And now we wait to see...
Honestly, this whole cup is a complete joke...
The organization is amateur at best, and the officiating? Straight-up criminal.

When you have teams playing this wild and undisciplined, they should be handed exclusions right out of the gate. Otherwise, you're just setting the stage for a total massacre on the field...
What kind of animals are we dealing with in Tunisia... and what does the sentencing look like?

Laco breaks them down like an Al-Qaeda operative, while Peri just goes straight for the expulsion...
Not great... this guy personally handed us 12 goals... what a complete disaster...
Those guys are tough nuts to crack... just like how Peter said yesterday... "they're just unpredictable... wild"...🙂)
21-22 for the Native Americans
Man, those Tunisian crowds are just a complete mess... it’s a total display of how unrefined things can get over there...

Storming the pitch right while the anthem is playing and acting like absolute animals... you wouldn't even see that kind of chaos in the States...
frozentiger6 said:Sure, they create space when they want to, but our guys haven't played that style in a long time.

Why, I have no idea. We used to play such a fast-paced game, always finding those gaps on the wings against teams like China or Djomba with ease. Why that disappeared, I can't say.

We’re lacking that width in the attack lately. Luckily, we have Bailey, and Vori has grown into a fantastic pivot. All that old sluggishness is gone; he’s agile, quick, and has put on serious muscle—he's easily one of the best pivots in the world right now. He’s playing even better than he did in Athens. Running a 5-1 defense with Vori up front looks great, and his offensive game keeps improving.

It’ll be even better at the World Championships. As long as everyone stays healthy, we should be able to steamroll through the competition.

I don't know about you all... but from what I saw (I only caught the semifinals), it feels like Bailey and Vori are basically playing one-man against the rest of the team.
Good grief... this guy is spinning like a top, hair flying everywhere, then he just snatches the ball from don't Vori and scores... followed by Vori standing there with his arms wide open like Bubba from a cartoon, innocently sprinting toward our own goal...🙂

Sean Wilson40 said:And the question remains: why isn't Buntić playing? They marketed him as a carbon copy of Perov, the heir apparent, and all that.
He’s got a hell of a shot though...

Our handball players really are top-tier ambassadors.
Ivan belongs in the Hall of Fame...
Great squad, truly... a group of friends...

If only China were here to crack a joke or two.🙂 🙂

That's what makes this sport so beautiful... no flashy pop music or excessive money involved... just brotherhood, pure effort, and class.😉
frozentiger6 said:Look, he didn't walk away from handball entirely; he just transitioned into management.

By the way, Zeko wasn't working over at Zabel, it was actually in Krusevcu. 😉

If I had mixed up the women's and men's leagues...🙂
Charles Young11 said:It’s a shame Vujo isn't coaching; he’d be the perfect fit for this role. 😁

Vujo walked away from handball and now he's working over at Zabel doing Zeko's old job.
Anyone who actually knows what I'm talking about will get the hint. 🙂

That's a much easier gig than the one mentioned above. 🙂

The last time I caught one of his works was back in San Francisco during a film festival retrospective—watching it on the big screen really changes things. 😎

Then there’s the one that basically defined Boston during the '90s...

Supposedly he's still kicking, somewhere in Canada.
Just like Sinter... a rogue until the very end.
Man, I should have seen this coming. I had a sinking feeling right when I started this thread that things were going to go south with those BlackRock keepers...😢
Hannah Thompson2 said:It’s an objective fact that playing goalkeeper is one of the most brutal jobs in soccer,

I was just looking back at a newspaper headline where Robinson was given a 4 rating, which, if you ask me, is completely absurd.

Look, he played well enough. He was responsible for the first goal, sure, but the second one? Not on him.

Neville shouldn't have been pinning that on the keeper, but when you're stuck behind a literal wall of grass that obscures your vision—which the replay shows clearly—and the ball takes a wicked bounce right at that moment,

you're looking at pure bad luck. It's a freak occurrence, not a failure of skill.

Hannah Thompson2, what are you, some kind of Canadian?
If not, quit the fancy linguistic gymnastics and just type normally without all those extra marks...

