Maybe just shoot it over to her again if it's been a while—I mean, maybe the DM didn't go through or something, so no biggie, but let's just try not to blow up her inbox all at once, okay?🙂

I already sent it, but I'll try one more time.

I’ve been waiting for a change for quite some time now... ah... they say good things come to those who wait, but the wait feels endless...

Can we change the username for vividhawk87?

Sure thing.
Look, you’re free to drop the "vividhawk87" tag if you want. Just pick one version and let Nice know.
Ladies... about sleep. If you’re exhausted, just sleep!!! Don't force yourself to stay awake right now, but the second you start nodding off, get into bed for at least ten minutes!

No, seriously, are you actually going to hold a grudge against me for telling you this?

Newborns have absolutely zero rhythm at first; they couldn't tell day from night if their lives depended on it. You know perfectly well that daytime is for eating, diaper changes, and all that chaos, while nighttime is for sleeping. But honestly, when you first have a baby, you can basically build a little mental fortress and lock the door, because things are definitely not going to work that way anymore! (I'm actually kicking myself for being on Facebook messaging people since 7 AM instead of sleeping until 3 PM! And I regret doing the dishes and hanging up laundry instead of just resting!!! Now, my husband voluntarily watches the baby so I can nap for an hour if we had one of those nights where I didn't sleep a single wink—and I mean literally zero! But the moment the baby lets out even a slightly heavy sigh in his arms in the next room, I'm wide awake. I've developed these superhuman sensors; someone could probably blow a whistle right next to my ear and I wouldn't wake up, but the baby? I hear everything.)

So, bottom line: sleep 👍

And yeah, the unsolicited advice about the baby never stops!!!! It truly never ends!!! (At that point, they stop commenting on your belly size and move on to the baby's size or, of course, how much milk you have—which usually results in them telling you that you aren't producing enough!!! And whatever you do regarding your supply... they'll find something to criticize about that, too...)
Postpartum headaches: What's normal and what's not? in Women's Health ·
I had a natural birth, though they did have me on an IV drip and attempted to administer an epidural (which didn't end up working out), followed by some postpartum pain management.
Postpartum headaches: What's normal and what's not? in Women's Health ·
Bringing this topic back up for a moment...
So, it’s been a week now, and I’ve been dealing with a killer headache for the last three days straight.
Since I wear glasses, I was wondering if this could be related to eye pressure? The pain is localized right behind my eyes, mostly on the left side. Two days ago, something really scary happened while I was changing the baby—my left eye just went blurry, and I couldn't see a thing. For about five minutes, I was practically screaming at my husband to turn the lights on and check my eye; it was late at night, and I felt like my eye was actually drifting out of place. He took a look, though, and said everything looked normal. My vision started clearing up once I tried focusing on something close by, and then, just as suddenly as it started, it stopped. Has anyone else ever gone through something like this?
It hasn't happened again, but the headache is still lingering, sometimes getting so intense that I can't even sleep. Should I just stick to Tylenol?
I make sure to get my stretching in every single day, and honestly, I still feel incredibly limber!!! My routine starts the moment I wake up; I stretch as much as my body will allow, and then when it comes time to actually get out of bed, I take a moment to sit on the edge first just to catch my breath from the effort of rising. After that, I throw on some lounge pants—which, let’s face it, are becoming my entire wardrobe—and wander over to my computer. I’ll sit there for a few hours at a time; my ergonomic chair is so good that I can settle into just about any position. Every now and then, I'll take a quick stroll to the restroom. Around 9:30 AM, my sweet little pup wakes up, so I pull on some sweats and a T-shirt, and we take a lap around the apartment complex so she can do her business. Then it's back to the computer until my husband gets home from work. Once he walks through the door, we treat ourselves to something delicious and greasy, and then I usually nap for an hour or two. By evening, I just migrate over to the couch in front of the TV. See? My entire day is basically one big workout!!! You have to be able to transition from the bed to the desk to the sofa smoothly!

And don't even get me started on the nightly ritual of tossing and turning from side to side in bed—it's a true art form. I move with all the grace of an elephant stuck in a patch of fresh asphalt... and believe me, that is the LEAST of my struggles during this pregnancy!!!

Up until about two weeks ago, I was getting so incredibly irritated by people constantly badgering me with questions: "Have you finished your thesis yet? How's it coming along? When are you finally graduating?"
The stress of it all actually made me stop writing altogether!!! I'll get back to it when the inspiration hits!
Now, what really bugs me is how everyone keeps asking, "How much longer?" It's relentless. And then they have the nerve to call me rude just because I choose not to answer their questions and instead just stay silent and ignore them.
I honestly worry that in twenty years, our daughters will be getting through pregnancy relying on nothing but crackers, tea, and vitamin supplements... it actually scares me a little bit.
Are you seriously riding a scooter? A SCOOTER?!?
Oh, great. Just what I needed—trekking all the way across town on foot just to pay some bills.

And yeah, sure... I’ve been living off nothing but chocolate the last few days because honestly, it works for me, it works for the baby, and it works for the scale (which isn't budging an inch). Besides, I have to eat through all this birthday loot I got, because once the baby arrives, there's no more treats—we're hitting the gym! Meanwhile, my husband keeps telling me I shouldn't be eating anything at all!!!! And by the way, who finished those three Reese's Cups today? I see the wrappers in the trash.

