Most of you probably live in actual, functioning cities.

Down in places like Petrinja and Sisak, real estate prices have gone absolutely insane, yet since the earthquake, there hasn't been any real reconstruction. It feels like they’re just winging it when it comes to basic medical facilities, social services, schools, and pretty much every other essential institution.

I mean, things might be somewhat stable in Sisak, but in Petrinja, you're basically left with nothing despite the skyrocketing costs. You've got contractors working under the table trying to squeeze "employers," there's a massive shortage of laborers, and finding building materials is a total nightmare...

The reconstruction efforts in Petrinja are honestly a bit of a tragedy, where the people actually doing the work always seem to show up a day late and a dollar short.

If Vukovar is considered a hero city, then Petrinja is basically a town left in the dust.

Nobody wanted this situation. But now that the midget has completely lost his mind, it's time to bite the bullet and hold the line until the midget retreats with his tail between his legs. And frankly, I couldn't care less about politicians or who ends up behind bars. This transcends all of that.

A little objectivity wouldn't hurt you. It's somewhat true that the little guy has gone off the deep end, but that didn't happen overnight.

Even though this leans more toward being a fan's gut feeling than anything else, I just couldn't pass up a line like this. Look, Bayern Munich is formidable, they aren't getting hammered by injuries quite as hard as Arsenal, and their schedule hasn't been nearly as brutal lately, but let's be real—Arsenal isn't exactly a pushover either. They’ll likely have Laurent Koscielny anchoring the defense, Simon Vermaelen will probably slot in on the left instead of Walcott Gibbs, and while they're missing Sagnol (which, honestly, is more of a plus), both Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere have been out for a while now. Still, I’m sticking with my guns on the away win.
To be clear, this is mostly me rooting for the underdog here (I actually like Arsenal, and frankly, I can't stand Pep Guardiola's whole philosophy, so I'm secretly hoping they knock him out today).

It feels like Arsène Wenger is practically begging the referees to wrap this thing up early so he can finish the match with eleven men on the pitch. And since we're talking about cards, it wouldn't be a stretch to bet on Vermaelen picking up a yellow, especially with Arjen Robben running at him—especially since Walcott Gibbs is much more agile, but he's out of the lineup today. Hopefully, that big win over Everton FC gave Wenger's squad a little boost in confidence. We might even see Mesut Özil put in a massive performance for once, and I’m expecting plenty from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain too. As for Olivier Giroud, I don't care if he scores with his foot, his head, or... well, anything else—as long as he finds the back of the net, I'm happy.

Benitez is talking about today’s match like it’s the Super Bowl, whereas Garcia seems perfectly fine settling for a draw. Either way, we’ve got two heavy hitters on the pitch that have been absolutely tearing up the net all season. The Napoli squad looks a little more haggard since they're juggling league play with the Europa League, while Roma is putting all their eggs in the domestic championship basket. With Roma having a game in hand, they could pull six points ahead, which probably explains why Benitez is preaching such intense seriousness for this derby. I'm expecting a high-scoring affair. I’m honestly not sure if there is even any point in dissecting these matchups. Real Madrid is just steamrolling through everything right now, scoring goals at an absurd rate, and they finally seem to have sorted out their defense. On the other hand, Atletico is looking a bit shaky; after that 1-0 win against AC Milan—which, if you ask me, felt more like luck than actual skill—they suffered a bruising 3-0 loss on the road to Osasuna. But today feels different, though. They’re playing with 110% intensity here, so I’m expecting plenty of action from both sides.

Just another derby where my money is on a high-scoring affair. Even though they got dismantled by the Austrians in Europe recently, Ajax is moving along quite nicely in the league and currently sits in first place, while Feyenoord is trailing in fourth, sitting nine points behind.

By all laws of probability, this should be an over 2.5 game, but I think I'll try something a bit more experimental and bet on both sides finding the net in the first half. Hoffenheim is looking solid at home, while the Wolves are performing well enough on the road. To be honest, I don't know what I can really claim to know when picking something like this; it's essentially a lottery. Both sides are scoring frequently and are completely dialed into the league, so I've got a feeling we'll see some early goals.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time watching both these squads this season, and I genuinely enjoy their style of play. I view Real Madrid as the superior side, playing with much more flair, but Sevilla is notoriously difficult to deal with at home and they always leave everything on the pitch. They tend to neglect their defense more often than not, which I suspect Real could exploit. Last time Sevilla played at home against Real, they lost 1-2 back in May of 2013, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar result today.

Before I get into the actual table, I should probably mention a little context—Widzew is struggling quite a bit on the road lately. Looking back at the American league stats, their last away draw was way back on May 30, 2013, and they haven't actually managed an away win since October 20, 2012. If you count everything starting from that


Ruch, on the other hand, was all over the map when playing at home during the early part of the season; you really never knew what kind of result you were going to get. Things finally started looking up for them in November, though, when they put together a nice run of four consecutive home wins with a decent +4 goal difference. I have a feeling they might be able to pull off a win against the bottom-dwellers today and maybe even sneak their way up into 3rd place for a moment.

Since both of my Champions League bets went south yesterday, I’m skipping the big matches today to focus on the land of premium chocolate and cold hard cash. The visitors are a solid squad, they're fighting for that top spot, and honestly, I think they can walk away with the points.


The home team hasn't been looking great lately. This whole month of them trying to find their rhythm has been nothing short of a disaster.


The younger guys are finding their stride though, and I'm feeling hopeful they'll pull off a win today.
