Good grief, how many nail threads does this forum need to have?😁
Some people swear by Trident, but honestly, I haven’t seen much of a difference myself. Just think about how much you're going to blow through on those products...$27😉
What hospital are you even talking about? What’s the big deal? 😕 I dealt with both strep and ureaplasma at the exact same time once, and I cleared them right up. Don't sweat it too much...👍
I’ve been dealing with those exact same issues myself 😢
That being said, my doctor told me that Ureaplasma is generally considered negative if the levels are under 4; anything above that threshold requires treatment. I hit exactly 4, so I went ahead and finished a course of Doxycycline, and it cleared up for now. But honestly, who knows when it might show back up 😢 because this thing has a nasty habit of just lying dormant 😲...
Thomas Ward2 said:Hey everyone. I'm a woman, so maybe I don't totally fit in here, but I was wondering—would you guys be offended if a girl asked to get tested for STDs before things get physical? I'm asking because HPV seems to be popping up everywhere lately, and you don't even have to be super promiscuous to catch it; you can literally just be with one partner and still deal with it. So, I'm just curious if it would hurt your ego if a girlfriend requested some testing first.
Look, you don't need to be playing the field to contract HIV either; having just one partner is enough to pass that along, too.😬
redhawk76 said:For my part, Orly didn't quite do the trick... it certainly helped with the aesthetics, making my nails look much better, but the peeling issue remains entirely unresolved. And that's after I went through two full bottles—since you have to apply it every single day during that initial phase.
I had the exact same experience with Orly. It helped them grow out looking decent, but they were still bending and flexing constantly. They never actually hardened up...👎
Steven Rivera7 said:Girl, listen to me—just grab some Trent for your nails. They'll look absolutely flawless, and I promise it won't make you gain an ounce!!!!
Wait, shouldn't it be Orly? What are you talking about with Trent?😬
Patrick Anderson3 said:So, you just poured a little olive oil into a cup and soaked your nails once a day? 😬 I might give that a shot; I'm getting desperate here. 😢
There's an entire thread dedicated to nails over in the Cosmetics sub-forum if you want to look. Olive oil and lemon juice come up everywhere,👍 and honestly, my nails are super strong thanks to that routine.
briskgull27 said:Haha, okay, so on paper I'm employed, but I haven't actually worked a job in a year. I mean, I stay busy with housework and helping my husband out, but technically I don't have an official job—though you wouldn't find that listed in my employment records. edit: signing documents and stamping papers doesn't exactly count as a career, does it?
briskgull27 said:I am actually quite busy myself; I even run my own business. But if I try to work, I just end up falling asleep on the job—you can see why under my post about schizophrenia.😍 😍 😁 😁 😁
Then why did you say in your opening post that you didn't have a job?😕
briskgull27 said:Goodness, I've been hanging around here since Christmas 2006, and I've already racked up over 4,000 posts. What do you all get up to when you aren't busy working? I'm currently between jobs, and while I find it a bit tough to get out much lately, I do try to make an effort to head outdoors now and then. Honestly, though, I feel like I'm losing interest in almost everything...
Susan Roberts said:Thanks for the advice. That’s actually exactly what my doctor prescribed—Rivanol and some vaginal suppositories. He mentioned they are "fissures," basically just cracks in the skin. If anyone else has dealt with this, please let me know what causes it. My doctor was honestly kind of a jerk about it, too; he basically implied I caused it myself by... well, he used his own medical jargon to suggest I was being too rough with myself. 🙂 🙂 I'm definitely not going back to him. Anyway, if you've ever heard of fissures or gone through something similar... express yourself. Thanks.
I've dealt with those cracks before, and let me tell you, it is miserable. I couldn't even sit down comfortably or cross my legs without pain. 👎 I used Bepanthen ointment; it helps because I get similar cracks on my lips sometimes, and that stuff works wonders for them. Also, try taking some iron supplements. My doctor told me that skin cracking can happen when you're low on iron.
I’d honestly love to pick up that Merz, but there’s a catch. It’ll end up strengthening my toenails too, which is the last thing I need right now. I’ve got one ingrown nail that’s giving me nothing but trouble, so I actually have to keep using a specific polish that softens the nail and weakens it just to manage the pain...
