shadowtinker21 said:About twenty minutes later... but that little scratch was honestly pathetic, just incredibly weak, you could tell, but still so weak... I don't know if I ever mentioned that I'm a total hypochondriac...😠So I’ve just been sitting here spiraling, convinced that I’m going to end up needing surgery for some minor issue, or God forbid, something actually life-threatening, or... well, you know how it goes... 😢

If you tested only 20 minutes after you thought, honestly, that Clearblue probably didn't give you the full picture. How many days late are you? I feel like 20 minutes just isn't enough time for that hCG hormone to build up enough to show clearly, which is why everyone says to use your first morning pee when the concentration is at its peak. You can technically use an Easy@Home test any time of day, but you really shouldn't be drinking a ton of water right before, or it'll be too diluted.
But hey, usually if you can see a line at all, it's a definite positive...
So, what's the plan? What are you hoping for?
shadowtinker21 said:I’m more confused than I’ve ever been in my life... I took a 1step test this morning and it showed this faint, barely there line😕. So then my boyfriend ran out to grab an Easy Test, and that one didn't show anything at all—just a straight up negative😕😕. Honestly, I think I trust the Easy Test more... I just don't know. My breasts have started aching tonight, too, so maybe my period is just coming... It's enough to drive you crazy...

So, how much time actually passed between that first test and this Intim Plus one? Because honestly... if you saw even a tiny little line on that first one... there's a real chance you might have a little one on the way...😉
Robert Reyes56 said:Hey everyone.
Quick question about pregnancy tests. I'm 8 days late, so I picked up a Clearblue test at CVS yesterday. I took it this morning and saw two lines within 2 minutes, but the instructions say you're supposed to read the result between the 5 and 10-minute mark.
It doesn't say anything about what happens if both lines show up before those 5 minutes; it only says that if a line appears after 10 minutes, the test is invalid and needs to be redone.
So, is this a positive, or am I just wasting my time until I retake it?
Thanks.

You're pregnant, congrats! 😍
They tell you to wait 5 to 10 minutes just because some people expect to see both lines immediately, kind of like how you saw them after only 2 minutes. Those two lines stayed there after the 2 minutes passed, right? If they did... oh man, huge congratulations, I would love to be in your shoes right now...👍
Joseph Murphy6 said:Yeah, I guess so. But it was pretty weak—definitely due to stress, I'd say. No silver linings here.

Joseph Murphy6, well, good luck to you then! I'm totally positive you'll be back here in a month posting about those double lines, and without any of the drama😉
just take it easy, cut down on the stress, and really focus on your health🙂
sending so much luck your way!👍
Joseph Murphy6 said:Nothing... 😢

and honestly, I’m kicking myself for testing right on the day my period was due...

I totally let myself get swept up in the idea of us having a baby. Even though I knew deep down it was way too early and could go south any second—plus, it was basically our first shot at it...
And I've never really been into the whole pregnancy thing. You could even say I wasn't interested at all. But man, this hurts. It's hard to believe. 🤷

Just feeling pretty down.

But whatever...

Next time, I'm waiting until I'm at least 10 days late before I even look at a test. We'll just get serious about it and hopefully, we'll see that plus sign soon enough.

Sorry for the vent...

I'm so sorry, Joseph Murphy6. I know that disappointment all too well, unfortunately.
did your period end up starting?🤷
boohoo, hit me up... you still got those credits 😉
Sweet, so you aren't pregnant then... though if you were, a test would definitely tell you. Honestly, though, maybe it’s best to just head down to the OB-GYN and get everything checked out properly with their equipment just to be safe 😉
Roger Rodriguez said:Ladies, I could really use some advice here...🙂
My period is already 12 days late. Things were pretty regular when I was on birth control, but since I stopped about a year ago, my cycle has been a bit wonky—though it’s never been more than 10 days late before now.
On top of that, I've been dealing with a bladder infection since last Saturday, so I'm currently on antibiotics. Is it possible for that kind of infection to throw my cycle off?
I'm also feeling some sharp pains in my ovaries along with the bladder discomfort, though maybe I'm just overthinking things... Honestly, I wouldn't even be worried if there were a chance of pregnancy, but we always use condoms, and my husband insists on checking them afterward 🤣 to make sure nothing broke. There's almost zero chance anything actually happened.
I'm planning to pick up a test tomorrow, but in the meantime, does anyone have any advice to help me calm my nerves?

