Kyle Johnson2, thanks. 🙂 If it "breaks" again, I’ll follow your steps (though I have a feeling it might 😁). In the meantime, it's working again. It wouldn't budge this morning, so I shut down the computer, headed out, came back just now, gave it another shot, and—lo and behold—everything is fine. Every document, every single part, works perfectly. What an absolute joke. ☕
Nah, that’s not the issue. Look, I’m no idiot when it comes to Word—I get what you're saying—but you clearly aren't following me. 🙂 The issue is specifically with the bullets. On a totally blank page in a new document with zero formatting applied, the exact same thing happens: I click the "Bullets" button, the list activates, but the actual bullets stay invisible until I actually start typing in that line. Once I type something, even just a single letter or a space, the bullet finally shows up. Just two days ago, if I clicked "Bullets," the bullet would pop up immediately on the first line, regardless of whether there was text there or not. I'd have my little dash at the start of the line with nothing after it. Now? The start of the line stays empty until I start typing. Only once I hit, say, "a," does the bullet appear at the beginning.
Edit: Okay, now it's working okay, then not okay again... honestly, I have no clue what's going on. 😕
No, I get it, everything is fine. 🙂 Okay, so here’s what just happened... I went to delete a chunk of text (everything after number 21) so my specific points wouldn't be visible, and then I added a new Bulleted list on the bottom line. Suddenly—boom—a bullet point appears at the very start of the first line. 😕 Now it’s working normally.
Anyway, this was exactly what was happening; hopefully, it makes more sense now. 🙂
Word 2003, I forgot to mention that. 🙂 I’ve been grinding away at this one document for a few days now. I'm just typing out my bullet points the usual way—hit enter, a bullet pops up on the next line, type away. Suddenly (probably hit some random key combo without realizing it, who knows), the bullets aren't appearing anymore. Now they only show up once I actually start typing the text. That’s how I've always done it. I need to figure out what went wrong! This keeps happening to me—I accidentally trigger some setting with a shortcut and then spend days hunting for the fix. 😉
I’m having some trouble with Word too. 😍 So, I’m typing away, everything is set up using Bullets, but every time I hit enter, a dash pops up on the next line—even if I don't type anything at all. Then, out of nowhere, I'll hit enter and it just moves to a new line without the dash appearing. The dash only shows up once I actually start typing something. I just want it to work the old-fashioned way. This is driving me crazy. I tried searching on Google and digging through the settings in Word, but nothing worked. Can anyone help me out? 😢
Hey there! I’ve been digging around online, but I can't find anything reliable. My banks are closed, and since I'm getting a bit impatient, I figured I'd just ask here right now.
I'm heading to Poland, the Czech Republic, and Austria soon. I’ve got a standard Intel Visa and a Visa debit card for online shopping, plus my checking and savings accounts are all set in US dollars. I can use both cards abroad, right? And how does the whole currency conversion thing actually work? Like, if I'm in Warsaw and I swipe my card to pay a 100 złoty bill, am I going to get hit with some massive commission? Does the math go from złoty to Euros and then to dollars, or does it jump straight to dollars—or something else entirely? Am I going to lose a chunk of change in the process? Is it actually smarter to just carry cash instead?
Mood swings—they’re definitely a thing. They used to absolutely wreck me (I went through six months of it and didn't even realize I was becoming "a little" mentally unstable; it just felt "normal" at the time. It wasn't until I stopped taking Loestrin that I realized what those last six months were actually like and how much I'd changed 😂). People say it takes three months to adjust... Good luck during those few months if you decide to keep taking them. I really hope you feel better soon. 😉
Regarding your period—are we talking about the withdrawal bleeding after finishing your first pack, or the bleeding you get right when you first start the pills? Spotting, or those random little bits of bleeding throughout the month, is totally possible and listed as a side effect. I had it once; it was just a lighter extension of my period (the one that started when I kicked off my first pack), lasting maybe a week. But check out the previous question and wait for someone smarter and more experienced than me to chime in.
