goldenranger20 said:@ Elizabeth Brown90—hang on, maybe there's just a glitch in the system and it'll show up... if it really sat at the local post office for only two days and you have proof, you should definitely try filing a formal complaint with USPS.

I don't have physical proof right this second, but honestly, it doesn't take a genius to connect the dots here.🤷
It was shipped out Tuesday from San Diego, arrived Wednesday, and then by Monday it was already being sent back to me! That means they basically tossed it back on Friday after only two days because Saturday and Sunday obviously don't count for mail delivery...😢

Now the tracking is acting like it’s been "in transit" since Tuesday again... I mean, seriously, I don't even know what to think anymore! ☕
More drama with HP again😠
I missed my delivery from the local hub because I never got a notification and the mail carrier didn't even bother stopping by! It was sent right back after just two days, even though it’s supposed to sit at the post office for five...👎>
So, they tried reshipping it three days ago, but still nothing! Usually, all my other packages arrive within 24 hours without fail, but this one is just being difficult. I actually swung by the post office today hoping my little package might be just sitting there gathering dust, but nope, nothing to see here😢>
Honestly, what am I even supposed to do at this point? I wouldn't be shocked if some other user on here messaged me tomorrow saying their order got sent back too...😠>
Melissa Morgan77 said:...I'm hearing this for the first time, so I figured I'd double-check here! This girl wants me to ship shoes to her in a box, but she’s insisting on using the USPS standard mail $2.00. She's suggesting I just use a tiny little box like the one she uses to send them. Has anyone actually tried doing it that way? Is that even doable?🤔

Unless those shoes are just tiny little keychains, haha!😁

Standard shipping rates are based on weight, right? A pair of shoes in a box is definitely going to push you over that 1 lb mark, so your USPS cost would probably end up being around $5.75....plus, they might not even want to take it as regular mail since it's basically a package at that point...🤷

So, I just had one more quick question—where could I maybe grab a box, or even just buy one? Like, can you pick something like that up at the local Post Office? Oh man, 🙂

Honestly, you might not even need a whole box... just grab some of that heavy-duty brown kraft paper, wrap it up really well, tape it tight, and tie it off with some twine👍
And if you really want a box, you can usually find one at a local corner store or a small grocery shop; they're always tossing them out anyway🤷
velvetwolf82 said:Hey everyone, I could really use a little hand here! 🙏
Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere else... 😉

Since this is my first time sending out a pretty big shipment, I was wondering how I should handle a heavy down jacket. Should I just toss it in a bag and then slide that into a cardboard box? What’s the usual drill at the post office? I need to send this package over to San Francisco.

Thanks so much for any help you can give! 🙏

Just put it in a box, wrap it up nicely, maybe add some packing tape, and write the value right under your address $33. When you get to the post office, just tell them it's a parcel and they'll guide you through it—it should be $4.25😉
Oh man, I'm in such a rushhhhhh!🙂

Does anyone know what the shipping rate is for sending a package over to Canada?
MRI waiting lists: How to get seen faster? in Health ·
Has anyone here actually gone through an MRI of the brain at the Mayo Clinic lately? I’m trying to figure out what the damage is going to be like cost-wise and how long the waitlist is looking...
Alex Scott14 said:it’s not even really about the post 😁

I just can't seem to find that green and red user list somewhere on here! Does anyone know where it went?

🤦😬
It should be right underneath this thread...🤣
analograven5 said:Hmm, well, when I go to pick up a package—you know, like a certified letter or a parcel that I’d usually pay extra for—$1.75 if they just bring it right to my doorstep, there's no extra fee, but if I head down to the local USPS office to grab it myself, I don't pay anything extra at all.🤷

I have to admit, I'm feeling a little let down by the postal service today. So, I was sending out two certified letters (the contents definitely didn't warrant full parcel shipping!), weighing in at about 47g and 177g including the padded envelopes, and I ended up paying $3.25 and 12, $1.75. Just a simple local delivery within Atlanta-Atlanta.
If I had just sent them both as standard packages instead, it would have only cost me $3.00, plus they'd charge the recipient an additional $1.75 for the delivery service.😕 Honestly, I'm sitting here wondering... 🤷 who's actually being crazy here? Who's confused, and who's just totally clueless?
How on earth is it cheaper for me, the sender, to send something as a package—which actually has an insurance value they have to pay out if it gets lost—rather than just sending it as a certified letter? If anyone actually understands how this works, please, help a girl out with an explanation! Thanks! 🙏

It's cheaper because they charge for the delivery service.$1.75 So in the end, it levels out, but the main thing is that it's just more budget-friendly for you as the sender.😉
$1.75They charge a DELIVERY fee, but if you're the one trekking down to the post office to pick up your package, there's no delivery fee involved, so they don't charge it.$1.75
Alex Scott14 said:I really need some help here!

