Have you ever wondered if the events in the Final Destination series would actually happen if this person hadn't foreseen them first? It reminds me of when the Oracle mentions the vase to Neo in The Matrix, then asks him if he would have broken it if she hadn't brought it up. What are your thoughts on that kind of causality?
There’s no such thing as a truly great horror franchise, because usually, after one solid first movie, you just get a string of incredibly stupid sequels.
It feels like most of the Oscar winners are already a foregone conclusion, maybe with the exception of Best Actor and Best Director—though even those might be set in stone unless there’s a real showdown coming up.
I think these kinds of prize games are pretty interesting. I’ve actually given it some thought myself, but the catch is that nowadays anyone can just Google anything in seconds. Still, if there’s a reward on the line, you really ought to put in some actual effort. It’s definitely possible I might put something together down the road...😁
I’m excited, but man, it’s been a lifetime... Michael Keaton isn't exactly a young guy anymore, and Winona definitely isn't that little girl playing Lydia anymore either.
The Godfather is easily the best movie on this list. Honestly, the only one that even comes close is The Godfather Part II, while at least half of the others don't even belong in a top ten...
There’s a pretty wild theory surrounding Kubrick, who passed away from a sudden heart attack just days before his final film, Eyes Wide Shut, hit theaters—despite having no history of heart issues. Some conspiracy theorists claim he had been part of the Illuminati for years, even alleging he helped the US government fake the moon landing back in the sixties, only to be ousted from the secret society later on. The idea is that he intended to expose their secrets through Eyes Wide Shut, but died right before the release, leaving behind an edited version of the movie that critics slammed as nonsensical and disjointed. The creepiest part? Kubrick died exactly 666 days before January 1st, 2001, the date of his most iconic film.
The music in Radiance is honestly pretty eerie, especially during that opening scene where they follow Jack's bug with the helicopter... gives me goosebumps.
Since we're talking about Pierce Brosnan, it would be awesome to run a poll to see which actor you think captures the essence of James Bond best, or just who your all-time favorite Bond is. That would be pretty fun to see...
It’s definitely Christopher Reeve. He left such an incredible mark in that role that he's basically synonymous with it globally—not to mention how he truly embodied the spirit of Superman in his own life after the accident.
Absolutely stunning film. I’m really glad this thread was started because the movie is a straight-up masterpiece. As for Nicholson, I honestly think the only one who outshines him is Brando.

Mel Gibson is a great actor, but he’s even stronger as a director. I have no doubt this will be a solid movie, but I really hope it gives him enough momentum for some new directing projects. He's definitely a conservative right-winger with a pretty difficult, prickly personality, but look at guys like Ford or Milius—they still managed to make absolute masterpiece films.
Well, obviously that bitch Oksana is just an opportunist who married him for the money to exploit him. Of course, I'm not saying Mel is some innocent lamb; if you watch those Lethal Weapon movies where he basically plays himself, you can see exactly what kind of character he has. Oksana knew exactly how to play that and embarrass him in front of the whole world. Still, I hope this doesn't tank his career too much. The Beaver looks like a great piece of work, even if you can tell Mel has aged quite a bit. I'm actually hoping he shows up in Mad Max again, since they're expecting a fourth installment soon.
I'm not entirely sure what the ground rules are here or who’s allowed to host these kinds of trivia challenges, but I’d be super interested in putting one together. I doubt I could pull off something as massive or complex as what we've seen, but I think it would be a blast, especially if we had some killer prizes lined up for the winners. What do you guys think?
