Hard to say. I haven't been able to get enough of Avizor for five years straight. I only switched over to Boston because you can't find Avizor anywhere anymore...

Basically, I urgently need to know what solutions you all use for semi-solid lenses.

I've completely burned out on Total Care and Nytolens.

Help me out here.

I used to use Avizor back in the day. I used to pick it up at an Optometrist shop over in downtown Chicago—hardly anyone else carried it. The solutions were great (once I tried some random brand from a pharmacy, it was a disaster), but that shop stopped stocking it. Now I just buy Boston, which is just as good, just pricier. I've tried both single-bottle systems and those 2-in-1 combos. Both work fine, but I lean toward the 2-in-1 since it's easier to toss in a bag when traveling...
Avizor 👍
Boston👍

Pur?!?!?😱

Then why didn't they use them on me when I had my surgery? They gave them to some other girl who was on birth control...
Now I'm just terrified of going back under the knife...🙂

Sure, but that’s what the pre-donation screening is for. Honestly, blood samples taken during a period should be perfectly fine... though I suppose it isn't exactly ideal for a woman to lose that much blood all in one day...

And what exactly is wrong with my blood while I'm bleeding?😢

I can't believe this! 🙂
Are gay men considered a higher risk group than lesbian women?🤔

rapidwalker7 said:In my opinion, the more logical question would be whether you had risky sexual encounters during that timeframe... rather than asking if you had sex with someone of the same gender... people might actually be honest if they didn't have to out themselves as gay just to answer...

I completely agree.

I know from my own experience—I had a broken nose from a car wreck once, so I had to deal with those nasal tampons after surgery—and I also know from talking to a few people who went through the exact same procedure

From my own experience, I can tell you it didn't hurt me. Sure, it's uncomfortable when you're pulling that stuff out of your nose, but the pain wasn't there for me...
Dealing with lactose intolerance? in Health ·
Kyle Nguyen16 said:Speaking from experience here. My son was constantly dealing with allergies—bronchitis, nebulizers, the whole bit. I was drowning in it. Since his allergy tests came back negative for everything, I decided to start cutting out potential triggers myself. We stopped giving him chocolate milk, which was basically his only dairy intake, and suddenly, peace. He hasn't had a single cough in two years since we cut out the milk. I’m convinced that was the culprit. Neither I nor my mother can stand dairy, so he likely just inherited our sensitivity.

How long did it take before those bronchitis issues finally cleared up? I'm thinking about dropping milk and all dairy products for a while to see how my lungs react...
do you still eat yogurt or fresh cheese...?

Could you expand on that? I’ve read what some animal rights activists have to say about it, but they just mention the link between milk and allergies without actually providing any real arguments...😕

placidowl6 said:Maybe three liters of milk is pushing it...

I read somewhere that athletes need anywhere from 1 to 2.7 grams of calcium daily.

If I were drinking three liters of milk a day, the math suggests I'd be hitting 3.6 grams (at 1.2g per liter). That’s about a gram over the limit, especially since I eat five eggs every morning, and yolks are loaded with calcium too.

I'm worried this kind of calcium overload might lead to kidney stones. What do you all think?

I'm not entirely convinced that kidney stones are caused by excessive calcium intake...

You definitely sold me on that point about people starving in Africa. But we aren't starving, and we aren't in Africa. In fact, about 50% of Americans are overweight. So by your logic, they should probably be sticking to low-calorie milk.

low-fat milk is healthier than whole milk☕

2. They’re soft lenses, so it shouldn't matter if I take a break before my appointment...

I’ve always worn my contacts during exams, even after five years of using them. I use semi-hard lenses and go to the Mayo Clinic for my checkups. When I go in for an eye exam, I just make sure I'm not wearing the contacts then...
Birth control pills: Questions for the pros in Women's Health ·
Birth control shouldn't be inherently harmful. I used Blueberry myself—both for contraception and as a specific treatment—and they worked fine for me, even with the higher hormone levels. There are other options out there with lower doses that might have milder side effects, if you even experience any. I can't speak to the specific ones you're looking at, but you really should just read the fine print regarding side effects... As for that whole idea about being unable to conceive later because of the pill? Honestly, that sounds like something people tell toddlers...
