There’s a pretty huge distinction between a driver not being installed versus the system simply not finding the device at all... if you're using USB Implementers Forum cables, maybe give them a swap and see if that helps.

And to make matters worse, printing isn't working even when I try to run jobs directly from the operating system.
So, I’m having a bit of an issue with my work computer. It’s been acting up lately—actually, it seems to be happening more frequently now—and it’s driving me a little crazy. Basically, my setup involves being connected to two different printers, but every once in a while, when I go to print something, the system just tells me that no printers are installed or even detected.
The weird thing about it is that it isn't constant; sometimes everything works perfectly fine, and it gives me the full list of available printers to choose from, but then other times, it just acts like nothing is there at all.
If anyone has any idea what might be causing this kind of glitch, I would really appreciate some help.
