Thanks, you half-expert! haha

They actually already got back to me 🙂
What's the easiest way to get my mom scheduled for an urography? Ideally, I'd love to get her in at the Holy Spirit hospital. Thanks! 🙂
Cracked heels: any recommendations? in Health ·
I think some calendula cream might do the trick (you can find some at Walgreens, and it won't break the bank).
Regarding what you mentioned about constantly picking at it—I honestly think that might be the root of the problem. I went through a phase where I did the exact same thing, and I ended up scrubbing my skin raw.

Try to pick at it less and focus more on moisturizing with creams. And honestly, just because a cream has a high price tag doesn't mean it's going to work any better.😉
Swallowed gum? Now what? in Health ·
I’ve carried a grudge against my aunt since I was about five or six years old. She actually used to mock me, telling me I was going to die just because I swallowed a piece of hard candy. To make matters worse, her daughter—my own cousin—was just as bad, clearly getting some twisted joy out of watching me suffer.
I survived, as you can see, but I don't think I'll ever truly forgive them.

Peter Morgan3 said:Hmm, how exactly am I supposed to fit a size 14 wide with fourteen holes into my freezer... 🤷

Maybe ask Walgreens to toss them in their walk-in cooler for you.🤷
Or a morgue?

he: Stretching them out like that isn't doing you any favors; the shoes lose their shape and they won't be worth anything afterward.

I’m not quite sure about the answer myself, but I’m dying to know where you’re working! Do you have to sign up ahead of time, or was it more of a walk-in situation? How did you get on the list? Honestly, I need to get myself signed up too.
HELP!!! Anyone know what to do? in Health ·
My mom told me Joe Biden had surgery done on his son just like he was an infant, and apparently, the doctor said they might have to do it all over again.😲

Harold Booth68 said:Regarding hair, I notice you don't eat meat, so I'm guessing you might not be getting enough protein. Since protein breaks down into the amino acids necessary for growth (among other things), that could be the issue.

Honestly, that doesn't make any sense.
If that were true, I’d be totally bald myself since I don't eat meat, while my friend—who eats just about everything—has a thick mane.
It really works the opposite way.😬

Hair loss and thinning can be triggered by all sorts of hormones, not just thyroid issues, so it might be worth seeing an endocrinologist. It's hard to find a solution without running some actual tests.
An EEG result is almost never perfect, and some people are just naturally prone to fainting. Of course, you should make sure to eat breakfast, and generally try to make up for what you aren't getting from meat by eating other high-quality foods.

Stress plays a huge role in hair loss too.

Staying active is great for both your body and your mind.👍

I think you might be worrying a little too much.😉

(I used to be the exact same way when I was younger, constantly counting every single strand that fell out)😂).
Quick question (don't judge me) in Health ·
To doesn't feel like a heart issue to me—it feels more like my nerves are acting up.🤷
Is that sound normal or what? in Health ·
I can hear it.😢

Maybe I’m just wired a little differently, but honestly, who cares?
I was the straight-A student in high school, knocked out my college degree right on schedule, had a healthy baby boy—the whole nine yards.🤷

But I still hear it. It's constantly ringing in my ears.☕

It could also mean that ovulation didn't actually happen.

You should definitely go see a gynecologist now—there's really no reason to wait until the 17th, right?

And did you get worked up before all that happened?🤷

bluemason3 said:"A few months" is such a vague term. If we're talking about losing 20 pounds, I’d say you're looking at at least six months—maybe even longer if you want it to stick." 🤔

Personally, I think aiming for one pound a week is the sweet spot. It’s all about pivoting your diet so you actually lose weight while building entirely new lifestyle habits along the way.👍

Otherwise, that weight is just going to creep right back on.😢
Naked at the doctor's office in Health ·
I once had to go into a Cleveland clinic for a quick little procedure on my cheek (from the outside 😲).
I sat down in the chair, they wrapped me up in some kind of drape, gave me the local anesthesia, and suddenly, I’m surrounded by a bunch of kids in white lab coats. I just sat there in silence.🙄

The surgeon started working, and one little girl leaned right into my face: "Oh my god, that looks sooooo gross!" She was totally losing it. It took forever just to calm her down. 🤣

The whole thing was over before I knew it. I hopped off the chair and caught a bus back home. That was that.☕

And honestly? You can't even tell anything happened.😬
Fainted / Passed out in Health ·
Exactly.