Does anyone know roughly how much shipping costs from NYC-Chicago to a destination for a package containing shoes?

I’m thinking it’ll be at least $20 or so... and if I remember correctly, when you're sending packages outside of CA, you usually have to go through a specific window at the main post office—like, there's a separate entrance just for international stuff instead of the regular domestic line...😉
emergency!!!!!
Does anyone know what time the main post office on Branimirov stays open for customers? I mean the main entrance, specifically for sending registered mail
Amanda Brooks6 said:I was wondering how much it would cost to send a small 2kg box via certified mail...
I really need an answer ASAP!
Thanks!

Are we talking about a standard package or certified mail?
If you declare the value, just sending it as a regular package will be around $33 pt, but if you go with certified, it’ll probably run you about $4.25... though you have to make sure it doesn't weigh even a tiny bit over that 2 kg limit!$8.00 😉
Sandra Brooks91 said:Ugh, there are just so many reasons, and honestly, we’ve talked about this a million times since I started having to deal with those extra fees whenever I head down to Branimirov—whether it's paying for a tram or hunting for parking, it's such a time sink... but the absolute biggest kicker? Someone already paid for the shipping to be sent directly to my house instead of the post office, and they paid it fairly! So, being forced to pay more just to get my own stuff? It feels like a total rip-off, and I just can't wrap my head around why they think it's okay... Sigh... 🙂

I totally agree, it really does feel like highway robbery! That's exactly why I refuse to give them those extra $1.75 bucks. Besides, no matter where I'm headed, I usually pass right by the main hub anyway, so swinging by the post office isn't even a big deal for me!🙂
Sandra Brooks91 said:It’s probably best if we just head over to the pickup location ourselves to grab the package right away...

Honestly, it would be absolutely perfect if you didn't even have to deal with shipping fees at all!☕

I really don't get why people find it such a massive chore to just get up and swing by the local Post Office...🤷
🙄
boldwalker16 said:Of course I have to get this sent out this week... I really need to cover the costs for my subscription package! $1.75 Whenever my mail carrier swings by the house, it’s such a vibe—honestly, it’s exactly how things work back in a big city like Chicago. I know out here on the coast it might be a little different, but where I'm from, it’s totally normal for the mailman to drop off a package and then just hang out for a second to grab a quick coffee or a drink with you... everyone ends up happy and it just makes the day feel complete! 😍

Of course you don't have to pay! It's totally fine... honestly, don't even worry about it! $1.75 I mean, you can honestly just head down to the local Post Office yourself to pick up your package... it’s such an easy way to save a little extra cash! $1.75
nimblepanther27 said:Hey, I really need a quick answer on this... anyone around?
I'll be sending the money over Monday morning via online banking from either State Farm or Chase, but I've been wondering... will it actually land on the same day, or am I looking at waiting until Tuesday? Does anyone know what determines that timing? It always feels like such a guessing game sometimes...
Thanks!🙏

I honestly think it all just comes down to timing, you know? It makes a huge difference whether someone hits "send" at 10:00 AM or if they're trying to settle up at 7:00 PM... things just move differently at night! Plus, there's the whole bank situation to consider. When you're dealing with different institutions—like sending money from Chase over to State Farm—it’s naturally going to take a little longer to clear. It's just common sense, really...😍
boldwalker16 said:So, it’s Red Cross Week again, though I honestly can't quite wrap my head around the whole concept... it’s not like I’m about to start sobbing or anything, but still... $0.52Honestly, it just feels so silly that I'm being *forced* to hand this over. Like, if someone actually asked me, sure, I’d probably be totally fine with it, but being ordered around like this? I just don't get what they're thinking... it makes zero sense! Anyway... $1.75 Honestly, when you get a package delivered straight to your doorstep without any tracking number or anything... man, the USPS just steals them whenever they feel like it! It's such a joke... 👎

You don't even need to send anything this week, and you definitely don't have to worry about any payments right now... everything is totally covered! $1.75 Regarding that package...🤷
Since it’s Red Cross Week this week, they’re adding an extra $0.52
to the shipping costs on every single order... turns out it goes toward a good cause!

Supposedly around 12,500 people...😉
QUICK QUESTION!!!!!!
Does anyone know if there's actually a seat number on these tickets? I just scored two passes for the VIP lounge at Madison Square Garden, but there isn't a single seat number listed anywhere...😕
I need to ship some stuff over to Canada, just some general merchandise—nothing too heavy or fragile... does anyone have an idea of what the shipping costs might look like? Also, I'm trying to figure out if it’s actually worth it to send it as a standard package or if I should go with registered mail to be safe...
