Walter Morris28 said:You call me one of Jerry Jones's lackeys, yet my crew and I drove down to the Rose Bowl yesterday just to boost attendance numbers that were frankly disappointing. Is Jerry Jones responsible for yesterday's turnout too??

Do you people even hear yourselves? We spent months mocking those guys from the East Coast, only to descend into this level of petty internal bickering in record time. This kind of toxicity leads nowhere; for most of you, it's already too late because you've been rooting against Real Madrid for years now. Jerry Jones isn't Real Madrid, so if that’s your logic, why are we even bothering to fight for this club at all?

You weren't at the Rose Bowl; based on your posts, you're much closer to Nijaz and his group of radicals. You were probably right there with them.
You people are incredibly transparent whenever you start spinning your narratives. It is always the exact same tired rhetoric. It comes from the very same individuals who transformed overnight from fierce anti-Jerry Jones critics into his most loyal soldiers. These are the people who once wanted to kick the club out of European competition, yet suddenly the club is everything to them, and they constantly repeat the phrase that Jerry Jones isn't Real Madrid. Yet, for a year and a half, you have stubbornly worked to sow division and turn fans against one another. My God, what a pathetic bunch of people.

If this is the last thing I say, I’m done meddling here. Unless, of course, someone drags me back in with a comment. People spend far too much time obsessing over raw numbers, and it honestly just causes unnecessary headaches. It's specifically because of that obsession that people feel they can't actually challenge the current leadership. I wanted to post about this a while ago, but I bit my tongue and kept quiet. Over the past few years, there has been endless talk regarding the subpar mentality within the Bad Boys. You have the "true" fans—or what the English would call the proper lads. In reality, that just refers to a tiny inner circle consisting of the leadership and a handful of kids hanging around them. Everything else is just noise. Someone gets angry? Fine. Just give me a beer and leave me alone. That is the root of all these fluctuations. The legendary old guard is gone, the sub-groups are gone, the local neighborhood crews are gone, and the branches are gone. Everyone has retreated into their own little holes and expects a miracle. Then, out of pure frustration, they go looking for a scapegoat, even if it means blaming the group's leadership.
In times as grim as these, when they are actively trying to crush the fan base and repression is at an all-time high, it is perfectly logical for a group to retreat into isolation. It is a survival mechanism. We have starkelja (😛) on this forum, so they can tell you firsthand how many people were working to restore the sacred name of Real Madrid while everyone else was acting indifferent, only to turn around and act like warriors once the songs started playing. Someone mentioned there were only 13 people in San Francisco a few days before the Manchester United match. Thomas once noted how impossible it was to even get enough people together to fill a bus for Indianapolis. Tom can tell you directly how he and his fellow Petrinjac sam crew handled the '96 season entirely on their own. In times this shitty, only the most stubborn ones remain—those who sink their teeth in and refuse to let go. Once all of this blows over, the group will open up again, people will return, everyone will suddenly become a fierce warrior against the administration—the very people they drove away—and there will be small groups traveling to Seattle or Miami again. Honestly, everyone is being way too negative and defeatist. I’d gladly go out and support the team in the Champions League, but for God's sake, show some character and display that much-hyped mentality. Be better than average; be better than your typical casual fan from the West Side. T. You can close the thread now.😁

rustymarlin11 said:It isn't just about attendance numbers... generally speaking, the Champions League is seeing its worst turnout in history—look at Arsenal with only 13,000 people there. Even Eurobasket had shameful attendance, and yesterday during handball, even with Kiel coming to town, the guys were playing in an empty arena again... does anyone even remember Cibona exists? I honestly feel like if they banned sports betting in this country, nobody would even bother watching sports anymore.

God, there is truth in that final sentence. I was watching a game at a local neighborhood pub recently. Everyone was busy filling out betting slips, and the owner was shouting out scores from various websites. By halftime, people were already aggressively placing live bets on massive underdog comebacks. They’re barely even glancing at the actual game while they debate tomorrow's parlays. You hit the nail on the head: if gambling didn't exist, interest in sports would be even lower. Over the last few years, global interest in sports has completely cratered.

