Women with masculine physical traits in Health ·
rustyheron13 said:It’s not exactly a death sentence, but it's certainly not stage four cancer, HIV, or some incurable autoimmune disease either. If you really want a horror movie, try walking through an oncology ward. I worked at one for a while, believe me—some people are carrying burdens that would break anyone.

A huge chunk of people deal with health issues, whether minor or major, but you can't just label yourself by your condition. You have to work on fixing what you can and try to accept the rest so you can actually live a normal life.

Is it easy? Hell no. In this world, the easiest thing to be is young, healthy, rich, and beautiful.

Yeah, except the thing is, even if this won't kill you, it carries a massive social stigma. Just look at the tabloids; they'll run a photo of some celebrity on a beach in Malibu, show three stray hairs catching the sunlight on her leg, and headline it with "Star Zvjezdić forgets to wax!" Or some columnist writes that she didn't go for a Brazilian, and suddenly everyone is talking about her lack of "hygiene." Seriously, if having hair down there is unhygienic, then what does that make a hairy face, stomach, or back?

The beauty industry makes billions off waxing, shaving, bleaching, and laser removal... if this wasn't such a massive issue like some people act it is, they wouldn't have a dime.

To the author: do some digging or Google the cream Vaniqa.
Heart palpitations in Health ·
Alex Patel96 said:I dealt with them when I was 18. On the surface, it looked like I wasn't doing anything at all—just lounging around😁—but my mind was working overtime.🙂 Back then, I didn't even realize I was actually falling apart from all the stress I was dealing with. I honestly wondered how I was managing to stay so calm.😍

I'm not sure what's going on in your specific case...

Oh, and I've ended up in the ER myself. My issues were a bit more serious than just heart palpitations, but stress was definitely the culprit.

Stress, stress, stress. I mean, who isn't stressed? What am I supposed to do, move to a lighthouse in Hawaii or go live in the woods? Sign up for yoga classes or hire a life coach? 😁

Is there any way for doctors to tell if the cause is physical or psychological? Like, should I even bother seeing them?
Heart palpitations in Health ·
For the last few days, my heart has been racing out of nowhere several times a day, making me feel like I just sprinted up seven flights of stairs. Sometimes it’s a bit slower, sometimes faster—my pulse jumps anywhere from 70 to 120. (Just for context, my resting heart rate is usually around 70-80, and I haven't really exercised in three years since I have a pretty sedentary lifestyle). My blood pressure is typically around 85/45, and I think the only side effect of that is getting lightheaded whenever I stand up too fast. These palpitations feel like my heart is literally going to jump out of my chest 😲, though I don't think I actually have an arrhythmia. I don't drink alcohol or coffee, I don't smoke, and I don't do drugs, but I definitely don't eat particularly healthy either (though I'm not overweight).

I usually live a pretty high-stress, fast-paced life, but I'm actually off work this week and have zero obligations. It's happening even when I'm just sitting around, taking walks, playing cards, or window shopping—basically, nothing mentally or physically taxing at all.

Are palpitations dangerous for someone under 25? And what should I do when I feel them happening?
Liquid oxygen in Health ·
Aaron Harris93 said:I heard liquid oxygen is actually amazing, so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can pick some up around here (Washington, D.C., USA).
Since there's so little of it in the air and it's used to treat all sorts of illnesses, it seems like a GREAT thing to incorporate into a daily routine.

😲😲😲

Good grief, are you serious?! Did you skip science class entirely? What on earth were you doing in chemistry lab?

And don't even get me started on the hydrogen peroxide stuff! Just try using some hair bleach cream and leave it on your skin for a few extra minutes—you'll see how "beneficial" that is... and that’s only a 2-3% concentration...

wiredharbor22 said:Hmm, I think I'd feel a bit silly walking into a psychologist's office just to say my fingers are ugly. 😕 I might as well mention my parents don't love me while I'm at it. 🤷

It's not a bad idea, actually. I've thought about it quite a bit, but everyone who knows me tells me I'm just overreacting and that there's no reason to see a therapist...🤷

@copperrider20: Aren't flat feet considered a problem? Personally, I don't think they would throw my balance off that much.

