I do the same thing, except I don't bother sending notifications. Every once in a while, we'll just leave it for maybe a day—if we know they're online for several hours—and they'll figure it out. We even have a dedicated thread where we talk about everything, so we just post there that stuff was moved from point A to point B, and everyone stays happy.

Maybe some people would just get annoyed getting those kinds of private messages... we all have different personalities, and honestly, you can't please everyone.

Anyway, since a massive amount of time has passed since all this happened, I don't think there's anything left to be done at this point.

The only fix would be for them to put out a notice somewhere stating they won't be giving warnings when moving threads...

Do you have any idea how many threads get dumped here every single day? It’s endless. Someone finds some random PDF online and starts a whole new discussion, and what—are the mods supposed to send a personal memo to every single person on the site? Just wait for the dust to settle after a move and you'll find it. If you missed it getting relocated, don't go blaming the mods.

They're just doing their jobs.
If this was such a massive deal to you, you could've paid for a premium sub to pin it, or just grabbed a link and saved it somewhere else... there are ways to keep track of things if you actually try...

Look, if you take my advice—and I've spent enough time around these things to be considered an expert—if you do end up buying one, make sure someone actually sets it up for you. If you mess up even one tiny thread guide, the whole thing is useless. You have to know how to tension the thread properly... it's a whole thing.

Then there's the bobbin. You have to know exactly how much tension to use when winding it; if it's too loose, forget about it, it needs to be tight... there’s just so much little details to deal with.
I’ve got one machine that lives on my desk and another tucked away in the pantry (haven't even opened that second one, it was left behind by my old bosses)... I know mine inside and out, but still, every single machine behaves differently.

Seriously, you really have to stick to the manual...

As for the machines themselves, you can find plenty of decent, affordable new tabletop models these days. They aren't the massive investment they used to be. Just do your homework and shop around...

Look, it's probably just a coincidence of timing... that pain you felt two days after sex? It's way too early to call that pregnancy. We're talking microscopic cells traveling through your system at that point; it's hard to believe you'd feel that intensely... maybe something else health-wise just happened to line up at the same time.....

Most women don't start feeling anything until about 5 to 7 days before their period starts, but two days after sex? That sounds like a stretch to me. Especially with the level of intensity she described in her previous post.

Anyway, the main thing is that everything turned out okay, and it actually was a positive...

They used to push these savings plans tied directly to the user to act as sort of "loan insurance." They'd dole out amounts based on those savings, and there were government incentives involved... but I won't ramble too much on that since I haven't seen how they run things these days...

You need nerves of steel, a mountain of paperwork, reliable guarantors... even the loan officer has to pull in some massive salary without being buried in debt or mortgages just to qualify. It's a lot.

And when it finally comes down to it, paying back the loan? That takes forever. Just like everywhere else.

Plus, everyone has to be an American citizen with income sourced right here in the States (at least that was the rule), and they look at your age, too. Like, they make sure you don't cross the 65-year mark before the loan is fully paid off. They've overcomplicated everything to the point where hardly anyone qualifies. Finding co-signers was always the biggest nightmare anyway.

Your best bet is to just walk straight into a branch—if you're in a big city like Chicago, go to the one on Main Street, they usually have the most experienced people there...