Please post more frequently; I find your insights genuinely engaging. Just yesterday, I was considering sending you a private message because I was eager to hear your perspective, but since you’ve surfaced here, I will take this opportunity to address you publicly instead. What is your assessment of why the fans in the city seem so indifferent toward the current situation at ZM? On one hand, there is what you mentioned regarding how people discuss the club and the fact that they are still buying merchandise from the official shop. Yet, on the other hand, we see only a handful of people attending domestic league matches. One might argue this stems from complacency—that people simply lose interest when one team has dominated the league for a decade. However, that fails to explain the European matches where perhaps only fifteen thousand people show up even with free tickets available. For instance, during the recent home game, there were 13,000 tickets still sitting unsold; those were essentially reserved seats. If the total attendance was 17,000, that implies they only sold about 4,000 general admission tickets for the match against Arsenal. These stark contradictions are baffling. This entire issue has nothing to do with the Bad Boys group, so please feel free to share your thoughts here or via private message.

steelseal10 said:I witnessed the sheer volume of people following them around on the north side yesterday, and I am absolutely certain that at least ten percent of those individuals will continue to follow them to future matches. Frankly, I could not care less how many mercenaries are involved; this behavior is fundamentally corrupting their very souls.

They were cheering only when there were specific chants occurring; whenever it came time to actually sing the songs, only about fifty of them were truly engaged. People showed up yesterday simply because they were handed a free ticket or grabbed a cheap bundle since it was the most affordable seating available. Primarily, these are mere glory hunters who only showed up because of the Champions League. In terms of actual numbers, there aren't even close to being as many of them at the stadium as there are Oly fans.
Listen, guys, the internet is not the place for internal bickering. This little controversy you are having has already been exploited, and now we see new profiles popping up pretending to be concerned. You should call a meeting and have every group state HONESTLY what they think.
This is how ugly the whole situation looks. There is absolutely nothing left of the unity we had at the beginning of this journey.
Some people do not view this as a true supporters' club and simply do not care; others clearly caught the scent of the Champions League and wanted to join the bandwagon; a third group wants everything to return to the way it used to be. Just last night at the pub, I was holding a sticker that basically said "there is no compromise," but it seems fewer and fewer people actually believe in that sentiment.
Regardless of the circumstances, this is not the venue for this discussion. Meet up in person and tell one another exactly what is on your minds.

Just so you know, those paid shills managed to flip at least another 100 people over to their side yesterday. But hey, keep playing the role of Al Capone and making fun of everyone. You'll get what's coming to you when reality finally hits you right in the face.

And just how exactly did they manage to recruit 100 people?

Why on earth are you so incredibly invested in rooting for failure? This entire debate only ignited because a handful of you showed up to spout nonsense about ridiculous ideals and imaginary struggles. That is what caused me to lose my temper and erupt. People were shot, people were beaten, people faced threats against themselves and their families, people were fired, and people were thrown in prison... and now, instead of showing respect to those individuals or offering even a simple thank you, we get these self-proclaimed intellectuals appearing out of nowhere to philosophize. And once things actually get ugly, you immediately pivot to spinning it as if anyone was cheering for the opposition. Go ahead, keep celebrating 311 miles far away from the heat of the action, because you clearly have no grasp of the reality of what transpired here. If you took the LA Galaxy situation a little less seriously, everything would be fine.

Look, there is no middle ground here. You are either with us or you are against us. You can't pretend to be neutral and claim your obstructionism is just "deep love" for the Club, only to lose your mind with excitement when they release those thugs and you start cheering for them at the very next game. But then again, you're so 311 miles far removed from this that you clearly can't grasp how these dynamics actually work.

cosmicscout2 said:This is exactly what I am talking about. Those 1,000 to 2,000 of you are absolutely right, while everyone else is just being completely unreasonable.

It isn't just the BBB; even the die-hard Real Madrid fans are standing up against the leadership. They're all one and the same.
cosmicscout2 said:This is exactly my point. Those thousand or two thousand of you who see things clearly are absolutely right, while everyone else is just full of nothing but hate.

