When I was taking Yasmin, everything stayed perfectly on schedule! My cycle came exactly every 28 days, 😠 and it wasn't heavy or painful at all. I'm honestly thinking about starting them up again 🤔

Seriously, using oral contraceptives often drains your B vitamins, which is probably why you're feeling all those symptoms you mentioned. It makes total sense.
The pill can totally wreck your levels of certain vitamins and minerals. That’s why I always tell women taking them that they really need to be looking at B2, B6, B9, B12, plus Vitamin C, E, magnesium, zinc, chromium, and selenium.
That's actually pretty interesting! I had no idea about that... 😘
First time I'm hearing that you actually need to treat a blister. Usually, they just clear up on their own, though I always end up popping mine because I just can't help myself 😬
I'm ten days late! It’s never been this late before, and honestly, what's making it worse is that I don't even feel like my period is coming—usually, my PMS hits me like a freight train right before it starts, but this time, nothing. There's no way I could be pregnant because we use condoms every single time, and as far as I know, they haven't failed us once. So, what else could it be? I'm starting to worry it might be some kind of cyst.😲

Honestly, surgery didn't really do much for me, but now that I'm seeing my specialist regularly, I'm walking around totally happy and pain-free 😍
Right, because that’s exactly what I do, along with plenty of other people who gave me the same advice. Oops, I bet Casey Cook10 is about to jump in here and tell me my post is "dangerous advice"... 😂

Which, I guess, just seems even more wrong after thinking about it twice. I was wondering if the mods could maybe step in regarding posts like this since they seem kind of dangerous for people's health
Look, listen, no matter how "stupid" you think I sound, I am literally describing my own life here. I've had an ingrown nail for two years straight. I've been to surgeons, podiatrists, herbalists—you name it. I have tried every single cream and soak under the sun. Since when did sharing a personal experience to help someone else dealing with the exact same thing become "dangerous to health"? Get a grip, kid.
I’ve noticed these tiny little white spots on my upper lip, right in both corners, too. They aren't really visible unless I pull my lip taut or if I’m looking really closely in the mirror. Honestly, though, I don't think it's anything serious, so I'm not losing any sleep over it 😎

I've tried those myself, and they kick in almost instantly! Whatever you do, do NOT plan on leaving the house for a while 😬 They only cost about a couple of bucks, 🙏 and honestly, those glycerin suppositories you can get at the pharmacy work just as well...😍

Honestly, a little bit of activated charcoal should clear you right out—just make sure you take it on an empty stomach and drink it lukewarm. Good luck!
Trust me, I've been there. I knocked back two liters of Donat and some unsweetened tea over two days before my colonoscopy, and let's just say I was glued to the bathroom floor...🤣

Basically, nail techs live off stuff like this, and if you’re relying on someone else to fix it, your money just disappears. That's the deal with podiatrists.
Man, I went through a total nightmare with this, something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. All because I was being stubborn. About ten years ago back when I was in the Army, I got a nasty ingrown nail. It was constantly inflamed, bleeding whenever I bumped it, just swollen and oozing pus.
Eventually, I just gave up and went to see a surgeon. The guy spent maybe twenty minutes doing a partial nail resection on both sides. He cleaned out the tissue on both sides, cut out the nail, and destroyed the excess nail matrix—you know, the root where the nail actually grows from. Was it painful? Honestly, it didn't hurt any more than having a throbbing, infected big toe already.
Recovery took about a week of not wearing shoes at all, plus 2 or 3 follow-ups and some bandaging during that first week. Then another week in wide shoes, like some loose clogs, and I was good to go.
If this ever happens to my other foot, I'm heading straight to a surgeon. No way am I going to a nail salon, trying home remedies, using crystals, or whatever other "natural techniques" people swear by. None of that works if something is physically growing where it shouldn't. You have to get rid of that "somewhere" entirely. Period.
And one more thing. I used to try to perform "surgery" on myself, you know, digging out the ingrown part with scissors and stuff. God, what kind of masochism is that? I bet it isn't any better with a nail tech either. I watched the actual procedure, and when I saw the chunk of nail the doctor pulled out (like 5 x 15mm on each side), I realized that even if me and four nail techs worked together for the next 50 years, we still wouldn't have gotten it all out.
Just my advice: go to your primary care doctor and get a referral to a 🤣 surgeon.
Look, a surgeon might just rip the whole nail out, which doesn't guarantee anything will actually improve. Just because you were one lucky person in a hundred doesn't mean it works for everyone else. Besides, a podiatrist makes this their actual profession; they specialize exclusively in nails and feet, so you can't even compare them to those amateurish home remedies. And it doesn't even hurt—you soak your foot in warm water first, and then they use specialized tools we don't have at home to pull that ingrown corner out completely painlessly and without bleeding. The reason your surgeon had to take such a huge chunk is simply because you waited too long.
Amy Brooks8 said:My toe is looking straight-up purple right now. So, I called up a local nail tech today to explain the situation—you know, the whole "it’s throbbing and inflamed" thing—and she just goes, "Hey, just come on in, we fix stuff like this all the time." Well, I guess I have nothing to lose, so we'll see how it goes.
I'm already doing that, but thanks anyway.👍
Personally, I’d follow that up by rubbing some antibiotic ointment on the meat, something like Bivacin or Betrion. That's what worked for me... 🙏
Oh, one more thing—when I’m dealing with wild game, I’ve found that soaking it in saltwater really does the trick, or better yet, just using the ocean itself. Luckily, summer is right around the corner, so if you find yourself out on the coast, just spend all day wading in the surf 😘
I once had a massive pile of raw meat—basically, my whole toe was filled with pus and turning bruised purple😲 so I had to have the entire nail ripped out. When the same issue flared up again a year later, I went to see a surgeon and asked if he could just permanently destroy that specific part of the root where it grows in crookedly. He told me there was no way to do that 😕 and that the whole thing had to come out. I argued with him, saying I’d already gone through the full extraction and it didn't even fix the problem, so we eventually agreed on a partial nail avulsion—just taking out the half that was digging in. It's finally grown back, and I've been seeing a podiatrist, so everything seems fine for now. Just keep in mind, though, a podiatrist isn't going to touch your foot if the inflammation is too severe.
I tried plucking it three different times, and every single time it just grew right back 😲 but I finally got it sorted out today—my nail tech gave it a quick, painless tweak, so I should be good until the next time it decides to show up. Honestly, it’s such a nasty little thing 😱
Ethan Kim8 said:I have a bit of a problem. Yesterday, I noticed a small bump on my butt. It’s about the size of a peanut and has this bluish tint to it. It itches, but it doesn't sting or bleed. I've read everything you all posted regarding hemorrhoids, but I also saw somewhere that it could be a polyp, right?
Well, here is my question: I picked up some Factu cream, and I'm wondering if using it might actually make things worse if I haven't seen a doctor yet.
I had that exact same bump once—it was blueish and super itchy too! I was honestly terrified.😲 Factu cream isn't going to make it worse; it's just there to help.😬
