briskhound76 said:After sitting out for a few seasons, the Write-off squad is finally making their comeback. If they’re actually serious about this, signing one of the most seasoned and high-profile drivers on the grid briskhound76—who also happens to be one of the team's founders—proves it. With the team returning, there are plenty of other updates coming your way over the next few days.

Now that we've already introduced briskhound76... the team is hunting for another driver to fill that vacant seat and help get this outfit back to where they belong. So, consider this our official announcement that we are looking for a second driver.

If you're still riding the free agent market and think you have what it takes to push us toward a double championship, you're more than welcome to step up.👍

🙏 😁

So, what happened to our buddy Max?! 😁

There's no President left, and certainly none of those wonderful posts from him.

Check it out here. There's a new poll.

Try to pick the right one this time.

ruggedhawk20 said:Well, we’re going even harder than that—if only George Russell had actually won.

Because he proved anyone can win in that car. But more importantly, he proved Mercedes will do absolutely anything—even screw themselves over for extra points they don't even need—just to keep up the illusion that Lewis Hamilton is the GOAT.

Anyone with half a brain sees that Russell didn't just finish eighth yesterday; Mercedes practically shoved him into eighth place. And they did it twice. Russell—who is a totally mid driver—could have won in the most dominant car in Formula 1 history despite one intentional pit stop blunder. They literally had to mess up twice just to pull him in.

See, Russell has given us plenty of proof to realize that Lewis reached all those records simply because he's driving the most dominant car ever and gets absolute preferential treatment from the team because he's good for marketing. He's a handsome, well-spoken guy who dominates the media and social feeds effortlessly. Of course, they're going to let him dominate the track, too. Lewis is indeed the GOAT—but not for his driving, for his influencer game. He's the best influencer among drivers and the best driver among influencers. He's leagues above a Handball player, but barely reaches the ankles of Niki Lauda.

So yeah, we've got more than enough reason to go wild. And we'll be doing it for a long, long time. You can read it or you can ignore it—whatever. Your call.

Yeah, moments like this make enduring the rest of the season worth it. 🙏 🙏 🙏 😁

Save those pirate stories for someone else—we want the real dirt on how the captain absolutely wrecked Pilatus in the lower decks. Tell us how he left him covered in white lime.

I guess that’s really the only thing you and Pilatus are interested in reading.

If everyone is fed up with someone who’s basically known for trolling and has a history of being problematic, then maybe they should just be kicked from the subforum and call it a day.

But the thing is, it's not true for everyone. 😉

For those of you who are actually annoyed, you have the lovely option of clicking "ignore." 🤷

Signed.

I guess I don't really see what all the fuss about Pontius Pilate is either. 🤷

I guess it would've been better if Louie had the final say here instead of Pitwall. 😁

Quote: Pitwall Alright, we’re staying out. We’re staying out—just need to get that confirmed over the radio.

Lewis: Well, this isn't great. Those tires have completely lost their heat. I guess everyone is going to be forced onto the option compounds now.

Quote: Pitwall Understood. I'm ready to go. Box, box. Box, box.

Understood. I'm ready to go.

WE will be boxing the end of the lap.
We are staying out now. Staying out. Staying out.

Just one message after another.

😵

They seemed way too focused on making sure Lewis Stay positive 🤣

- Keep positive, and you're staying out.

So they stay out. And you just stay positive
(😁)

Lewis Hamilton: Are you sure staying out is the right call??

- Nope, WE will be boxing the end of the lap, so just stay positive (😁) We're going to go an extra turn and a half for the option tire, unless you tell us otherwise (😁)

- Okay Lewis, just give us pit confirm.

- OK, so we are staying out now. (🤣) Staying out, staying out. Just confirm on the radio.

Lewis Hamilton: Guys, this isn't good. These tires have completely lost temperature. Everyone else is going to be on options by now.

- Okay. Copy, copy. Box, box. Box, box. 😁

Lewis Hamilton: What happened, guys? Guys, what happened?!

I've lost this race, haven't I? Haven't I?

One of the better examples of team radio 🍿 😬

Hey everyone.

Oh man, I missed your email, and I don't even have that old cell number anymore! Didn't you get an automated message saying the number was out of service?

Thanks for holding onto the photo and the autograph for me; I'll check my email tonight and get back to you.🙂

The guys on the pit wall have a much better vantage point and more data than the drivers do. They see things that just aren't visible from the cockpit. Honestly, they should have stepped in and stopped him.
Honestly, it seems like they’re just gripped by pure terror over there. It's like if Lewis Hamilton so much as sneezes, they start shaking, and if he actually coughs, they lose their minds and panic—which I guess explains why people are acting this stupid.

I agree, absolutely—they really should have stepped in to stop him.

I mean, yeah, in a way, Lewis Hamilton kind of paid the price yesterday for the sheer level of status he holds within the team. 😁

Look, that was all just for show, I suppose. Next time they'll hopefully be a bit smarter about it. And honestly, maybe Lewis Hamilton will finally learn not to play guessing games about where Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg are, and just ask properly instead. Because, well... If you ask me, there's no point in making a fuss about boxing. It's just not worth the effort. 😁

Gary Palmer8 said:I guess it's pretty obvious how much people love Lewis Hamilton. 🙂 Everyone seems to be trying to shift the blame onto some incompetent pit wall official who made the final call to bring the driver in for a stop.

Look, I’m not trying to pin the whole blame on Lewis Hamilton here. I think it's more about just analyzing how this entire fiasco actually happened. 😁

And even though he’s never really been my favorite driver—mostly because of his personality—I still have to say... 😁I have to admit, though, it looked like someone finally gave him a crash course in PR yesterday. He actually seemed to know what to say and how to carry himself, especially when things started getting stressful. 👍 Kudos to Luigi's psychologist. 😁

I was reading through those diplomatic responses he gave at the press conference last night; I guess he handled himself pretty well. It seems like everyone is finally getting on the same page. It’s about time we saw some sort of united front. I guess you could say he deserves some credit for his dedication to the crew. Though, let's be honest, there's zero doubt he didn't actually mean any of it. 🤣

neonfalcon16 said:So, did Mercedes sabotage their own driver and alienate the entire fanbase just to manufacture some fake tension, push the second driver forward, or was it just a massive tactical blunder? 😕

It’s not like Mercedes actively stopped Lewis Hamilton from sabotaging himself. I guess you could look at it that way. 😁

Lewis was the one calling for the pit stop, and maybe the team just buckled under the pressure instead of pushing back on his strategy. That's all there is to it. I don't think there's any conspiracy going on, unfortunately. 😁

graniteharbor502 said:I'll pull out a piece of Lewis Hamilton's response:
I saw a screen, it looked like the team was out and I thought that Nico Rosberg had pitted. Obviously I couldn't see the guys behind so I thought the guys behind were pitting. The team said to stay out, I said “these tyres are going to drop in temperature,” and what I was assuming was that these guys would be on Options and I was on the harder tyre. So, they said to pit. without thinking i came in with full confidence that The others Had Dona The same.

So, the team told him to stay out. It was probably just a misunderstanding. He could have easily just asked if his rivals had already pitted.

Yeah, interesting. The team told him to stay out, but since he was convinced at that moment that both Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel were pitting, he basically spiraled—starting to push back over the radio and complaining about his tires losing temperature and all that. Because he was whining, the crew likely assumed Lewis Hamilton was desperate to pit and was cracking under the pressure. 😬 And honestly, he probably was complaining, considering he was certain the other two were in the pits. It seems like the team just got confused in all the chaos; they were probably trying too hard to please Lewis Hamilton and didn't realize he was just overthinking things and spinning out. 😬
