Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Tyler Carter93 said:fine, whatever...
can someone point me toward where I can pick up
this 30x30g bundle?
I'm a minor, so I can't use a credit card
or buy anything online.
tell me where I can walk in with cash
to grab this? somewhere in Chicago, close to downtown.

hmm... maybe a GNC? 🤷

edit: and why wouldn't his protein last him three months?
I pull 40g after my workouts, which is basically every other day... why would anyone be burning through 60g a day?

Jack Phillips37 said:Hey... I just started training and I'm wondering what supplements I should take if I want to pack on muscle as fast as possible?

Weights, chicken, and oatmeal. 😉
Beyond that, just some whey protein and glucose right after you hit the weights. Grab a scoop of whey and maybe 60 grams of glucose—you can find dextrose powder at a place like GNC or even a local health food store.

Casein digests at a crawl, so you'd probably want to take it right before hitting the sack or maybe use it as a meal replacement when you can't get a real bite in.

Peter Richardson6 said:I'm about 6'1" and 163 lbs, and struggling to pack on weight just eating regular meals, so I'm wondering which of these two proteins (MEGA MASS, WHEY, or whatever else) I should useto hit 175-185 lbs.

You gave me a bit of a laugh here😁
Forget the mega mass immediately; just take 30-40 grams of whey along with 60 grams of glucose (grape sugar) after your workout...
Post your meal plan so we can actually tell if you're struggling to gain weight or if you're just not eating enough.😉

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on whether consuming protein powder past its expiration date is actually harmful. Specifically, is there a real risk of it going bad if it was stored correctly in a cool, dry place?

Thanks in advance!

Look, I eat moldy cottage cheese, so I’d probably just power through it too... though I have to ask, how on earth did you let your protein expire? 🙄
Next time you find yourself with extra whey lying around, just give me a shout, okay? 😉

I'm trying to track down a specific supplement
The whole ordering process is becoming a bit of a headache, so if anyone here handles supplement sourcing or is selling anything, 😁 please shoot me a DM so we can hash out the details and price😉

Hopefully this isn't too far off-topic, I just couldn't find a thread specifically for this kind of thing.
Thanks, catch you later.😉

What are you looking for? AAS? 😬

Bradley Fisher56 said:Right, thanks for clarifying... so you're telling me that just slamming protein shakes won't do squat if my actual diet is a complete mess?

Precisely. 😉

Bradley Fisher56 said:Hold on, I’m confused—are we talking about the actual volume of food hitting my plate, or the specific macro breakdown like protein and carbs found within that food?

Food equals proteins, carbs, and fats.
It all depends on what you're actually putting in your mouth.

Your best bet is to head over to an American bodybuilding forum and just read through the entire FAQ from top to bottom.

Bradley Fisher56 said:Can someone please help me out here? I need some advice.

I'm fifteen years old, rowing for about an hour and a half to two hours every single day, and I weigh around 165 lbs. I haven't really messed with protein supplements yet, so I'm wondering which one would be the best bet if I want to pack on some muscle mass. Thanks.

Whey protein... look, just drinking whey isn't going to magically build you muscle. It's not some kind of miracle powder.

I haven't checked this forum in four months, so I figured I'd jump back into the thread. ^^

I've got a question...
Is there anyone training Drunken Fist (Zui Quan) in the city or maybe somewhere nearby?😕
Amalgam issues: what are your thoughts? in Health ·
If that stuff were actually as toxic as people claim, I would’ve kicked the bucket a long time ago, considering I’m sitting here with four fillings already...
Besides, silver amalgam loses its toxicity over time anyway. At least, that's what we were taught back in high school chemistry class 😬—on some good days, at any rate.
Scalp issues in Health ·
It’s an incredibly irritating and uncomfortable ordeal... has anyone else dealt with this? I’m looking for ways to actually get rid of it. I went to see a specialist once and ended up being prescribed some "treatment" that was outrageously expensive—cost me about $117—but it didn't do a damn thing. Eventually, I picked up some ketoconazole shampoo at a local CVS, and that actually worked; the dandruff vanished. I stopped buying it because the problem seemed solved, but then it came crawling back. Now I’ve bought the shampoo again, except this time, the flakes aren't retreating quite so easily.
Let's get a discussion going. Any advice? 😁

How is it even possible to be sitting at 103 pounds and 5'7"? 😕 Maybe try actually eating something for once...