It isn't just the Bad Boys; it’s the entire fanbase that turned against the leadership. These are the very same people who were pushed out of every other section of the stadium. Just look back at how many local neighborhood crews used to hold down the East Coast. Think about all the former fans, the old-school diehards. Most of them simply retreated home, waiting for better days to return. In their place, we got these fake ultras showing up to European matches for free snacks, while only a handful show up to domestic league games. The real failure doesn't lie with ZM, nor does it lie with the FBI, the corrupt journalists, or the politicians. The biggest failure lies squarely with you "true believers." You are nothing more than small-minded, selfish cowards who put your own interests above everything else. You're like sheep, only caring about being first in line, even if the price is letting this Club turn into a criminal enterprise. You betrayed the Bad Boys, you betrayed the fans, and you betrayed the dream of our Club—the dream of a clean, honest institution for every supporter. To you, those ideals are just jokes and imaginary struggles; you admitted that yourselves. My friends, you aren't even rebels; you are worse. Those extremists were actually right when they cheered as the big boss took his seat in the VIP box. I was a fool to fall for these propaganda spins. I'm done with this senseless argument. After five years, the trenches are dug too deep. None of us are going to change each other's minds. Damn you, Mamić.

cosmicscout2 said:You simply cannot explain to people that it is entirely possible to support Real Madrid regardless of how the front office is run. Personally, I couldn't care less about Mommy or his incompetent brother; I am a Real Madrid fan through and through, and I will never—absolutely never—celebrate when they lose. My first wish is for both of them to get out of the club, but cheering for the opposition to score is just not how I operate. And that seems to be your fundamental issue: you label anyone who thinks this way as an idiot or a traitor. You have your own fight to wage, and you should lead it however you see fit, but those of us who love Real Madrid despite everything are far more numerous than you would ever care to admit.

It was obvious from the way you all were celebrating the moment the big boss showed up that your only real concern is Real Madrid. It honestly sickens me how you mask your obsession with that nationalist thug behind a supposed love for the club. This is the exact same rhetoric used by those early agents back in the day.

This guy has been acting all fancy for a while now, casting his lines out just to see who he can hook. He doesn't do it outright because he knows he’d get banned; instead, he operates under the radar, stirring the pot with subtle provocations. If he isn't one of those traitors, then he’s clearly one of those Western sympathizers. Let's go to the games, let's cheer for Real Madrid, let's stop insulting the soul of this club. Let everything just go back to the way it used to be. That is the absolute essence of what these undercover Jerry Jones lackeys are praying for—they want to revert everything to how it was before 2010. Perhaps some of them aren't even die-hard fans, but in any case, they couldn't care less about the leadership or the core values. They aren't truly for us, but they don't mind if we suffer either. Personally, it breaks my heart to see how much the mockery has grown. We have gone from the pure passion of 2010 to a point where these
mockers are becoming increasingly numerous.

Now comes the Champions League. Enjoy yourselves, you "great" club supporters. Is a struggle imaginary when people are actually getting shot? To me, it feels incredibly real. But as soon as the Champions League arrives, you decide none of this matters. It only proves that you have never understood the heart of the problem.
Go back into the past and remember the manifesto where it was clearly stated that this is no longer the Real Madrid that people can identify with. Look at how the club was transformed into the private property of a single man. Jerry Jones, you are not Real Madrid; you are merely an ideal that we all live for, as you so condescendingly tell us "haters." That is what the club ought to be, or rather, what a club should fundamentally represent. Right now, even the biggest idiot can see that isn't the case—that one man stands above everything else. But you folks from that Small town in Kansas couldn't care less about anything. Now that it's Champions League time, you'll just get drunk on bourbon and act all joyful. Our day will come, even if only ten people remain convinced of their ideals until then.