@wearygardener19: No crude finger jokes come to mind, though I could certainly find ways to bring myself down with them.😢

That's what I'm trying to say! It was just worded a little clunky. The point is, they matter—they really impact your health.

btw from Wikipedia
The anatomy of the human foot consists of numerous bones and soft tissues which support the weight of the upright human. The toes specifically assist the human while walking[2], providing balance, weight-bearing, and thrust during the gait.

wiredharbor22 said:a) How can I be sure? Honestly, my gait feels off already. Everything seems tilted inward. It might be because I refused to rely on those little weaklings...🤷

b) I saw that thread, but it feels like half of it is staged. Besides, you could just as easily obsess over other topics, like photos in magazines...🤷 Some people there have genuinely messed up feet, but mine are fine; it's just these damn things that bother me...🤷

It's actually pretty simple. You want to know why flat feet matter so much? It's because even a slight misalignment ruins your balance so badly that most people spend their entire lives relying on orthotics, hunting for "comfy" shoes, and avoiding walking on concrete all day.

Or take bunions, for example. You get fallen arches, and suddenly you're dealing with crooked big toes, protruding bone, and a dozen other issues.

And you know why those old ladies in Japan walk with that heavy stomp? Because they can't help it. Their feet were completely ruined by years of wearing those tiny shoes that crush your arches.
Toe Deformity Issues in Health ·
a) that would seriously mess with your balance—think about how much it’d screw up your ability to walk or run properly...

b) hey, go vent about it over on this thread:
Peeling skin on my feet? in Health ·
Bryan Clark10 said:Honestly, I think your best bet is just seeing a doctor. For the peeling skin on your feet, you might want to try an antifungal cream like Lotrimin (you can grab it at any CVS), but definitely talk to a professional about those bruises before doing anything else.

Skin peeling could be caused by anything from too much moisture to way too little, or even just a vitamin deficiency... and here you are jumping straight to suggesting an antifungal cream.

Interesting approach.

The woman mentioned something that happened ten damn years ago, and we’re supposed to call USATF on her for that? Who’s actually crazy here? ☕

Calling that a crime? Honestly, I can barely keep a straight face. She lost her cool at a kid once—didn't hit him, wasn't constantly screaming at him—and suddenly we're all talking about criminal charges. Give me a break with the drama. 🙄

My neighbor screams so loud every single day the whole block can hear her, and God knows what that's doing to her four kids. It happens EVERY day. And yeah, USATF definitely knows about it, yet I haven't seen anyone show up to take those kids away. Though, if you ask me, instead of taking the kids, they should just put her in a psych ward. It's Peaceful Canada when she's not around. ☕

So much for USATF. 🙄

p.s. I’m not making excuses for anything, but talking about "crimes" in this context is just ridiculous.

rapidrider3 said:If you had dealt with what I did, you'd be running door-to-door complaining too!!!

I wouldn't mind complaining if someone sent me a DM, but this??? It makes zero sense.

Angela Flores76, this isn't a thread about your neighbors, your opinions on American Law, or child services (I have no idea why you even brought that up since nobody mentioned it).
I'm simply saying that suggesting threats and yelling as a "cure" for bedwetting—and then throwing out cult-like theories about why kids wet the bed (while not even following them yourself)—is wrong legally, medically, and humanly. Especially when it's coming from someone acting like the ultimate moral authority on so many other topics. 🤷

And yeah, Lindy, I got an infraction just like you did.

rapidrider3 said:Can you please just stop following me around? And stop being such a nuisance? I know you're seeing him, but seriously, leave me alone.

Look, if you felt insulted because you filed that lawsuit against me, you’re basically just blowing up your own ego. It wasn't even aimed at you! I go out of my way to give you a wide berth, yet here you are, constantly breathing down my neck. Seriously, go find someone else to harass. Sound good?

