You just hit Multi-quote on whatever posts you want to grab—the button changes color to let you know it's set—and then you hit post Reply. That’ll drag you straight into the advanced editor with all those quoted bits already waiting for you in the text box.

Yeah... thanks. Much appreciated.🙂

So I don't have to spam three separate posts just to get a point across.

That’s the question.

And that's my answer. Did I get that right?
Can anyone actually walk me through how to quote, say, two or three different people in a single response? Just one post.

I’m trying to avoid sending out three separate posts when one would do just fine.
You really ought to check just how much electrical capacity you actually have allocated for your house. I mean, honestly, you should probably head down to Exelon or give them a call and ask what your specific power limit is—whatever they call it. I remember when we were getting those electric baseboard heaters installed back in the day, the technician was going on and on about how we needed sufficient amperage to handle the load. I’d never even heard of that before, by the way. You basically have to lease a certain amount of kilowatts or something... look, I'm hardly an electrician, so don't quote me on the technicalities.

But look, we had plenty of juice, and I can run thirteen electric heaters at once along with every other appliance in the house without a single hiccup. In some cases, it all just comes down to whether you have enough capacity to begin with.

If that isn't the issue, then I don't know... maybe there's a weak transformer somewhere on your block? Just go ask Exelon.

No, nothing. It’s just sitting there. Doesn't swell, doesn't move. Just feels like I've got a swallowed piece of steak stuck right in my throat or neck. Constant.

I’ve got something similar going on—this little lump, feels like a marble, right under my jawline on the neck. It’s pretty noticeable, too. Doesn't really hurt unless I go poking at it, which I shouldn't do, I guess. I've had it for years now. I went in for a thyroid ultrasound once and asked them to take a look at it while they were at it.

They told me I needed a fine needle aspiration. Not exactly a terrifying procedure, I suppose—they just use a needle to pull some material out of the lump.
That stuff goes off for cytology. The report comes back in Latin or whatever medical jargon they use, but apparently, it was some kind of benign tumor.

Then they referred me to an ENT specialist to get everything scheduled. But then my sister and I got into this huge blowout over some paperwork. She wouldn't even help me set up the appointment because she insisted a specialist had to review everything first to decide if surgery was actually necessary. So, I just gave up. Now it’s just sitting there.

Still, I guess it makes sense to get those tests done so things don't spread or turn into something much worse. You figure it out as you go, right? Decide how to move forward once you know what you're dealing with.

Good luck.🙂

Alright, let's try this again.

By the way, nothing worked for me.🙂

Is this right now? Or is it still too much for 😂?

Way to go!!!

🙂

great.👍
Something just flew right out of it!!! Honestly, feels like part of me went with it. Now I'm just stuck staring at that "quit" button on the screen.
vividfalcon14 said:The error pops up because you actually have to type something underneath the quote, you know? Like an actual response to whatever was said.

So, for example...

[*QUOTE]What even is this?

It's Reddit.

You end up with:

It's Reddit.

Just without that little asterisk (*)
Basically, you can't just leave those empty quotes sitting there; this whole platform requires you to put text below them.

But I did write something. It still wouldn't work.
vividfalcon14 said:Just grab the sentence you want, hit the icon, and drop it right between the [*QUOTE]

paste that text. You can even tag whoever you're quoting by adding their name after [QUOTE and leaving a bracket. For example, [QUOTE=vividfalcon14] 🙂

[*QUOTE]paste your text here
or with a name, like
[*QUOTE=vividfalcon14]paste text here
P.S.—No asterisk *

I can't even send this thing; keeps giving me some error message. I tried testing my own text just to see if I could get it to work, but... honestly? I'll just wait until someone actually shows me how to do it properly. This whole thing is Greek to me. The real headache is that you can't see what the post is actually going to look like while you're trying to preview it. So, how am I supposed to know what needs fixing?

Thanks for the help, though. Maybe one day I'll finally get the hang of it.
Honestly, I just don't get it. Technology is such a headache.

Someone already tried explaining it to me, but it doesn't stick unless I actually see it—like, I need someone to walk me through every single movement, every little button I have to press.

I can handle quoting stuff and deleting what I don't need (I finally learned that part!!!), but breaking a sentence down line by line? Good grief, I have no clue where to even start.

Do I actually need to copy the sentences?

Is there anyone out there with enough patience to write this out for me in excruciating detail?🙏 🙏 I guess... not everyone is built for this kind of thing.

I mean, just tell me: click this, now click that, hit space, right-click, left-click... god, this is going to be the death of me.

I know it isn't rocket science, I really do, I just don't know how to kick things off.

And figuring out how to do a 3-in-1 post? That's basically sorcery to me.

That's how you do it. Individuality is actually a good thing. 🙂

You missed the mark!

You forgot to throw in some of that signature flair of yours. Now it’s just boring.

Look, if you want to tell people that kind of nonsense, go right ahead. Nobody’s going to believe a word you say anyway. It’s like buying clothes that don't even fit—if the damn things are too small, they're just useless, right?

I'm asking the mods to just kill this thread already. There’s really no point in dragging this out any further.

Look, adapt to us instead of expecting us all to cater to you. Honestly, reading this stuff is a chore, and frankly, most people probably skip right over it anyway. So, what's the actual point of even posting like this?

Sure, your style belongs to you, but everyone else here writes clearly enough, almost like they're actually trying to be coherent. What do you think would happen if every single person on here wrote in nothing but their local slang? That would be "their style" too, wouldn't it? But even then, people usually adjust to the crowd.

Tyler Price said:@rustycrane5/">@@rustycrane5, seriously, stop using "sh" and "ch" instead of actual letters. It’s driving everyone crazy.

I was literally just thinking the same thing. Reading posts like that is just painful. I mean, nobody writes like that on their iPhone, right? We have standard keyboards with all the proper characters available—if everyone else can manage to use them, why can't a few of you stuck in the stone age?

Honestly, I don't even bother reading stuff like that. It just gets on my nerves, so I just scroll right past.

Just go hit up the local unemployment office. They’re actually supposed to know what they're doing, right? At least they might point you in a direction that isn't a total dead end.

I just sit there with my scissors, snipping away at those split ends. I keep a little black cloth handy to catch everything before tossing it all in the trash. Honestly? It’s basically my version of meditation.