There is zero chance you're pregnant if you haven't had sex (assuming that’s what you're worried about). 😍 Hey, yours will show up soon. Mine just started—it's day three of my break. Sometimes it hits on day one, sometimes day four. Maybe that erythromycin messed with your pills or threw your hormones out of whack? Just wait for a few more replies.
Grace Jones3 said:If you’ve already tried two of them and they didn't work, just give it a third shot—there’s definitely one out there that’ll actually click for you. For me, Yasmin was an absolute nightmare—I was dealing with constant PMS the entire time I was on it. And don't even get me started on Cilest; it made me feel sick to my stomach and I was constantly throwing up. Right now, I’ve been on Logest for about six months, and I just had bloodwork done this week—everything came back totally normal, zero side effects so far...
I thought about trying Yasmin or Yaz, but maybe in a year or so. They’re just too expensive for us right now (it gets brutally hot here in the summer, and the rest of the year we only see each other once a month). Honestly, sticking with condoms makes more sense; they cost us about $25 a month, and we can use the extra cash for movies or whatever.
Oh, and I forgot to mention my lovely little problem—Candida. Yeast infections seem to go absolutely crazy whenever I'm on the pill.😍🙂 No thanks, I’m not interested in having to go to bed every night with some herbal or "synthetic" remedy shoved inside me. 🙄
silverowl92 said:Just a few hours in the afternoon? Hmm... I mean, it probably depends on exactly when you’re feeling it. Like, maybe that’s just when your hormone levels are hitting their lowest point, or maybe they're peaking—who knows, right? Biology is such a weird roller coaster sometimes. But seriously, you should definitely go see Dr. Miller at the Mayo Clinic, or honestly, even just hit up your regular family doctor at CVS. A GP might actually be able to connect the dots, especially if there are other health things you've been dealing with lately. It’s always better to get a professional to look at the whole picture instead of just guessing!
Hmm, I take them in the evening, around 10 PM. That’s usually when it works best for me. Most nights (regardless of whether I've taken the pills), my mood is more sensitive—you know, easier to get sad, angry, or just totally zonked out. Honestly? I think I'm going to run for the hills and ditch this poison. I'm not against medication in general, but these pills have backfired on me twice now. It’s just not worth being mentally unstable, moody, or constantly overanalyzing things just for a slightly better time in bed. I don't dare keep taking this stuff for another few months; I'm terrified of pushing my partner away.🙄
Not really. I’m usually pretty chill (well, except for when PMS hits). 😍 Here, today’s been fine, but yesterday was just awful (and that was only for a few hours in the afternoon 😕).
I’m honestly terrified of messing up my body again. It’s only been a month on these pills, and now I’m scared I’m going to spend the next 3 or 4 months dealing with nothing but side effects.
Is there any way—like, any specific supplement or pill—that can stop these mood swings? Look, I really don't want to go heavy on the antidepressants, but maybe something mild and herbal would work? It’s this sudden crying spell. Like, we’re just about to watch Kung Fu Panda 🙄 with my guy, getting the food ready, settling onto the couch, starting a movie, and suddenly I just start sobbing. My whole day was actually great. I feel like this might be crossing into deeper psychological territory (it doesn't feel like "normal" behavior or how a healthy brain should function).
Hey everyone, I need some advice. 😍 Summer is here, my partner is finally back from his long trip, and we should be enjoying this time together—seeing each other every single day, being happy... but... ...but I started on Triquilar, and my sunshine isn't exactly beaming lately. Some days I feel full of joy, but more often than not, I’m right on the edge of tears. I feel like a complete idiot, and there are moments where I just don't care about anything—I don't even feel the same way about my man as I used to...
Should I push through for a few more months to let my body adjust, knowing it means giving him ten times more nagging, complaining, and making him play therapist? Or should I just stop after this one box and secure my happiness for the price of a little hormonal chaos? I'm terrified of repeating what happened with Logest; for six months straight, I didn't even realize my entire life had shrunk down to nothing but whining, crying, and complaining. I really don't want that for this summer. 😢
Roger Phillips54 said:I have a question that some of you might find a bit funny, but I’m being serious: Is it actually possible for birth control pills to affect how easy it is to reach orgasm?? I’ve been taking Triqular and I am honestly thrilled with them, but—and this might just be a total coincidence on my part—I’ve noticed that reaching a climax has become significantly more difficult.