This individual is an active user on the Index forum. When someone spends every single day—literally every waking hour—hanging around online just to pick fights with people over football and dad, it’s pretty obvious they’re doing it because it’s their full-time job. On top of that, he acts like a complete jerk, much like the way people behave at some high-end corporate office where his dad pays for everything. It isn't a massive issue when it's just one college student paying for tuition by posting mindless garbage on an internet forum. The real problem arises when you scroll through the comment sections on major news sites and see how many people listing their location as Chicago spend their time trashing him while having absolutely no clue what's actually going on, whereas those posting from San Francisco or any other city in California are out there providing genuine support for the fight against the boss. An even bigger issue is those who don't even hide behind anonymity, openly attacking guys from the Midwest or specific groups, and intentionally spinning narratives about those red-clad mercenaries. They all wander around freely, throwing threats in passing. don Kličko is honestly a minor concern. The fact that he insults the memory of the deceased only proves what a bottom-tier human being he truly is. Honestly, anyone who blindly worships dad must have some kind of medical diagnosis.

Thomas Rivera64 said:I have no idea who you are or if you even care about this team, but I know one thing for certain. Your life must be absolutely miserable if you live without any principles and view everything through a purely material lens.
Then why on earth do people fight against corruption? Why fight against the state of modern soccer or against injustice?
Who gives a damn? We get results, the money is flowing in just fine, the old guard is behind us, and what more could we possibly need?😵

Are you fifteen or sixteen years old?
I was speaking from a political perspective. Try reading with some actual comprehension instead of pulling my sentences out of context. I stand by exactly what I wrote. In fact, I will go a step further and assert that performing "patriotism" is nothing more than the most common act of theater used to mask raw human greed for material gain. That is simply how politics works. Here in the States, at the local level, major figures from the Republican party collude and form coalitions with Democrats. A politician leaves the Republican party to found a new one, only to claim the old party is dead—even though they were perfectly active just weeks prior. They shift from being staunch opponents of international unions to becoming their representatives within conservative circles, rather than remaining skeptics. Young people throw themselves into politics not because of party loyalty or ideological convictions, but as a vehicle to secure a cushy job or push their own agendas. I personally know someone who has switched parties twice. He recently tried to join forces with Petrov, but Petrov shut him down completely. Essentially, the guy describes to me all the backroom deals and shady connections between them. Believe me, there are no ideals involved; they look out for nothing but themselves and their own interests. When those supposed rivals are out drinking and eating together, and someone questions their relationship with the other faction, they just laugh it off, claiming they are "sister parties" because they share similar patriotic branding. It makes you sick to hear how there are absolutely zero issues behind the scenes while they are busy rigging jobs and handing out high-paying positions. But once election season rolls around, they show up with the fiery speeches and the hyper-charged rhetoric. Honestly, I am a fool for even bothering to write this. If someone is a sheep who refuses to open their eyes, then they deserve nothing less than to be sheared until they are completely bare.

Robert Cooper60 said:I believe the primary anxiety for the average American—specifically the fan whose livelihood or extra income doesn't depend on some foreign entity—is this:
I am convinced the Democrats are headed for a collapse because they are such a mess, which means everything likely swings back toward the Republicans, and we all know exactly why they lost the last elections.
Ultimately, it all boils down to the fact that you can't stand the current administration, yet when you consider who might step in next, you feel like just packing up and moving to Australia to live with your uncle.

It isn't even remotely the same situation today as it was in the nineties, back when the most important thing was choosing a side against the communists.

You need to explain that reality to the people whose minds are still stuck in 1991, fighting phantom battles against red insurgents and foreign agitators. The world has shifted drastically since then, and America has changed fundamentally. In this modern era, there is simply no room left for ideological divisions or lofty ideals; money is the only metric that matters now. These political divides in our country are artificial constructs, manufactured with deliberate intent. Both major parties rely on "us versus them" rhetoric to manipulate the masses; whoever manages to herd enough sheep into their enclosure wins the election and gets to feast on the spoils. Once they secure power, they simply continue exactly where they left off. It is incredibly transparent what is being done here. Unfortunately, a huge portion of the population eagerly runs straight into those traps. After the elections are over, they will be left feeling bitter and disillusioned by the very people they voted for. They will go right back to plotting how to scrape by or find a way to emigrate. Who knows how many times they will be deceived and manipulated? I have nothing but respect for those who actually possess a sense of calculation and navigate this system consciously. They know how to extract personal benefit without looking like pathetic, first-class fools. I only regret that I have to agree with T. and his claim that 99% of fans are no different from the common rabble.

