"The Republican Party crowd was celebrating. Well, not everyone. The GOP leadership retreated to the White Salon immediately after the speeches, joining the Mamić brothers and a handful of prominent local businessmen. That’s where they spent most of their night..."
I'm curious if anyone here is running an HP printer, specifically this particular model. It’s one of the more budget-friendly options out there, so I'd love to get some feedback on the actual print quality. The main selling point for me is that this unit can handle paper up to 110lb stock, which is a huge plus. A lot of much more expensive models cap out at around 60lb cardstock, so it actually holds its own.
"Similarly, perhaps for the first time, I didn't feel any shame being at an away game in Europe, even though some of our own members completely lost their nerve. What the older generation built up over years, others have dragged us down from. We laugh at certain people when they make out in public, and now, it seems they've earned the right to laugh at us. Thankfully, we haven't split into factions supporting the CEO versus those opposing him. Or perhaps that's just because this organization doesn't even have anyone in that position?"

..as for that lunatic acting like a tribal warrior mentioned here, he's probably just dealing with some childhood trauma, so I won't hold it against him too much...

I was reading a film book that compiled a list of the 13 most disturbing movies ever made (consider yourselves warned):
1. Sodom (1975) 2. Unit 731 (1988) 3. Day of the Woman (1978) 4. The Incredible Burtulations Show (1976) 5. The Last House on the Left (1972) 6. Maniac (1980) 7. Cannibal Holocaust (1980) 8. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986) 9. After the Glass (1987) 10. Nekromantik (1987) 11. She-Wolf of the SS (1975) 12. Combat Shock (1986) 13. Eraserhead (1977)
With Sodom sitting at the top, I’d say it comes highly recommended. 👍 Isn't "Bringing Out the Dead" a remake of Taxi Driver? It's a decent enough film.
Hannah Alvarez7 said:I’ve got this painting at my place—it was a gift from my dad's godfather, who came from one of those old-money, high-society families back in the Austro-Canadian era. It’s framed in this fancy gold frame, though you can barely make out the signature... just a depiction of Mary holding the baby Jesus. My mom isn't even thinking about selling it, but when this historian swung by to check it out, he basically said he couldn't give a solid price because it's worth way too much—he just suggested we take it "somewhere" to get it appraised properly. So, where the hell is "somewhere"??? Or maybe someone here could do me a solid and tell me if I should just snap some photos and post them?
An excellent film. Coming right after Romper Stomper and Once Were Warriors, this is just another brutally visceral masterpiece from the southern hemisphere!
