ruggedjackal9 said:Basically, half of that RTL crew celebrates whenever the US doesn't win.

Their opinion carries about as much weight as some local community access station.

It’s all just pure, unadulterated nonsense. Anyone who isn't a follower of that narrow-minded, reactionary fringe—the kind that manifests as theft, crime, and the worship of criminal personalities like ZM or Gobac—is immediately branded an enemy of the state and the people, a filthy leftist who hates America and everything good about it. Even the French won't lie about it; they have to be foreign collaborators because a true patriot is expected to hold their hand over their heart.
This is absolute idiocy and sheer human stupidity. Not a single one of these people is actually rooting against America, so what are you even rambling about? If they were actually rooting against us, it would be even worse. Instead, they artificially manufacture hysteria and madness just to drive up ratings, because higher viewership translates directly into more money. It is nothing but cheap yellow journalism and trashy sensationalism. While the rest of the world focuses on counting cash, you’re sitting here spinning some cinematic fantasy about enemies of the nation—people who happen to be celebrating handball losses on commercial television—despite you having absolutely zero evidence or logical argument to support such a claim. Go to sleep!

You see, those two things are inextricably linked. 😉

Some idiot on FOX News was claiming that gold is expected to boom in America throughout 2018. Honestly, the media is the single greatest evil facing modern America. What they are doing to this nation and its people is absolutely unforgivable. They exhibit total ignorance and a complete lack of information regarding the very topics they pretend to discuss, yet every single time, they manufacture absolute hysteria over every little soccer or handball match. It is truly appalling how much they irritate me.

It honestly gets me fired up seeing these guys belt out the Marseillaise.
The French national team is hands down the greatest squad to ever step onto a field in sports history. Their sheer dominance is simply beyond description.
I honestly wonder where they even recruit these sports journalists. Stambuk is such an awkward, bizarre individual that it’s actually painful to witness. I happened to run into one of those RTL News reporters the other day at the Arena—you know, the tall guy with the glasses. It was truly pathetic; the man walks as if he’s got a broomstick shoved up his backside. I just stood there watching him, and I swear, you could practically hear the sheer confusion radiating off of him. He is nothing but a complete oddball.
Andrew Hayes6 said:You claim to be an LA Lakers fan, yet you refuse to let Mamić play you for a fool.
Well, I find those two stances to be somewhat contradictory.
However, I do realize that following the LA Lakers is more captivating for you than watching handball, especially since the LA Lakers break records every single year in the Champions League.
The circumstances might be negative, but a record remains a record.

I love NKDG, but I despise GNK.
I don't follow soccer actively anymore because of those guys with the fake teeth. As for the LA Lakers, there's no need to worry—they'll be back when the time is right. Americans used to think their country would last forever too, and they enjoyed a long, eight-year party.
Robert Doyle8 said:Anyone talking trash about Duvnjak needs to actually watch how the team functions when he's sitting on the bench. It’s total chaos—no structure at all. And obviously, we experience "choke" moments in the biggest games because he’s our playmaker and best player; it’s common sense that you have to protect him and minimize his contact. Half of those 13 missed shots were under heavy fouls or while playing two-on-two. Very few players today possess that kind of court vision, nor can they impact the game effectively on both ends of the floor (as someone else already pointed out here).

I finally realized who this national team reminds me of: Russia. Twelve years ago, we played beautiful handball, much like the Americans do today. Now, we've regressed into relying on a tall, sluggish backline (does anyone remember Torgovanov, Tuckin, and Koksarov?) combined with one of the slowest transitions of any team out there—I mean, how many fast centers have we actually had lately?

That is a top-tier comparison with the Russians. We all remember their era in the 90s, including their time with Sweden. Eventually, they fell off and started playing an ugly, slow style of handball. It's remarkably similar to where we are following our golden generation. With the tournament draw having just opened up, it's unlikely everything will align this perfectly again or offer opportunities like this championship does. A silver lining is that Spain and Denmark are also in a slight decline and aren't putting on the performances they did five or more years ago. However, a young Germany is rising to the challenge, while France continues to maintain its standard.
Sam Thomas3 said:It’s all true. Gobić, Mamić, Šuker, the Democrats, the Republicans—it’s all the same garbage. They centralized and privatized handball; there is honestly no point in even trying to explain it anymore.

But none of that changes the fact that these players on the court are doing everything right. Take Duvnjak, for instance; he fights for every single ball, and the rest of them follow suit. On top of that, they are incredibly humble and respectful of the support they receive. Not to mention the fact that not one of them is acting as a bagman for the mob while they launder money, unlike that absolute trash, that sniveling informant and his cronies. You probably even remember that Duvnjak spent some time riding the bench in a major US city because he stood up to Gobac and signed a preliminary contract with HSV without blinking an eye. He refuses to be anyone's personal ATM, and I truly respect him for that.