I don't think you're pregnant. Honestly, it's probably just because your immune system is trashed right now, plus maybe a little stress or whatever... saying "maybe" though! Have you taken a test yet?
Kyle Long6 said:I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I don't touch any kind of stimulants... as far as my love life goes, I'm a super long-term guy—so I don't think that's really an issue either.
As for my behavior, which is also pretty new to me, I get irritated and blow up really fast, just screaming at people (not over small stuff, but it used to take me way longer to lose it like this)..
And looking back at how I used to act—I never had any issues through middle school or high school—everything was always fine, always straight A's and perfect conduct.

Man, you're probably just stressed out. You've hit a wall with all the studying. Honestly, the brain only has so much capacity before it just hits a limit. Drink a ton of water, try stretching in the morning and evening (a walk or a run is probably best). If you feel sleepy during the day, grab a one-hour nap (don't sleep more than that). Also, set specific times for your PC or TV usage. Treat it like a reward at the end of the day. That way, you’ll know you can jump online or watch a show and actually relax because you finished the big tasks you planned out. Just don't overload your schedule for one day, be realistic about what you can actually handle.
I used to struggle with studying for a long time too, and what worked for me was doing maybe thirty minutes of hardcore, intense focus. Then I'd get up and do some chores, like washing the dishes, putting a load of laundry in, or whatever... then I'd go right back to the books. Oh, and music helped a lot. It depends on what you like. I went through a phase where I listened to Soundgarden (jumping around to it for like 15 mins at a time), and then later Justin Timberlake (dancing to him). Super silly and childish, I know, but clearly that little bit of physical movement helped wake my brain up.👍
So, these are some exercises you can just knock out during the day—some people call them stretching or whatever, not that it really matters... walking on uneven ground (it would be totally ideal if we were all at the beach right now so we could just walk across the rocks), or maybe doing something like balancing on a split, a narrow plank, or something similar... basically anything that actually forces you to put in the work to keep your balance!
So, is there anything external that messes with your head, like alcohol, different kinds of stimulants, various drinks, and stuff like that? Are you in love? Did you struggle with focus when you were a kid? Any issues with behavioral outbursts?
Hit me back with those answers so we can keep moving forward with this... 😉
Maria Torres8 said:Hey ladies, I was just scrolling through... and somehow stumbled upon this group, so since I'm already here, I figured I'd share my little sob story:
So, here's the deal: my husband and I have been talking about this for ages, and we finally pulled the trigger on January 1st. Being the eternal optimist that I am, I was fully expecting to be pregnant by the fall, but clearly, life had other plans. It’s been six months now—nothing. Just a mountain of pregnancy tests and pure disappointment behind us. The thing is, I have PCOS, and I could never touch birth control because my platelet levels were always a mess back in high school. My periods have never been regular, either. My Pap smear came back fine, and my hormone levels seem okay too. My doctor told me that since I can't really pin down my ovulation window, we basically need to have sex every third day. We've tried... nothing. We even went through a phase where we were trying three times a day—which, let's be real, was exhausting—and still, zilch. Now I'm just sitting here wondering: what the hell am I doing wrong? Everyone keeps telling me to just be patient, but honestly, that doesn't help much when you're feeling like this...

