps at all, I truly understand where you're coming from because I live with that same underlying fear. It’s good that you’re recognizing the early signs of this anxiety and the dread that follows you; I feel it too. For some people—not everyone, of course—it leaves this lasting mark where you're constantly on edge, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. My own earliest memories involve my parent nearly passing away from a serious illness. I was young, but I was aware enough... and that stayed with me as a constant fear for my loved ones. It’s a heavy, almost traumatic awareness that loss is always lurking in the background 🙂 I mean, death is inevitable for all of us, and goodness 😁 But I really do want you to know that I get it 😘
Have you talked to your mom about whether there's any way she could move closer to you?
Maybe consider looking into some counseling. It might help you gradually reach the core of the issue and realize, perhaps with a professional's help, that we aren't actually responsible for our loved ones in the way we think we are (like the way you and I care for each other 🙂). It’s a deep realization that needs processing, and sometimes it isn't as simple as people make it out to be 😁
If someone won't listen even after x calm, reasoned conversations explaining why help would be beneficial, then you have to accept that you've done your part. Maybe her generation views seeing a psychologist as something shameful. (She doesn't necessarily need a psychiatrist; she should probably start with basic counseling first.) Then again, if she truly relies on that paycheck and doesn't have children who can step in financially during a leave of absence, you can understand a bit of that fear. However, the way she's expressing her frustration and refusal is definitely something that requires professional intervention 😁
Thanks for the reply. I ended up telling her something similar—if a person won't help themselves, there's nothing more you can do. You can't stretch yourself thin trying to fix someone who has zero willpower. Everyone is an adult and responsible for their own health. I didn't even bother commenting on the other nonsense; I'm not interested in wasting my breath on things said out of pure panic and rage.
How do I even help a friend at this point? Her mom is clearly spiraling and needs professional therapy, but she’s dealing with constant workplace bullying and it’s completely broken her. She’s having outbursts and is just totally unstable because of it. When her kids suggest she take medical leave, she just starts screaming at them, panicking that she’ll lose her job and starve to death—just total nonsense. She ends up snapping at everyone who actually tries to help her. She just cries and wanders off into the night, lost. I don't know what to say to her. I'm her daughter and her only real friend right now, and I feel helpless. She refuses to quit, refuses sick leave, and won't see a psychiatrist.
Looking for a girl, maybe 30-35. Someone who actually knows how to hold a conversation and isn't just staring at a screen. If you've got that feminine energy I'm missing, hit me up in my DMs.
Christian Myers said:Am I really the only one who thinks Stewartica is terrible as Diana? She just doesn't capture her essence at all—aside from the look, which doesn't even matter when it comes to Stewartica. Plus, the movie itself doesn't look great. But hey, with how much they're pushing her, she might end up snagging a statue (probably Hudsonica for Aretha).
Nah, you aren't alone. It's like she has Xanax running through her veins. She has exactly one facial expression. God knows who is forcing this on us...
Honestly, she might as well bother filing an appeal since they clearly felt the need to squeeze American women off the podium. Sadly, it’s just a case of whoever has the most power pushing everyone else aside. Sports is nothing more than politics.