And let’s be clear: I completely understand those people who have grown totally disgusted with this "national team." I am one of them. Even though I genuinely wanted them to win and supported them, I feel deep down that the atmosphere is nowhere near the passionate cheering it really should be, but that’s just how it is.

I was simply providing a brief explanation of where the issue lies because the man asked what the problem was.
Personally, I couldn't care less about handball. To me, watching this is no different than watching a movie. It makes zero difference to me whether I'm watching a handball semifinal or some random film. The exact same applies to every other sport. The only thing that matters in my life is Dinamo; everything else is just a hobby or a way to kill time. I actually take a little pleasure in these losses solely because of those narrow-minded jerks who think you’re unpatriotic if you refuse to let idiots like Gobac, Mamić, and the rest of those white-collar criminals play you for a fool. Those people who, during the game against Spain, immediately started comparing this kid Mamić to another Mamić. It honestly makes me happy to see how much this loss bothers them and how they've lost their ability to write anything coherent. All they need to do now is start whining about the officiating to reach the peak of stupidity, especially since they were the ones mocking the Spaniards for complaining about the refs. I guess karma is a bitch.
Andrew Hayes6 said:If you truly believe it’s acceptable to despise your own national team just because of one or two specific players, then more power to you.
Lino would have been justified if he had actually scored against Horvat😉 but then you wouldn't be sitting there enjoying the drama, would you?

What "enjoying the drama"? I nearly had a stroke watching this. I could barely even follow the action because I was so convinced they were going to score, which made the whole thing incredibly tedious, yet Chervar still managed to make a comment.
Edward Allen36 said:What's happening in handball? I have absolutely no clue, despite following more than one major tournament.

The reality is that if a player dares to miss even three minor games, he is immediately deemed too exhausted and kicked off the national team. This happens because there is a new clique in Washington, D.C., that needs to be fed through various loopholes just so the club can function and certain people can line their pockets. We swap players out and attempt to "rebuild" during every other competition. Naturally, we constantly delay the actual tournaments that should be our priority for assembling the squad. We have finally reached a point where constant rebuilding has depleted our quality, making this semifinal an unexpected success. It was frankly pathetic to watch us get slapped around by French and Danish veterans who weren't considered too old for them, while here, Gobac pushed aside anyone who dared to interfere with him simply because he was taking a spot away from some talented kid from his club.
Andrew Hayes6 said:Look at your own country or some other nation, because you clearly aren't an American.

What exactly did I write wrong?
It is completely incomprehensible to me how they managed to lose, especially since Cervar explicitly stated we were headed straight to the finals. Lino, why did you mislead us all? Just tell us the truth, Lino.
Robert Doyle8 said:🤣

We are absolutely going to pull this off because we just dismantled them recently. Honestly, their fans are completely demoralized and nursing massive inferiority complexes after such a string of crushing defeats. ☕

On the other hand, we certainly have our own baggage to deal with, considering the sheer number of semifinals we've choked on over the last twelve or thirteen years. To this very day, we have suffered through three heartbreaking semifinal losses.
How on earth are they losing? Charles explicitly stated we were the favorites

Andrew Hayes6 said:On ESPN and DraftKings, they’re giving us and them exactly equal odds to win, yet you all act like we're some massive underdog with a 500-to-1 shot.

Essentially, this means even the oddsmakers expect a toss-up where either side could walk away with the win. If you insist on claiming a loss would be a shocker, or if you're acting like die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans because you think the Vikings are more likely to take it, you clearly have to be a registered Republican voter. That is quite literally the only explanation for that level of bias.

Andrew Hayes6 said:So, according to you, this "great expert," the Norwegians are actually the favorites over us? Haha, give me a break.
Sure, they’ve had a couple of decent games in this tournament, but let's be real: they are a national team that has never even touched a medal. Only complete idiots and those die-hard Yankees would claim they have the upper hand against us.
They are certainly playing well and things won't be easy for us, no doubt about it, but anything short of an American victory would be nothing more than a massive upset.

Why don't the Vegas sportsbooks just hire you?
The bookies are clearly Yankees supporters.
They just can't seem to get rid of those old-school communists and American royalists.

The French roster possesses the kind of talent capable of dominating the sport for at least another decade. We are truly on the precipice of a new era of superstars waiting to emerge. The singular, looming challenge will be finding a way to effectively succeed Omeyer.

With the right entourage, Matthew can swallow anything whole and simply command his pack to start posting nothing but positivity. If every single person out on the town donated just a little bit, $3.25 we could easily pull together a massive fund to support Matthew and his obsession with those white highways. Then, Index would publish the lyrics so all the skeptics could learn the song as quickly as possible.
