Jason Chavez32, please be careful. Would you really want to mess with my Pixies? 🙂

Are you joking around or what? 😁

Is there anything more captivating than indie rock? It truly captures the spirit of the American underground. 😉

pule :) said:Oh man, is that the new stuff from Starbucks? I see the posters everywhere on my commute home. That apple cinnamon flavor sounds amazing, though I haven't tried it yet. Have you had any of the others?

I actually dreamed about those donuts last night even though I've never even seen them 🤣

What is this forum doing to people? 😢
This wouldn't be any less useful than those other trending topics 🤮

I completely agree with the first four. However, instead of number five, wouldn't Which song is stuck in your head today? be better? 🤮
Sandra King86 🙂

We haven't heard any brilliant plans yet, have we? 🙂

I could really use a good laugh right about now. 😢
I would kindly ask everyone to please refrain from ruining such a wonderful thread. Thank you. 🙂

After all, we still haven't heard about the brilliant skin plan from Carmel 🙏

The only thing I don't get, Sandra King86, is why you didn't just take the bait and walk away while you still had your dignity intact. 🙂

I know there isn't any, but still... this is my first time having a civil disagreement with someone, and I don't plan on backing down just yet.😬
Sandra King86 said:I certainly have thoughts on those matters.
The timing and location just aren't right. 😉

Fair enough. 😉

There is no point in continuing this discussion until you answer these two questions:

1. What would your actual course of action be? (And please, let's be serious—I am looking for a brilliant plan that involves some clever maneuvering 😁)
2. Why does this concern you so much? 🙂
The rest of us are waiting too 🙂 😁

Aside from that question you haven't answered yet (what steps would you actually take), I'm curious: since you live here in the States, why does this bother you so much?

Personally, I'd be more concerned about unemployment rates, corruption, or the cost of living... It must be easy for you if music is your biggest worry😉

Don't be such a killjoy.
In a fight like this, we can't rule out any effective tactics.

Does the end justify the means? Is the enemy always watching? 😲

What is going on here... is this an all-out war against the populists? It's acting like there's an attack on the government itself.🤮

Preuvelicavas is overstating how much these small groups matter.☕

(The folks at Cast Vinkovcan 👍 are actually pretty cool)

My plans for Indianapolis this Friday are ruined.😢
Sandra King86 said:I have no clue where this massive wave of criticism against country music is coming from. Perhaps some amateur psychologist will step in soon to explain it all to us? 😬

Wait, you started this thread and now you're acting surprised? Or was that sarcasm? I can't tell—I'm pretty exhausted. 😁

To be honest, that music doesn't really do anything for me. I don't exactly despise it, though—it’s just no different from any other genre I'm not into.
Sandra King86 said:What bothers me about TF is how fans of that kind of perversion feel the need to act like missionaries for such torture.
I haven't experienced being harassed by a heavy metal fan in a taxi like that. Nor have I dealt with any classical music enthusiasts acting that way.
I was just sitting downtown in Indianapolis, right across from the cathedral with my breakfast and coffee. Was I being blasted by King Diamond or Slayer?

Once again, I haven't met anyone with such a missionary drive.

Unlike those who tried to pull it off with reggae or jazz, isn't it? 🤮

Why didn't you hear Slayer playing in the middle of the city square? It's because metal is a subculture. It isn't exactly mainstream music. This means there is a much lower chance of bumping into someone blasting it. On the other hand, country music is what everyone is listening to right now. Because it's so popular, the odds of hearing it everywhere are much higher.

Besides that, you don't see many alternative options in smaller towns. I think there was a column about this topic written by Ante Tomić. 🤔

Sandra King86 said:I'm just waiting for things to settle down before I drop my incredibly radical plan to finally end mainstream pop. It involves the punk scene, too.
Stay tuned. 😬

Go ahead, I am genuinely curious.
🙏 😁
Sandra King86 said:Exactly. The real issue is when you lack conviction. That’s how you end up stuck on the sidelines.
The hard part is finding your footing; everything else follows easily. 😎

I certainly have my convictions. For instance, I can't stand country music. I won't listen to it at home, and I won't listen to it out in public.

However, I don't feel the need to police what other people listen to. As long as they aren't bothering me, they can enjoy themselves however they please.

By that same logic, I wouldn't want some heavy metal fans pestering me about Iron Maiden, either.

Why bother picking a fight with country fans? There are plenty of other bad genres and foolish people out there to worry about. ☕
