Richard Walker38 said:It’s wild how many young kids have ended up as the number two driver in a top-tier F1 team, effectively sidelining a multi-time champion within just the first two races. The most recent instance was when Lewis Hamilton did it to Fernando Alonso. This kid is clearly a generational talent.

The only reason Sebastian Vettel wasn't completely humiliated in the very first race was thanks to a quick pit stop, so naturally, people are feeling optimistic.

Personally, even though I don't root for Ferrari, my heart aches for them; however, as a dedicated hater of German engineering scams, I'll certainly find some joy in watching Leclerc's inevitable setbacks.

Honestly, I think I'm going to enjoy this season quite a bit.🎉

The kid possesses talent on par with Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, or Sebastian Vettel. He seems remarkably composed, which is a vital trait, and frankly, that is exactly what should be worrying Sebastian Vettel.
He isn't prone to mistakes and his ascent has been rapid. It took him a moment to adjust to F1 and outclass his teammate, but now he’s making quick progress at Ferrari as well. This is only his 23rd F1 race, yet he is already displaying enviable mental fortitude.
Def has both the mindset and the talent; we shall see just how high he can climb.

My prediction for today is a high pace because everyone is dialed in. I expect one of the Williams Racing drivers to be about two laps down.

Honestly, what is Lapdati even talking about regarding Charles Leclerc? He beats Sebastian Vettel once in qualifying and suddenly he's some kind of deity. I don't get the obsession. It’s a 21-race season; one single qualifying duel doesn't mean a damn thing.

For crying out loud, he beat Valtteri Bottas a few times and Lewis Hamilton too, yet nobody was calling him an alien back then.

Time will eventually reveal Charles Leclerc's true level.

Sebastian Vettel talks way too much; he’s just spinning his wheels and wasting everyone's time!!!

Ha ha, are you sleeping soundly, TBD? Are you getting a good night's rest, Sebastian Vettel?

Good grief. I honestly thought we wouldn't see this coming until we hit FC Barcelona, yet here we are. It’s happening already.
Go ahead, post that picture of the spider!!!
Richard Walker38 said:The pressure is on. There isn't any Kimi Räikkönen left in "beast mode" to just breeze through it anymore. Expect plenty of complaining over the radio tomorrow; it’s already starting.

Gasly is useless. Honestly, Red Bull Racing would have been better off signing Fernando Alonso instead of this guy.

Gasly was brilliant at 14 🤣, and yet someone actually claimed he'd be giving Max Verstappen a run for his money🙂. Good grief, the guy is going to end up digging himself a hole in the concrete alongside him.
Vettel managed to flatspot two sets of tires 🙂, interesting enough.
stormybadger8 said:The situation regarding Sebastian Vettel isn't entirely out of the question, though I find myself somewhat skeptical about this business involving Charles Leclerc and Valtteri Bottas.
It’s essentially a showdown for pole position between Valtteri Bottas and Sebastian Vettel.
It’s a shame, really. It looks like Charles Leclerc probably won't be there.

Besides that, you completely missed the mark regarding Hulk.
Renault won't even make it into the third quarter, let alone crack the top eight.
Lando Norris and Torpedo have managed to secure spots in the top eight. ☕

Do you honestly think Lando Norris will outshine that fraud Sainz again?
Lando Norris is a genuine, pleasant surprise! That’s what iRacing says.

Hulk is an incredibly talented driver, and honestly, seeing him perform like that gives me a bit of hope.

It’s truly a shame. It seems highly unlikely that Charles Leclerc will be there.

Lando Norris is a genuinely pleasant surprise, according to iRacing.
Regardless, I placed my bets on Sebastian Vettel taking pole and predicted Charles Leclerc would outperform Valtteri Bottas—all before FP1 even started. They’ll likely miss the mark, but it matters little to me. Additionally, I have Nico Hulkenberg slotted in the top 8 for qualifying.
Someone please drop a link to a working live stream.
You all are being quite exhausting regarding Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel. What happened during the Australian Grand Prix was a perfectly standard occurrence, and it certainly wasn't because Charles lacked any sort of grit. It was simply a matter of avoiding an inconsequential scrap that could have jeopardized a significant number of points.

Time will eventually reveal how Charles handles his rivalry with Sebastian Vettel and the rest of the field.

The guy made a sensible decision in Australia, regardless of the endless chatter coming from a few people on this forum.
Richard Walker38 said:Your hatred for Max Verstappen is so deep that you’re actually attempting to elevate Pierre Gasly from a mere driver to a god among men. 🤣

What does his post even have to do with Max? He just mentioned that the odds on Gasly were at 50 to 1, which is absolutely insane. He made a fair point, though—Gasly drove an excellent race at this track last year.

Good grief, you people are attacking TBF over something that doesn't even exist.

The RB 3 is three lengths faster—that’s just the headline.
The Ferrari 0.5 is only half a length ahead—no headline needed there.
Conclusion? XD

The conclusion here is that you’re measuring lengths incorrectly. You clearly need some instruction on how to actually measure them. Since I have a penchant for being helpful to fellow forum members, I’ll give you the chance to measure my own length myself, provided I give you detailed instructions on the proper technique.

Who actually cares what you choose to watch?

Just a rhetorical question. I'm not looking for an answer from you, neighbor.

And don't let me run into you on the Mississippi River side.

A bit of Vettel

The man drives with this certain air of boredom, as if he’s just coasting, yet he clearly lacks the raw edge.
Then again, Adrian Newey is the one stacking up the championships.

Sebastian Vettel seems like a genuinely decent guy. Honestly, I could easily see myself grabbing a coffee with him and finding enough common ground to talk for hours.

That’s what I appreciate about him. Plus, the man can drive. He can really drive.

But let's set F1 aside for a moment; that's technical piloting, not true driving. I'd love to see him give NASCAR a shot at Watkins Glen. I have no doubt he’d find his footing immediately.

Does this guy 😬
have the exact same style as Groth? 🤣

Rocky really handled him nicely.🎉

Thank God my design talent isn't anything like my driving skills! Honestly, thank God, because if it were, I'd probably be out there designing paperclips right now.🤣

Claiming that Sebastian Vettel isn't in the same league as Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso is just plain nonsense. Maybe someone could give Alonso a slight edge, but we're talking about microscopic differences here.

There are so many variables involved. It’s just mindless chatter since they have never sat in the same car.

Do you people actually think Vettel entered F1 and secured four titles because he doesn't know how to drive??

The truth is, Sebastian is a bit impatient. If he had more patience, things might have turned out differently. You could call him impulsive, but impulsive people tend to be fast by nature.

I was just listening to Vettel’s team radio over on F1 Pulse and a few things really stuck out to me. First off, his spotter sounds like he’s literally on his deathbed. And second, why does he keep telling him that Max Verstappen is only a second behind? For God's sake, it's like the guy can't see him!
It’s unbelievable. They need to swap out that race engineer immediately; at this rate, the guy could probably lull half the grid to sleep.
