So... I was at the gynecologist a few days ago, and he mentioned I have a cyst on one of my ovaries that’s stalling ovulation (if I caught his drift correctly). I think he said there's a (roughly) mature egg sitting right there that should be released, but poor thing just can't get out because of the cyst. 😕 He prescribed some Duphaston for me to take for five days to trigger my period and hopefully clear the cyst in the process. Well, my period showed up today (it was 25 days late), so he says I don't need to take the pills anymore. But I'm assuming the stuff about the cyst and the blocked ovulation still stands? I've been reading that most of these cysts resolve on their own, and mine isn't particularly large or dangerous according to him, right? 😕 Did I get all that right? 😍
So, assuming the cyst clears up soon—once it does, will ovulation actually happen for that mostly mature egg, or is it just going to die off since it can't thrive in those conditions? And if ovulation and fertilization actually happen, wouldn't the zygote have nowhere to go anyway? My endometrium isn't "thick" enough since I'm on birth control and haven't had a normal cycle or the usual gradual thickening, right? 😕 😍
Anyway, should I play it safe and finish another one or two packs of pills before I stop using condoms? Last time, I went condomless starting from the very first pack, but this feels like a different situation entirely. 😬
It’s not required, not necessary at all, but if you really want to, go ahead. 🙂 I was just wondering if anyone here has dealt with this exact same specific situation? If so, maybe share your experiences—we'd obviously be more alike in that case. For anything else regarding Triquilar, I’ll just type "Triquilar forum" into Google and read until my eyes bleed. Everyone’s side effects are different, and everyone reacts to different pills differently, so those other stories aren't really that helpful for me personally.
Aha, so Trinovum is the cheapest option for you. 😬 Here we go—my prescription just arrived out of nowhere (some clean batch caused a bit of a delay), so I’m heading off to try my luck with Triquilar. It turns out they aren't 40, but actually $20, which is fine; they aren't breaking the bank (anything more than that is definitely not worth it for me). I did warn my partner to watch out for any shifts in my mood—kind of like what happened with Logest—or any other changes.
Does anyone here meet both these criteria and can give me an answer: 1. You tried Logest and it wasn't for you. 2. You switched over to Triquilar afterward. What was your experience like after the switch?
I saw my OBGYN today and we got talking about birth control. I mentioned that I might consider starting pills again in a year or two, but they feel way too expensive right now and aren't really worth it—plus, Logest just didn't work for me. He goes, "Want to try Triquilar? I'll write you a prescription for them, $13 they're just as effective." Are they actually that pricey? (Like, what's the actual cost? I could only find old pricing online).
Could you capitalize my first letter? And if everyone’s cool with it, maybe add "Delegation" (meaning the regnikolarna delegation)? 😁
You can do the capital letter, so "Regnikolarna." But adding "Delegation" isn't possible—the nickname would end up being way too long. If you want to change the capitalization, just reach out to ZgSash.
Looks like I stopped taking them. But my libido—while I was actually on them—wasn't really great (caused some serious mental instability 😍).
Oh, and to add—my period didn't change much. My first cycle after quitting the pill was a little late (about 10-14 days), but everything else has been fine since (cycles are 29-32 days, just like before the pill).
So, I’ve been drinking for about six months now—well, let’s just say I’ve been experimenting—and I noticed some changes. Nothing crazy, but I started seeing these tiny little dark hairs on my chest, a few under my bottom lip, and stuff like that.😢
I’m pretty ticklish. I can make myself laugh by tickling my own feet, but it’s just not the same as when someone else does it. The usual spots get me—underarms, stomach, especially my feet—but I’ve also got some random sensitive areas, like my butt or that area right between my backside and... well, you know. My boyfriend tries to tickle me because he just wants to see me smile and be happy, but I’m actually dying over here. Honestly, there have been a few times where I felt like punching him. 😢

Does anyone happen to know—maybe hlapichka does—roughly what Logest tablets go for in Canada? I’m planning a trip up toward Buffalo soon, so if they really are cheaper there...
Someone mentioned on another thread that they were 5.67 bucks. Our doctors are seriously whining. 😢
Maybe I’ve just got weak blood, kind of like my parents and sister. 😁 Ugh, I really don't feel like doing this again. Maybe in a month or so. So, I need to ask for a referral for a finger prick—you know, a coagulation profile. 😍 Thanks so much!
Hmm... they didn't even prick my finger, despite me telling the doctor I wanted a full blood panel. 😠 It looks like part of it is missing. My platelets are fine—actually, a little low. Looking at these results, I don't see anything that points to cholesterol. And if those are liver enzymes, then everything there is okay too.
Hey again! What’s actually in a blood panel? Like, what do things like platelets, MCH, MCHC, RDW, or metabolites mean 😕 when you're taking pills? I had my blood drawn today. Everything looks more or less fine, except my ESR is high. But ESR isn't related to medication, right? It's usually about inflammation or bacteria and stuff like that, yeah? I really don't feel like sitting in a doctor's office waiting forever just to ask three quick questions, and Google isn't giving me any smart answers. 😢 😍

Hmm, I got a different story over on the other thread. 😕 Sent an email to my OB-GYN a few days ago, so now I'm just waiting to hear back. Won't be having sex for another 5 or 6 days, which gives me plenty of time to get the facts straight. Once I know, I'll let you guys know what the deal actually is! 😁
So, I heard I was supposed to be taking them more regularly too. I think that break I took messed things up, because that’s when I actually started getting my period back. Did this happen to anyone else? Ugh, I’m definitely going to have to grill my gynecologist next time about what to do. Honestly, I’m terrified of the moment I stop the pill or take another break.😲
And now I’m just sitting here tearing up. A few hours ago, I was absolutely livid. I wanted to send my boyfriend straight to hell. I think he sensed the mood, though. Tea isn't helping. Sweets aren't helping. Nothing is.😢
Here I go again with another question: Things have gotten a bit fuzzy 😢 It’s not huge, but there's definitely a difference (or at least, I see it). The first time I noticed things getting a little thicker was during a three-month break after being on Logest for half a year. That was back in September, and my stomach area got fuzzier, my bikini line covers a slightly larger area, and I have more fine hair on my face. It’s stayed like that until now. Today I went to put on a bra and realized my breasts are actually covered in light fuzz, about half a centimeter long. Should I be worried? I'm a little scared that in six months I'll turn into a mild orangutan, or that once I stop taking these pills for a year, I'll turn into a full-blown orangutan.😢
Alright, then I should probably look into getting some more of that tea! And when I'm off the pills, my PMS hits just as hard, so everyone around me ends up suffering too.😂
thanks 🙂 As for sweets, I’m pretty frugal anyway, so I don't see the point in buying a chocolate bar every single day 😂
Also, when I was at the drugstore, they mentioned some kind of natural miracle for PMS (I think they were capsules, but I'm not entirely sure). Could that actually help while on birth control? Are both the PMS and that "pill-induced irritability/sadness/nastiness" just the result of a massive hormonal surge? I wouldn't jump straight to "drastic" measures, but if things start repeating what happened six months ago—where I was on them for 4-5 months, took a 3-month break, and then started again, which means I'm expecting total mood chaos—my boyfriend isn't going to be very happy about it 🤣