It’s painful to read... that weird way of writing...
Joseph Lee9 said:Robinson is to blame for both goals. For the first one, his positioning was just off, and for the second, he carries about 50% of the blame. The ball shouldn't be coming back to the keeper inside the box like that, and Robinson went for it with full force—he was clearly trying to clear it like a typical Englishman would.

That happens in 99.99% of scenarios. Don't be ridiculous.
The second goal is definitely on him—to an extent. If I were the manager, I’d be cursing my defenders; when a guy that small, without any jump or physical presence, gets hit by a ball right in the middle of the pitch, you expect better.
I’m writing this because I’m honestly just exhausted by the sheer amount of illogical nonsense and depressing talking points being thrown around regarding Robinson.
What we saw yesterday wasn't just a bad break; it was almost a textbook case—maybe even an extreme masterclass—of just how thankless the goalkeeper position can be. In my book, it’s easily the worst spot on the field in any team sport... and I mean by a massive margin.
The guy plays a masterclass for ninety minutes, keeping everything under control, and then two defenders fail to track the smallest player on the pitch, he gets a header to the face, and suddenly the ball is in the net.
As for that second goal, I don't even need to go there... it felt like a comet hit him square in the head and knocked him down, only for the ball to trickle in anyway, just so he could be branded the villain regardless.

Looking at the American media coverage, specifically those sensationalist tabloids, I get the feeling we were all watching a completely different game than the one being broadcast via satellite.
Robinson ended up with the lowest rating on the pitch by a wide margin, looking at everyone from both sides who played yesterday.
Every single headline features a shot of him looking like a total outcast, either burying his face in his gloves or staring off into space with a look of pure misery...

And the man isn't even at fault...

That’s just the life of a goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, a striker can get lucky enough to have a ball bounce off their head and into the net, and they’re instantly walking through the pearly gates of eternal glory...

It’s garbage...😳

Before I turn in for the night, I make sure to chug enough water to feel completely bloated... to the point where my stomach actually starts to ache.
Sometimes I’ll knock back as much as two liters... though it really just depends on how hard I went out and whatever else I was drinking that night.
It honestly gives me a bit of a scare when I wake up the next morning and realize I’ve barely passed any of that liquid back out.

Also, fermented cabbage brine is an absolute lifesaver. Vitamin C works its best magic there, helping to replenish everything the body is missing. 🙂
Of course, any sort of Vitamin C supplement can be helpful, but let’s be real—nothing compares to a glass of homemade brine from Grandma's kitchen. 🙂

feralcobra92 said:I was watching that interview tonight with the girl who spent eight years held captive by that psycho, and I honestly couldn't wrap my head around how confident, rational, and well-adjusted she seemed. I went in expecting to see some broken, terrified shell of a person, but instead, there she was, absolutely commanding the room. It was genuinely fascinating. As for the kidnapper? I’d love to take a swing at him. What do you guys think?

It's going to be quite something when they finally reveal how much of this was staged.

Then, cheers to everyone involved... especially those who started it all.
An eight-year isolation and a "dead" kidnapping... yet she's out here handling herself with such ease...
2007 Men's World Handball Championship: Germany in Other Sports ·
This is easily the best news we’ve had since the 1987 World University Games.

The local arena management can finally breathe a sigh of relief because the current facilities—all three of them—are in such complete shambles that it’s honestly a miracle the roof hasn't collapsed onto the floor yet.

This is really the only way to actually build a 20,000-seat Madison Square Garden type venue. Local government and the feds have the funds; they just need to apply that kind of pressure whenever a massive international organization comes knocking.
It already gives me chills thinking about our national team playing every single match in front of 20,000 fans who are all hungry for a comeback.😉

Joe, if we manage to land the 2012 Soccer Euro...🙂

Horror flicks leave a mark on kids.

When I first sat down to watch that series, I couldn't catch a wink of sleep for nights on end. I didn't have the guts to step foot in the kitchen, the basement, or any dark corner of the house without feeling a massive wave of dread—not to mention how much the whole clown thing messed with my head...🙂

Honestly, no other horror movie ever wrecked my psyche quite like that one did when I was young.
