I’m not much of a fortune teller—you’re better off calling these my personal wishful thinking...
I’m really hoping Williams shows up this year and fights hard until the very end for the Constructors' Championship (which they'll ultimately win 😬). My gut says Toyota will be a serious threat, though I have a nagging feeling Jenson Button might go winless again, while Rubens Barrichello actually proves his worth.
Renault is still a total wildcard to me; they looked sharp in testing, but then again, BAR was great last year too, and we all know how that ended. In my humble opinion, their success is going to depend heavily on how often their rivals break down—and I’m betting Fernando Alonso edges out Giancarlo Fisichella.
McLaren—it feels like Mercedes hasn't quite nailed that V8 engine to be both fast and reliable yet. Even though I’m more of a fan of Juan Pablo Montoya, I suspect Kimi Räikkönen will come out on top there.
Toyota—they strike me as a potential dark horse where Jarno Trulli might just shine.
BMW—nothing to say for them yet this season, but I'm predicting more progress from Nick Heidfeld, and I'd give him the edge over his teammate.
Red Bull—honestly, they seem to be here mostly for the marketing; I see them sitting mid-pack with maybe an occasional podium. David Coulthard will likely be the standout performer.
Squadra Toro Rosso—they'll probably languish at the bottom; the regulations will likely squeeze them by limiting those V10 engines, leaving them to basically serve as a billboard for Red Bull nonsense and a training ground for young drivers.
Midland—they'll be fighting STR for third place from behind, and Vitantonio Liuzzi is my pick for the stronger driver.
Super Aguri—the pure bringers of chaos and destruction! I’m still not entirely sure how they even got cleared to race, but I expect Takuma Sato to make some kind of impact—though I won't specify how.
Aaron Gonzalez6 said:I don't see it that way—let him play through the pain if he has to, we've only got two games left before it's all over. I was actually standing right by the goal when... (actually, let's just leave that unsaid so I don't jinx anyone...)
The guy’s been playing the whole tournament injured and under constant pressure—it would honestly be a blessing to have someone step in so he can finally get some rest...
If we can get more than one player firing on all cylinders at the same time—and if we actually play our game—there isn't a single team out there that can touch us. That’s just the sheer power of this roster...
That was definitely weird—something felt off. Oh, wait—everything went smoothly, so that must be why. I didn't need to spend those last ten minutes fearing for my life...
I’m officially taking back everything negative I said about Losert during those first two games. This Blazic guy is a total liability—honestly, even if he played defense through the finals, he wouldn't have racked up double-digit steals.
