About a year back, Kevin Feige announced that Blade—the vampire hunter himself—is finally joining the MCU, with Mahershal ali taking the lead. We’re still playing the waiting game regarding an actual release date, though production is slated to kick off sometime next year. Even without a standalone film yet, we've had a tiny taste of him via a post-credit voice cameo in Eternals.

Bassam Tariq is set to direct, with Stacy Osei-Kuffour handling the script.

As for Phase 4, I don't know, I’m mostly just expecting another absolute disaster.

I honestly think it might be a refreshing change of pace if they cast a white actor as Blade for once.

I feel like Mahershal ali leans a bit too heavily into the dramatic side of things. I’m honestly not sure if he can nail this specific role.

Nothing is ever going to top that opening scene from the first Blade blood rave.

Look, Lik is a solid actor, but he’s just not the guy for Blade.

Honestly, they should've just gone with the villain from Black Panther instead.

I feel the same way about Blade. I honestly doubt he can pull off a character who just walks into a room without any real drive and starts swinging at everyone. Because he’s the lead, the director is likely going to adjust things to suit his style, which usually means tailoring the scenes to fit how he prefers to act.

People had their doubts about Ledger, too. And then look how he totally blew everyone away.

I’ve always been such a huge fan of Blade, so I am genuinely looking forward to seeing the new one!

Maybe for a change, Bladea should just let Keanu Reeves take the lead; he seems built for those kinds of roles, where you get plenty of action and grit reminiscent of John Wick.😁

From what I saw in True Story, Wesley still looks fantastic. Couldn't he pull it off one more time?

I wouldn't go that far, honestly, because even during the production of the third installment, he seemed to be filming from behind the scenes, mostly just capturing shots where his face was visible.
As for this upcoming movie, I suspect we might be looking at an absolute epic fail.

I thought the original Blade with Wesley was top-tier.

But this new direction? It’s got a massive problem.
The old Blade lived in its own world—there weren't any other superheroes running around, so the whole thing could just be a pure action-horror flick.
Now, though, everything is being shoved into one giant universe alongside the Avengers and the Eternals and this endless parade of caped crusaders. They're going to throw someone else in there, the plot is bound to get watered down, and let's be honest—the movie will probably end up looking and feeling just like every other Marvel movie out there.
