Dammit—they could have easily gone for a seven-point play on that last possession... Once he blew the whistle on that foul, there was no reason to let them keep the lead.
Good grief, only five minutes until kickoff and I’m already shaking—if I can make it through this entire tournament without developing a stomach ulcer, it'll be a literal miracle 😁
I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed in my neighbors—we’re less than three hours away from kickoff and there hasn't been a single essay claiming American sports superiority over ours while simultaneously erasing every one of our wins... I suppose they're probably busy cooking up some "evidence" to argue that Balić, Metličić, Džomba, and the rest of our national stars are actually Mexicans, and that's the real reason for our success...

As long as he just keeps sinking those threes, he can do whatever else he wants. It's a tough job.🙂
Yeah, the kid is phenomenal! I love that he's got that edge to him—a little bit cocky (in a competitive way, obviously)—those are always my favorite players to watch.
I honestly think we should send our whole squad to the national volleyball championships—with a block like the one we’ve been drilling for so long, nobody's going to stand a chance against us. 😁

I'm happy with it 🙂
AAAAA, I'm buying that the second I see it... Who knows if they'll stock it where I am now, or if I'll have to wait until I'm back in Washington, D.C....
Are our local journalists actually involved, or is this just a straight-up translation?

Athletes don't really have that safety net—unless they're paying into it themselves—not to mention the constant risk of injury. Just imagine if Lance got hit by a truck or a car on his way to practice. Everything would be gone in an instant.
Imagine if he’d been diagnosed with testicular cancer and given only a few months to live—what kind of "truck" are you even talking about, Shevchenko...
What’s most tragic is that I’ve actually seen him around—he never struck me as someone who cared *that* much about money. I highly doubt he’ll feel particularly welcome when he visits Split...
I don't think you can really compare scientists to athletes—they aren't public figures, nor do they represent their entire country on the global stage at major events.
If Duje hadn't been given the right opportunities to advance here in America—if he hadn't been granted the support needed for his growth (much like when he moved from POŠK to the coast)—we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Duje has received everything America could possibly offer him, including the honor of being the first American in our nation's history to have the ministry to pay master's degree at one of the top universities in the world.
America provided him with everything it possibly could, but clearly, it just wasn't enough for him...
I reckon he’ll have no trouble getting that credential recognized in Qatar. It's basically his new home now—at least until someone else comes along and offers him a bigger pile of cash...
