My mother-in-law—bless her heart—has this ritual where she applies compresses made from local extra virgin olive oil; she claims it’s some sort of magic balm for her skin, though I can't help but wonder if it actually works as well as she thinks it does...
You clearly don't have any weight to deal with here😁 😁 😁 I find myself cleaning three times a day—it seems there is always something left behind on the mop, no matter how much effort I put in
By the way, it’s obviously much easier to wipe down hardwood or laminate floors than it is to deal with carpet... though I actually got rid of all my carpets a long time ago
steelsailor17 said:In my estimation, the smoother the surface—the easier it is to simply wipe away with a damp cloth—the less dust you'll actually find accumulating in the room.
Actually, I’d argue the opposite—the smoother the surface, the more easily the dust gets kicked up into the air. You barely even have to move; just walking down a hallway or creating a tiny bit of a draft is enough... or perhaps the dog comes sprinting by ;-) ...or maybe you just wave your hand—the one holding the rag you intended to use for cleaning—and suddenly, you've lofted it all right back into the air again. (Goodness, reading that back, I sound like I'm playing tennis with a cleaning rag! ;-))) And let’s be honest, when you have a dog running around, a huge portion of that mess is constantly being redistributed through the house.😁 😁 😁
So, I was checking my levels again recently—I make a point of doing this every six months since my old man is diabetic, and my grandmother actually had though she managed to live nearly 80 years with it (she was diagnosed at 58) and never even needed insulin shots
Anyway, those BBQ sliders we had were seriously intense—once we finally finished eating, I honestly thought I might have to change my shirt because I was sweating so much; it felt like stepping out into a summer heatwave in Phoenix right after a downpour, you know? Just sitting there eating those hot sliders...
Apparently, this comes from some recent study over in Europe—though I suppose we should look at what's happening here in the States too—suggesting that laminate flooring just isn't up to par anymore. The idea being that in wealthier nations, people are moving away from it entirely, opting instead for more premium materials... which, predictably, means the manufacturing plants are all being offshored to Eastern markets 😕
It’s way too smooth ---> the dust kicks up much easier ----> allergies, so I wouldn't recommend it if you suffer from asthma I actually already gave a more detailed response regarding this over on the housing subforum
I was checking out some responses over at Reddit tonight—by the way, they aren't all that great (even though people on LinkedIn were raving about them)—and I am just absolutely exhausted, beyond words. I’ve already downed a liter of water, two small bottles of Vitaminwater, and a good half-liter of Coke just to boil it down so I can refill my bottle with cold water again.
In that case, if a woman finds herself struggling with conflicting feelings about pregnancy—really torn internally—it can lead to quite a few complications during the term and even after the baby arrives. Sometimes, you might find that seeking support from a psychologist, or even a psychiatrist, becomes necessary to navigate those waters.
Ultimately, it all comes down to how resilient their relationship is.
Goldman Sachs said:It’s simply not true that the procedure is reversible for men. There is only about a 45% chance of success. That is why you really need to think long and hard before deciding on a vasectomy!
Well, what's the actual harm if it isn't reversible? 😁
The real issue—if there is one—is just how incredibly difficult it is to find a man willing to go through with it in the first place, ;-)
Isn't there some silly regulation here in the States regarding this? I seem to recall something about men not being allowed to do it unless they already have, say, four kids or some similar requirement... I can't quite remember if there is an age limit involved too, isto vazi i za zenu
Matthew Sullivan32 said:Only a complete lunatic or a literal monster would even attempt something like that.🙄 ☕
I realize you’re feeling all sorts of things right now—it’s natural, given you’re about to become a father— but honestly, that statement is a bit much, don't you think?
What if we're talking about a case involving sexual assault, or any number of other horrific tragedies?
I honestly can’t quite wrap my head around the current state of the public healthcare system here,
My husband was dealing with some issues recently—and you know how men get about groin problems—it's just one of those sensitive topics, right? ;-) I mean, imagine having to visit a gynecologist every six months! ;-))) Anyway, he originally went to see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic, who provided a clear diagnosis, but then the doctors at the local hospital were just... well, they seemed completely intimidated by him.
It makes me wonder, why wouldn't parents just have a child circumcised if the diagnosis was already there from the start?
If I recall correctly from reading an American parenting magazine, the standard recommendation for treating phimosis is to go through with the procedure as early as possible.
Are we talking about a standard circumcision or one of those newer preputioplasty techniques? Was this something you were born with, or did it develop because of frequent infections? I assume you’ve already tried stretching the area using steroid creams?
There’s a specialist—I think his name is Dr. Kaplan or something similar—who is quite well-known for handling these kinds of "urological issues." He runs a private practice, and if I recall correctly, he performs minor procedures right there in an outpatient setting. The only thing is that a standard consultation with him usually runs about $150
Walter Myers4 said:When the heat is really cranking, people actually suggest drinking hot tea—apparently, it helps regulate your body temperature by helping your internal systems adjust to the external environment.😁
I definitely see the logic there, though I have to admit—getting myself to actually chug a steaming cup of tea when it's sweltering outside feels like quite the hurdle. If you really stop to think about it, isn't it true that the sweat only starts pouring off you right after you've downed a glass of ice-cold water? It’s such a strange way for the body to react, isn't it?
Well, who knows? Maybe he was carrying an extra 110 pounds before this started—in which case, we're looking at some serious progress here 🙂 By the way, how certain are you that it’s actually Mac? It crossed my mind that it might be his son... or maybe it really is the partner he claims it is? I assume they all share the same pitch, attending all the same seminars and whatnot, right?
1. Having "thick skin" essentially means it’s doing wonders for your nerves 😁 😉 😁 Seriously, James Newman4, where did you disappear to? Are you still helping us navigate all this Herbalife stuff???
edit; he isn't even on the list down there anymore—I suppose you all managed to chase him off by last night, it seems to me
Maybe some sci-fi adventures—you know, along the lines of Conan the Barbarian—where you have strong women just absolutely running the show and ruling the world. 😉 😉 😁 Or perhaps something more romantic? I mean, those melodramas where a woman is fighting for her rights, or maybe battling for love... those types of stories set in the Middle Ages are quite captivating, don't you think? 😁 😁 😁 😉 😉 😉 Or even Westerns, something with that Calamity Jane or Butch Cassidy flair. Personally, I find I’m most engaged when there is solid action—swords clashing, intense swordplay, and all that. Though, honestly, I might just end up revisiting some classic comic books instead. 😁 😁 😁 Action comedies in the vein of Lethal Weapon could work too. Then there are the fairy tales—if we consider things like Fast & Furious or Taxi to be modern versions of that—or even those vintage flicks from the 60s that somehow manage to break speed records racing through the city streets. 😁 😁 😉 etc.
I can't say I agree with banning James Newman4 and people like him—just because you don't care for someone's vibe doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way, right? Like you said yourself, it’s all about perspective. People aren't incapable of thinking for themselves; they can weigh the pros and cons without being babysat. The only thing I'm actually curious about is whether anyone here is using Herbalife strictly for their own health—you know, purely for wellness rather than trying to flip it to others via Multi-level marketing. The internet is essentially just a massive pool of information—whether that data is accurate or totally bogus is up to the user; we really shouldn't be acting like our own little board of censors. And honestly, if he was making sexist remarks, what kind of mess are you all getting yourselves into by grouping him in with you?
