Best of luck with the kids 👍 hang in there, but please don't starve yourself. You’ve got to stay active; diet alone just doesn't cut it... exercise is key. For instance, maybe pick a specific route—like your commute to work or back home—and walk it at a brisk pace. And for heaven's sake, take the stairs... it works, eventually... it's not instant, but it adds up over time... if you're looking for those "crash diet" results, just know the weight will come right back... so, patience is everything. And stay off the scale!!! More small meals, plenty of fruit, lots of water—especially now since it's summer... just sip slowly, constantly, don't let yourself get dehydrated...

just stick to it... 👍

if you slip up once in a while, don't sweat it. Just keep moving forward, no need for the heavy guilt trips...

you have my support 👋

stormymaker24 said:oh, yeah, the classic story.
What really got under my skin during all of this was how my gym teachers used to look at me with such pure disgust if I couldn't participate... they’d just claim it wasn't an actual illness, that it was just "that time of the month," and that I was making it all up.
And, yeah, nobody could wrap their heads around why it hurt me so much. The consensus was always that I was just being weak, that I needed to grit my teeth and get over it. Sometimes I honestly felt like people thought I was faking it just to skip school. Or whatever.

And one more thing—I had a nurse in the ER try to "comfort" me once by saying: "Well, at least now you know what labor feels like!" 😵 🤣

I totally get it. Even today, so many people think we're just exaggerating pain for whatever reasons they can dream up. Very few people actually understand... as if I actually *enjoy* lying in bed for three days straight feeling like I'm dying. If I have responsibilities, I take two Advil right at the start, before the intensity peaks, then one every 4-5 hours as it starts to taper off... maybe four pills total... and even then, the pain isn't gone, it's just down to a level I've gotten used to...
So, yeah, I don't exactly have a magic potion to make the pain vanish 😠 —if I did, I'd > find it... especially if it were something all-natural 😁 but hey, at least we have basic painkillers for first aid...

Scott Allen10 said:Man, someone has really been feeding you some total nonsense! Honestly, you should just give that person a piece of your mind and tell them they're being ridiculous. Any argument here isn't even really about you, it's about whoever is spreading that kind of misinformation in the first place.
You can't exactly see "acidity under a microscope," so that's just not how it works. Besides, that's not even the point of this conversation.
The real deal is that acidosis—whether it's respiratory or metabolic (those are the only two ways it happens)—is a serious metabolic disorder that needs heavy-duty medical attention based on the cause, and we're talking about something much more significant than the "Gatorade-level" stuff being discussed in this thread.

The whole blood type diet thing? Total nonsense.

And that "quick acidity test" via dark urine? That's just plain stupid. Dark urine is usually just a sign of dehydration (hemoconcentration), whereas drinking plenty of fluids will make it almost totally clear. Plus, the kidneys are incredibly sophisticated organs that use complex mechanisms to maintain homeostasis, so claiming "dark urine equals high acidity" is about as logical as saying puddles form after rain because the raindrops hit the ground so hard... roughly speaking.

haha, yeah, I know, you're right, I totally realized it was all garbage 😬 ...but people try things, I guess... I just went along with it to see what they'd say... and honestly, half of it is a blur now
best,

So, I went for one of those tests where they draw some blood and run it under a microscope... apparently, it showed my acidity levels were up... but then they tried to push this whole "eat according to your blood type" diet on me—which, honestly, I’m not buying. They also mentioned it’s a quick way to gauge what’s going on inside, suggesting that if your urine is dark, your acidity is high... though, of course, color can be influenced by whatever you've eaten lately, and your internal state shifts every single day depending on your diet and how much water you're actually drinking...
Angela Wright said:Look, you're clearly in a high-risk category if you've already started dealing with stuff like that down there. You need to make some urgent changes in your life, and honestly, start by ditching the cigarettes. It feels like your body is just screaming at you that things aren't right, and now it's showing up in your testicles. Just listen to it before it hits you hard.