Maria Torres8, I don't have PCOS, but my cycles are super long too. And yeah, we've been "struggling" since around New Year's as well. I also thought I'd get pregnant lightning fast, but still nothing 😢 (just had another negative test today). So, welcome to the club of disappointments, sis... join our little "wannabe moms" group. There are girls there who know a ton, maybe you'll pick up some helpful tips 👍 I really hope you won't need them and instead surprise us all with an "I'm pregnant!" update 😍
Man, I totally get that... sometimes it hits me so hard I just can't drift off. Honestly, I've got this feeling it's all tied to the sensory system, specifically the vestibular side of things—you know, balance, that spinning sensation, swaying, all that stuff... In plain English, I find a ton of relief if I just spend the day on a porch swing or do some balance exercises and whatnot... 👍Luckily, my job actually lets me put that into practice every single day—so it's kind of a win-win for me 👍
Is Telfast a corticosteroid? in Health ·
My OBGYN is such a jerk, honestly can't even manage a simple "hello" when you walk in the door🙄 whatever, I guess I'll just go find someone else who actually knows their stuff... or maybe I'll just stop taking these and see what happens😉
Is Telfast a corticosteroid? in Health ·
Ugh, this site just won't load for me... can someone please help a girl out and tell me if it's a corticosteroid? Like, is it actually okay to take Telfast while I'm pregnant or is that a total no-go? And what even are antihistamines anyway?
help, anyone? 😉
Bravo! 🙏🙏🙏
Nowadays, doctors are handing out Dystonia PP diagnoses to kids left and right... mostly just to get ahead of things like Tetraparesis pp, diparesis, or any other kind of paralysis and plegia...
Anyone know what this is? in Health ·
Could be low blood pressure... how old are you anyway?
Dealing with allergic rhinitis? in Health ·
Wait, I think I missed something... let me look back at the thread... yeah, okay... So, I was just thinking about all those different options we were talking about earlier regarding the allergy stuff... you know, like using Claritin versus trying out some Rhinocort when things get really bad... it’s such a headache once the Ragweed starts hitting hard in the fall... honestly, it feels like every year it gets more intense... I remember reading on Reddit a while back that some people swear by Singulair, but then others say they prefer Fexofenadine because it doesn't make them feel like a zombie during work hours... it's a total toss-up, really... and don't even get me started on the nasal sprays... sometimes you just need that extra punch from a Taffen spray to actually breathe... anyway, I'm just rambling now... hope everyone is holding up okay with the pollen counts lately... stay safe out there... kaže:
So, I'm dealing with this constant dust mite allergy and all those other random allergens... basically, my nasal passages are just permanently swollen. Some days it's worse than others, but it always ends up feeling like my nose is partially blocked, which forces me to breathe through my mouth instead of my nose... it sucks. I've tried everything: Nasonex, Taffen, even that Sterimar stuff with manganese and all those different saline rinses... nothing works. Nasalese powder? Total zero. Even Loratadine and other antihistamines don't really cut it since I can't just pop them all year round... Is there anything else left to try? Honestly, the only thing that actually gives me some relief is using Operil sprays, but I know I shouldn't overdo it with those either... help... 🤷

So, I’m dealing with allergic rhinitis and a pretty mild case of allergic asthma myself. Since I was getting hit with allergy attacks like four or five times a day, my pulmonologist originally put me on this whole combo deal—stuff for my nose, throat, and lungs... but lately, I’ve just been sticking to one Fexofenadine tablet every single day. Honestly, it works pretty well for me. My nose runs a little bit here and there, but compared to how bad things used to be, it's nothing... I've been taking it for years now, though. I guess I just wonder how it actually affects you after you've been on it for that long...🤷 Is it just me, or am I... 👍
Jeffrey Peterson43 said:Standard X-rays can be pretty deceiving since they’re just 2D images—you get all these different tissue shadows overlapping on top of each other. That metal shadow you spotted was probably just some dental work or an implant overlapping with the base of your nose in the projection. A CT scan is basically taking those slices and using software to build a 3D model, so it's way more precise and reliable.
The CT isn't showing anything weird or scary. It looks like chronic sinusitis, which is likely just a side effect of allergies or maybe just straight-up allergies... You'll definitely want to follow up with an ENT specialist though.

Woohoo! If that's all it is—that's awesome!🥳I've got a pretty high pain tolerance, so this constant inflammation hasn't been a massive deal for me, but I'm definitely going to book an appointment with an ENT! 🙂
Thanks a million!🙂
Jeffrey Peterson43 said:Okay, so here's the deal. You had a MultiSliceCT scan of your paranasal sinuses.
Basically, that's just a fancy way of saying a multi-slice CT scan. You didn't mention what kind of symptoms you're dealing with or why your doctor sent you in for this in the first place.
The main thing is, the report shows chronic inflammation of the right maxillary sinus. Long story short... take these results to an ENT specialist.
If there's anything else you're wondering about, just ask.

Well, I pretty much already knew that because the pain is constant... though it's actually been a bit better lately, which is awesome. I don't get why they call it chronic though? I caught an infection back in March and have done two X-rays and this CT since then. My primary care doctor told me she's never seen a worse sinus scan in her life! But normally I haven't had huge issues with them (besides the constant runny nose from allergies), it's just started hurting lately.
Honestly, this report sounds great. I was expecting them to write something about cysts (since they saw two on the X-ray) or some weird metal plate at the base of my nose, so I thought maybe I was just special or getting abducted by aliens... haha. 😂
So, there's absolutely nothing mentioned about the metal or the cysts, right?
I know I probably sound silly not being able to read this myself, but yeah... 😵