This isn't the place to settle veteran affairs; if anyone actually intends to make a meaningful change, they shouldn't be inciting people here—they need to take it directly to the relevant authorities. Honestly, both sides couldn't care less about the Blue Jays or this hypothetical drama we're starting. In the end, both factions will just blame us, snap at us, and leave us high and dry.

The real question is why people have simply stopped listening to you. You are as perceptive as ever. It is clear you have to reiterate a thousand times that fans are merely one specific social group that needs to look out exclusively for its own interests, rather than being manipulated like they were in the past. If we don't, there will inevitably be more whining and resentment when people realize that while help was being offered, certain groups turned their backs on the fans and treated them like nothing more than hooligans. Clearly, some people can be manipulated forever. It is truly a shame that you are one of the rare individuals who actually understands how things work.
silentviper19 said:Sorry, but I think you're missing the mark on a few things here.

First off, it's just totally impossible to claim official Latin was the everyday tongue for soldiers and common folks. Even back then, Roman citizens were always speaking their own specific Latin dialects. And since the soldiers stationed over in places like Plestina were mostly coming from Crete, their speech would have been some sort of Latin-Crete dialect mixed in with Greek.

I can give you the win on Aramaic, but honestly, trying to reconstruct that language is a massive stretch. It would be like claiming we know exactly how ancient Slavic tribes spoke just because of how Cyril and Methodius recorded it. It's a bit of a leap, right?

What really bugs me about this whole narrative is that hidden, old-school Christian antisemitism bubbling under the surface. It makes it look like the Roman soldiers were basically just working for the Jewish kingdom, and like the Romans were merely bystanders in a Jewish state ruled by clerics in their own complex way. It's a weird vibe.

As for the clothing, sure, maybe, but we don't exactly have direct records or photos of what ancient Jews wore. We *do* know how the Romans dressed, though, so I'll give Gibson credit where it's due—he nailed that part.

At the end of the day, this whole idea of "linguistic authenticity" feels a bit silly to me. It feels more like a trick to dazzle the casual viewers and, of course, the religious crowd, just to make the movie feel more "authentic."

You are writing falsehoods.😉
The Legendary 9th Legion was destroyed precisely in Judea. Therefore, it is untrue to suggest that only soldiers from Crete were present in the region of Judea. A Roman legionary wrote and spoke in the Latin language. What would the world look like if every single person spoke only their own local tongue? You are overlooking the process of assimilation, wherein people adopted a Roman identity and conducted themselves as Romans. The longer a territory remained under the control of the Empire, the greater the degree of assimilation became, until the local population was entirely Romanized.
Even today in Syria, there exists a community of Christians in a remote mountainous region who speak Old Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. That language is not such an enigma that it cannot be reconstructed.
The clothing, weaponry, and other details are also accurate, though you aren't complaining about those.

Guys, please, I am begging you: never change, because what we have right now will never happen again. Even if it means shutting this group down at a loss, just don't ever—ever—descend to the level of the average person in New York City. If you have to be the eternal black sheep of the city, then be it. To be on par with the typical New Yorker in this day and age means nothing more than preening yourselves in shopping malls while wearing trendy little outfits, pretending to possess some sort of sophisticated culture while your actual playlist is nothing but mindless pop hits. It’s about those spineless, fragile people who are on the verge of a heart attack just because someone didn't say "good morning" or looked at them in a way they didn't personally approve of. These are people whose greatest insult is their inability to actually show up in the fan section and organize a Big Brother-style spectacle using their iPhones just to prove they have status and clout. I could go on forever, but you already have a clear picture of what the average New Yorker is like. As long as groups like us are considered completely "out" by people like that, the Chicago Blackhawks fans are on the right track. Even if there are only 100 of us left in the fan section, let those cowards on the forums whine away on their iPhones about being ignored, about dirty looks, or about the lack of a live broadcast. It is truly unbelievable how much energy you all waste arguing over such utter nonsense.