It’s definitely better if I can spot the warning signs before I actually pass out.

In the past, I’ve fainted just like he did. It usually happens when things feel suffocating—like being stuck in a massive crowd or standing for too long—and yeah, panic attacks play a part too.

Over time, I’ve learned how to recognize those triggers so I can avoid them. Now, I make sure to eat breakfast before leaving the house, I steer clear of packed subway cars (I used to wander around like a clueless high schooler!), I try to find a seat whenever possible, practice 😬 self-soothing techniques, and keep up with my iron supplements.

And honestly, after having my baby, I basically "forbade" myself from fainting (because, you know, what with the little one 😍), and for a while, it actually worked.

Then, bam! Out of nowhere, it caught me off guard recently. At home. In my own bathroom.🙂
I was totally unprepared. I mean, the symptoms felt different, and the situation was completely unexpected.🤷
It was a total nightmare.😲

But what can you do? If you're prone to it, it might follow you around your whole life.

Maybe it would help him watch his diet, eat a bit more, focus on iron levels, and stuff like that.
🥳 For my part, I’ve been super anemic my entire life, and frankly, I've always been a bit of a lightweight.
Man, rice chocolates, all those huge varieties of Milka, Hershey's cakes, Housewife treats, Raffaello, dark chocolates, Hershey's chocolate wafers, Snickers, After Eight, Ferrero Rocher, and all that other sweet junk... yum. I’m basically a high-risk addict here:
Something about the smell in Health ·
Honestly, I’ve been dealing with this for years.

I'm pretty sure it's all down to hormones; during my PMS, I turn into a total Doberman.

I can sniff out trouble—and even scents—from dozens or hundreds of yards away.😂
During pregnancy, I wouldn't even talk about it. Plus, there's that food aversion thing, where you don't just hate the meal itself, but the mere thought of it beforehand.
Though, you definitely have some other symptoms to deal with too. 😉
I don’t mean to scare you, but I have had some seriously bad run-ins with these stings.

'I’ve been stung by a wasp three times in my life😲:

The first time was when I was just a kid eating toast and jam (you know how it is, growing up in a working-class neighborhood)🤷 and I got stung right on the tongue😱. Honestly, I didn't feel a thing.

The second time was a few years ago while I was on vacation at the beach. It hit me on my right hip, and three days later, my leg had swollen up to twice its size all the way to my knee.😲 I was stuck dealing with injections and meds for three straight days.

The third time was on my upper arm, just two weeks ago, right in the middle of Times Square☕ (I was carrying a bunch of sunflowers). At first, it just felt like a little sting, and for the rest of the day, nothing happened.
But after 24 hours, my arm started swelling up, itching like crazy, and felt hot to the touch... so, yep... back to the ER again...

There isn't even a scar now, but I’ll run from a wasp like crazy.🤣
Strep throat symptoms and treatment? in Health ·
Carl Ward87 said:Hey everyone. I’ve run into a bit of a dilemma.

So, I recently started seeing this girl—she's 15—and we're planning on officially becoming a couple when we see each other on the first day of school. Here's the thing: she mentioned she had Strep throat, though she said she cleared it about two weeks ago. I did some digging online regarding how contagious this bacteria actually is, but honestly, I found the information to be a bit vague—and frankly, I don't always trust everything I read on those random sites. My main concern is this: should I still go through with seeing her? Is there a realistic chance that I could catch it from her, or are there any potential complications for either of us—even considering her infection was two weeks back? If anyone has more insight into this bacteria, I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Haha. Look, it's not an STD.😂 That’s what you actually need to worry about!

And it definitely isn't mono, either.😲

Just go enjoy yourselves!🙂
Yeah, I have to admit, it’s a little awkward. 😳

A guy once told me he wished he had one of those scanning devices from Star Trek, you know, so he wouldn't have to touch me with his own hands or shove anything 😲cold and metal
inside me. 😂That was pretty much the look I gave him.

Apparently, there's this urban legend that if you cross your arms over your chest during an exam, it somehow makes everything more comfortable. :urbanalegenda:
