Chloe Moore65 said:Honestly, your best bet is to tuck it into a small box and wrap it really well in bubble wrap! If you can't find a tiny box, maybe try a padded mailer... but just keep in mind if it’s heavy, shipping via USPS Priority Mail might end up costing you a bit more since you're paying for the weight $4.25

Ugh, those people at the shipping centers just toss packages around like they don't matter🙄
I always ship my stuff as a package, and it honestly breaks my heart seeing them chucking boxes onto those conveyor belts without even glancing at the "fragile" sticker... like, hello? Does anyone actually care if it's breakable inside? 🙄
What’s the absolute best way to mail a perfume? I was thinking about wrapping it in some bubble wrap, tucking it into an envelope, and just sending it via certified mail... does anyone have a ballpark idea of what that might cost me?🤔
Chloe Moore65 said:but I already suggested we just round it up to 13

Oh, totally, but honestly, it feels so silly to actually drive all the way down to Chase and try to make a deposit like that...$34🤷
Elizabeth Baker38 said:Maybe they’re just doing that for local shipments within the same zip code. Last time I checked, it was around $10.70.
Every single package I sent out last week ended up costing me about twelve bucks and some change.

Oh man, seriously? When it was $14.40 we used to just round it up to $15, but if this is happening now... what are we even supposed to do?!😕
Chloe Moore65 said:Maybe if it's within the same city, like going from downtown Chicago to downtown Chicago, it's just $12.27. Honestly, I've already paid that exact amount twice now...

They actually have Zone I and Zone II... Zone II is $9.27!🤷
I was just browsing the website and noticed they've updated the shipping rates for anything under 5 kg $3.00....is this a new thing?🤔
Man, those schedules really did get swapped around on us, didn't they? 🤔
So, what's the final verdict, anyway...?
Wait, hold on... why on earth are these two teams playing two days in a row?🤷
Sandra Brooks91 said:Not at all! First off, you're looking at cash on delivery rather than an insured package. Also, just head over to www.usps.com and use their calculator—you can figure out everything you need right there. Cash on delivery is when you send the item, they collect the money from the recipient, and then the mail carrier brings that cash back to you later.

It looks like I’ll have to make another trip to the post office, I totally forgot to ask them... I know cash on delivery is pricey, but I honestly thought an insured package worked differently. I was thinking the post office would just pay me directly, and the person receiving it would pay them that amount, instead of them carrying a package to her and then bringing her money back to me...
Elizabeth Brown90 said:I'm trying to wrap my head around how insured shipping actually works and what the damage is to my wallet! If I'm understanding this right, when I drop a package off at the USPS, they basically hand me the full value of the contents right then and there, and that's it for me. Then, once the recipient gets the box, they just pay that same amount to the post office...
It honestly sounds way too good to be true... I bet those insurance fees for high-value stuff are absolutely insane!

Anyone know??😢
I’ve been wondering about how sending insured packages actually works, and honestly, what does it even cost? If I'm understanding this right, once I drop a package off at the post office, they basically hand me cash equal to the value of the contents, and then we're all done... then, when the recipient gets their hands on it, they pay that same amount to the postal service.
It just sounds way too good to be true... I bet they charge a massive premium for shipping stuff like that!
Hey everyone, I could really use some help here... does anyone know if those Red Cross stamps are just for packages, or do they apply to all shipments too (like registered vs. standard mail)? thanks!
So, does the main office over on Broadway definitely open at 7 AM? I’m talking specifically about the drop-off window for packages... just trying to plan ahead so I don't end up lugging two massive bags all across town on Monday morning...
Does anyone know if you actually have to pay for a package when you pick it up at the UPS Store? I just got into this huge argument with my older uncle because I didn't want to hand over $3.25 for two different packages, and he was insisting that I have to pay $1.00 per item at the counter. I honestly don't know if he's right or not, but he got so worked up about it... I feel terrible, I really shouldn't have let things get so heated with an older gentleman like him🙂

By the way, did she ever get that whole mess with her checking account sorted out?
I'm actually really curious to hear what ended up happening...

Ugh, honestly, it was in this tiny little rural town somewhere in the Midwest where the tellers at the bank and the folks at the post office probably didn't even finish high school, so don't be surprised! In the end, she just drove over to Chase, paid the fee$1.75 and deposited it right into her Wells Fargo account.
And before all that headache, they wouldn't even let her make the deposit at Bank of America (can you believe the nerve? You can do it at Chase but not at BofA!)
Man, if I had been there, I would have just handled it myself—the lady working at the bank is a total powerhouse, she’d probably walk it over to Bank of America if she had to...of course...😠
Does anyone know where I can pick up some twine for tying up packages? I am absolutely not dropping off a $3.25 twenty-second errand just to have them tell me it's not wrapped right... I'd rather just drive all the way to Chicago myself! I'm thinking they're going to demand it be tied up since the box is a bit bulky, and honestly, I don't trust them to wrap my stuff for me anyway.

I know all about that one too, but it seems like they're looking for something else entirely because what they have right now just isn't cutting it for them...
Help, I need this ASAP!!!!!
Does anyone know the routing number for Chase Bank?
A friend is trying to wire me some cash through the Post Office, but they're asking for the specific account info from Chase...
Does anyone know how much it costs if I go to the Post Office to deposit cash directly into my checking account? Besides having to grab one of those deposit slips, is there an extra fee involved, and if so, how much are we talking about?