And don't even get me started on the Law and criminal offenses. I couldn't care less about any of that. 🤣🤣

WTF, I didn't sue you. I got hit with an infraction too, I just don't run around whining about it like a child. 🤷

And what do you mean, "seeing him"? Is this another one of your crazy conspiracy theories?
Here's my take on this... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Angela Flores76 said:Just so you know, posts aren't permanently deleted—other users just can't see them anymore. But the PDF mods, sub-mods, and admins can still see everything, so there’s definitely a paper trail of exactly what was said and how it was written. 🙂

Also, honestly? I think those 45 points were totally uncalled for. It didn't look like you were attacking anyone on the Forum; it felt more like you were just commenting on the Law. 🙂

rapidrider3 said:First off, those posts were cleared and settled this morning, only to be dug up from somewhere else a few hours later just to hand out a punishment. To me, that’s beyond rude. It basically tells the other mod that they aren't doing their job right, which is pretty insulting to their work.

And just to add, the person in question hasn't even responded after four days of being asked to.

And secondly, yeah, when I said that, I was talking about that stupid American Law that gives kids way too much leeway, even though it's actually really poorly written.
My criticism was directed at the Law, not at anyone on the Forum, period.

On the Forum, it is forbidden to:

*
* justify or glorify criminal acts

The Law is like that all over Europe, and most of the rest of the world, too. Some places even have it stricter.

I’ve been sexually active with my boyfriend, and my period is consistently late. Even back when I was a virgin, it would be delayed by at least four or five days...
I am quite worried.😢(
We use protection most of the time, though not always... he has never actually finished inside me while we are using protection. He usually pulls out in time, only finishing about 10 seconds later. This month, however, I am nearly two weeks late. I don't have any typical pregnancy symptoms, yet the fear persists. It happened last month too—after intercourse, my period was about three weeks late before finally arriving. Currently, I am only experiencing white discharge and some minor pains in my lower abdomen. Could this be an indication that my period is imminent?
Please help me; answering this question is very important to me.🙂)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

gentlenomad77

How on earth can you be late every single time? 😕
How on earth did you figure out that your cycle actually runs about 4 or 5 days longer than you thought? Like, instead of the standard 28 days, it’s more like 32 or 33?
And it was always another four days away. You know, like 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48... and then in a few years, would it only happen once a year?

Pick up a test at the pharmacy.
b) Off to the gynecologist
Look, we don't exactly have any fortune tellers, psychics, or oracle prophets hanging around here on this forum. If anyone actually *does* have those skills, please, reach out and let me know!
My aunt actually went through this... she got hit pretty hard by the wind while riding her motorcycle out in a storm...
She ended up having to deal with injections for a month and doing facial exercises just to get her expressions back—she honestly looked a bit like my grandpa used to after his stroke...
She’s doing great now, though. That was a few years ago.

Look, your voice doesn't actually come from your mouth—it comes from your throat. Why don't you just shove some headphones down your larynx and let me know how it sounds? 😁
HELP PLEASE - constant binge eating... in Health ·
Whether you're snacking because you're bored or because you're feeling down and unfulfilled,

either way, my best advice is to get moving! Find a sport or some kind of active hobby so your mind isn't constantly drifting toward food. Get out of the house and hang with friends—but skip the fast food joints and coffee shops. Try riding bikes around the neighborhood instead.

At home, ask your parents to stop stocking up on candy bars, sweets, chips, and processed spreads. It helps if most of the food requires actual prep work, like cooking from scratch or peeling things like peanuts or seeds. It slows you down.

Also, definitely check in with your primary care doctor. Ask them for a referral to a therapist to talk things through, and have them run some blood work or hormone tests just to be safe.
If your parents aren't being supportive, or if it feels like you're just getting on their nerves, that’s going to make everything harder. Try talking to them openly about it, but if that doesn't work, stick to the guidance from your school counselor or your therapist.

Good luck!
