Look, both Media outlets and News outlets say "available for order"... if we're going by what they write, then it's all the same crap😉
Hold on, if you just upgraded from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 10 32-bit, then those extra 4GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM aren't doing squat... you need a 64-bit version of Windows to actually use more than 3.25 GB of RAM within the OS environment... If you're already running Windows 10 64-bit, then just ignore my previous post.
If you're looking to buy soon, just hang tight for a bit until those custom RX 480 cards hit the market. Right now, buying a GPU is like trying to buy groceries during a blizzard—just a terrible time to be out there. Honestly, an Intel Core i5-6400 is better than the 6500 anyway. As for the motherboard, you really need to figure out your priorities first. How many RAM slots do you actually need? How many PCI slots? Are you hunting for M.2 support? Once you know what you're actually using, then you can pick ☕
Still waiting on those AiB RX 480s to actually hit the shelves 😵 ...and don't even get me started on the pricing. All these supposedly "budget" retailers are just trying to cash in on the hype by inflating their prices, while the bigger, more established shops have lower rates that’ll likely stay there once the others finally stop playing games and bring their prices back down to reality ☕
Basically the most standard price ($0.76) for a reference RX 480 8GB over at MediaWorld is for an MSI model with a 3-year warranty...🤣
It looks like they're finally sliding down toward what a "realistic" price for these reference cards should actually be—which really shouldn't top out at $0.70 🍿

Nobody can say for sure, but with the GTX 1060 and GTX 1050 hitting the market later this month, prices for that specific tier should definitely start dropping...
Timothy Kim60 said:Prices have already dipped for the cards in the same bracket as those new releases. For example, MSI gaming GTX 980Ti prices were slashed to $1267 because of the GTX 1070 and 1080. Those high-end cards don't really touch the budget models.
Yeah, which is why the GTX 1060 and GTX 1050 will definitely shake up that segment.
Found an XFX RX 480 at Best Buy for $833, though that’s specifically if you pay cash and take a 12% discount (otherwise it's $299.00)... those scammers are taking way too much of a markup 😠...(could be the store or the distributor, doesn't matter to me)
EDIT: granted, it's the XFX OC reference model, but the price is still completely insane
The RX 480 is king for 1080p gaming. Honestly, until RDNA drops or I decide to jump to a higher resolution, I won't need anything else.🎉
EDIT: though according to Tom's Hardware, there are major issues with power draw (spikes pulling over 90W through the PCIe slot)... hoping AiB handles this much better.