It’s also starting to get on my nerves how he checks in on me every single time I let out a heavy sigh while bending over to pick something up or just shifting positions. "Are you okay?" he asks. Look, if I wasn't okay, I'd tell him!
And honestly, it just bugs me when people act like being pregnant is some kind of illness!
analognomad59, I honestly think you’re overreacting just a little bit here. 😁

Look, some of us didn't follow any of those strict rules to a T. We ate whatever we wanted and drank whatever we felt like, and we didn't run into any issues at all.
If you try to keep yourself or your baby under a literal glass bell jar, neither of you is going to develop any actual immunity!!
Besides, these food products are vetted so many times nowadays that there really isn't a health risk involved. I find it hard to believe that any major corporation would ever allow spoiled food to hit their shelves—they wouldn't risk their entire reputation like that!

And yeah, if I can be a bit sarcastic, why don't you just wear a mask whenever you go outside? People out there are consuming the very ingredients you're avoiding and then breathing them in, so you might accidentally pick something up...

I mean... this is just getting to be way too much.

At this rate, it makes it seem like PREGNANCY IS SOME KIND OF DISEASE!!!

(Just as a side note, during my last pregnancy, I cut out cappuccino because people claimed it caused miscarriages, yet the pregnancy still didn't work out. This time around, I've been drinking it whenever I feel like it—along with alcohol, Coke, and energy drinks—and look at me... I can barely walk, and I'm due in about 10 days.)
Edward Rodriguez4 said:I'm dealing with constant drooling myself... honestly, once I start overthinking things, it feels like everything is just leaking out of me! Like, colostrum from my nipples, then if I sneeze even a little bit I lose control of my bladder, and at night I'm just drooling all over my mouth... 🙈

😂 Yeah, seriously, we’re basically like leaky buckets... and then when everything seems fine and we aren't drooling or leaking urine, it's just constant discharge.................... 🙄
Yeah, on top of all the sleep issues and having to get up half the night to use the bathroom, there’s also the sweating!!! Honestly, I have no idea what's going on, but my pillow is constantly soaked!
I just posted a little update on Facebook: 38 weeks!

And immediately, two of my friends hit me up asking how much longer I have left... It’s not like they don't realize how long pregnancy actually lasts—one of them has a toddler who's already a year old, and the other gave birth just three months ago!!! So, I just politely ignored them...
oooh, honestly, I don't see why you're letting it get to you. You waited your turn, you have the priority, and all those old ladies can do is grumble because they don't have any other options. And frankly, who cares what they think? 😁
I personally have zero patience for people like that; it’s as if they’ve never actually been through pregnancy themselves. If they start making a scene at you, just give them one of these excuses: either tell them you're pregnant, or say you're rushing off to work—and make sure to mention a grueling job like unloading sugar shipments at a warehouse, since they won't let you take more than a thirty-minute break anyway.
fadedscout2 said:I was absolutely losing my mind yesterday when I had to swing by the IRS just to get a stamp—because apparently, I still need those, because our system is just working so incredibly smoothly, right? 🙄 And this lady looks at me and goes, "Oh, I see it's been six months since your last check-in... I'll have to schedule an appointment for you," and then she actually gives me a date of November 2nd—which is literally only a week before my due date!!!!—just so I can come in for an individual consultation to revise my business plan!! 😕😕 wtf?!?!? 😠😠
🙂🙂🙂🙂

Wait, I'm heading to the unemployment office now 😁
Just don't show up and call it a day. Call them that morning or even the day before and tell them you can't make it because you're having contractions... who's actually going to stop you? :P
Question: Are you still holding it together?

Not exactly—I think I'm actually falling apart at the seams...

Nothing beats sex right now near the end, though my OB-GYN gave me the green light...

Even though I should be full of energy, I feel like I'm carrying a bag of rocks. Like that wolf from Little Red Riding Hood who Luke stuffed his belly full of stones...

Underwear is a nightmare. Sweatpants are either too tight or sliding off.🤣

Can never have enough underwear... thanks to this constant discharge.🙂

I crash early like a chicken, then wake up a dozen times a night because my bladder won't stop pressing on me. It's maddening.

Every single night, just waking up over and over waiting for morning...

So, yeah. That's the "glamour" of being pregnant.☕

Oh, please... and my back kills me every single time I have to get up for the bathroom at night...
And it surprised me how much I've started "opening up" lately... I don't know why... and my doctor didn't mention anything about sex, even though it’s not quite what it used to be for me. Sometimes I feel bloated, or in every other position there's some kind of pain, tightness, or stinging...
twisted, I didn't really start feeling it until I was about 27 or so... It’s much more intense now when I have a pillow propped up in front of me, and those kicks just hit harder. Now that I'm 31, we don't even need to lay a hand on my stomach to feel them; we can just watch parts of my belly jump. Besides, our little one is a bit calmer 🙂

What really annoyed me was being told in a direct message that you only get one single medical record booklet throughout the entire pregnancy... and now I can't even get a second one with the updated insurance coupons!
I used to go barefoot all summer long, too.🙂
But now... having to wear socks??? Good grief, it feels like some endless, exhausting Sisyphus task!
