Honestly, there’s nothing to be sad about—it’s a total happy ending! Like she would have been any happier stuck out in the bush?
Anyway, I was watching this interview with Corey Hoffman from back in '86, and the reality was a bit different than what people think. She actually moved back to Switzerland with Stephen, sold everything off, and then, if I remember right, headed to Kenya about six months later.
They hadn't seen each other for 18 years. Then, just two years ago, right when her book finally brought in some decent money🤣 she went to visit him for the first time since then. She won't let her daughter go see him just yet, though—she says maybe later.🙄
All in all, according to her, the sex wasn't nearly as wild as they made it look in the movie, and he had a few other women on the side too. Plus, he isn't exactly a heartthrob like Jackie Ida.😁