Does anyone here know more about the science behind this??
I didn't have those issues when I was on Logest. Hopefully, nothing like that pops up with Triquilar. Also, it seems like I haven't become "extra soft" yet, like I did with Logest. Every now and then I feel like crying for no real reason; sometimes everything just feels totally pointless. I guess I'll just have to see how things play out. 🎉
I don't really care about Trinovum, just tell me this: 1. I want to know general pricing for all these pills; 2. Why is Trinovum so cheap and why isn't it used more often? 3. If Triquilar doesn't work out for me, what’s the damage with the others (Cilest, Yaz, Yasmin—though they’ll probably suggest those, and I’m passing => long distance + being frugal = no way I'm dropping a ton of cash for maybe 2-3 rounds of sex per pack); 4. Any info is helpful.
Ugh, I really hope things improve with the Triquilar. I'm only on my 5th pill, and yesterday and today I spent most of the day feeling 😢🙂😢 for no reason at all. How long does it take to adjust? Three months, apparently? What if I still feel 😢🙂😢 after that (that’s how it was for six months with Logest)?
One more question: what’s the deal with Trinovum? Who actually gets prescribed it, and seriously, why on earth is there such a massive price gap between different pills? 😕 Look, I'm not paying more than $20 for birth control. It's either cheaper or I'm not doing it. Honestly, it's not worth dropping $33 just for sex four times a month.
Nathan Gomez8 said:If I were in your shoes, I would stop taking the pills until I had done some thorough research to understand exactly why this is happening. However, you should consult with a gynecologist first; they will be able to explain the situation and provide guidance on what to do next.
When faced with symptoms like these, there isn't much to be done other than stopping immediately and heading to a doctor. You shouldn't take heart issues lightly. It is the same principle as recognizing the warning signs of an embolism or similar conditions involving leg pain. In certain cases, taking that step can quite literally save your life. 😉
By the way, Yaz, the exchange rate for Trinovum is sitting at around 14 and change. $39 At my local pharmacy, Logest goes for about $80. However, you'll find that prices vary quite a bit depending on which pharmacy you visit.
And everyone claims prices vary from pharmacy to pharmacy, but I’ve always paid the exact same thing. If there really is a difference, it’s probably only a few cents, right?
Elizabeth Patel67 said:So... let me see if I’ve actually grasped the logic here. You’re suggesting that because I, Diane, don't use these specifically for birth control—but rather to manage my PCOS diagnosis—they essentially cost me nothing out of pocket? That if I didn't have this particular medical condition hanging over my head, I'd be staring down a massive bill instead? Well, isn't that just absolutely fascinating...
Yeah... Sure. 😬 They won't recommend Diane-35 for contraception, right? They aren't allowed to. It’s strictly for treating PCOS in women. The fact that these pills happen to work as birth control is just a side effect. A whole different story. 😬
That’s right, isn't it? I’m definitely not some seasoned expert when it comes to pills, but I hope I’ve actually listened and picked up a few things along the way.
Hey, can I make a suggestion? 😬 Ladies on birth control, would you mind sharing the current prices of the pills you’re taking or have used? If possible, maybe the mod could compile them into a single post titled something like "Contraceptive Pill Prices"? I think it would help everyone out. This info is surprisingly hard to find online, and what little you do find is usually outdated. It feels kind of silly having to walk into a CVS just to ask for a price list. 😍 So far, here's what I know: Logest - $26 Triquilar - $20
I heard Trinovum is $5.00—can anyone currently on it confirm that? Also, we probably need prices for Yasmin, Yaz, Cilest, and whatever else is available here in the States (if there are others I'm forgetting)? I heard Diane 35 is covered by insurance for minors, but adults have to pay out of pocket $50; apparently, you get a pack of three "tabs" of pills. Is that right? They're a bit of a special case since they're mainly for treating hormonal issues.
