- The whole issue here was centered on the idea of BANNING THE CROSS.
- In the US, debating whether we should ban the cross is just pure futility; why even waste breath on something that isn't even a possibility? (That’s why I pointed out that 90% of the population being Christian makes this specific topic completely pointless.)
- The thread starter only brought up banning the cross because they were triggered by a debate over banning the red star symbol; after being provoked by people with opposing views, they lashed out by opening a thread titled "Let's ban the cross."
- Politics isn't philosophy, so it shouldn't be used as a playground for debating abstract meanings and nonsense. If they wanted that kind of deep dive, they could have started a thread under religion or philosophy instead.
- What is the utility of discussing a ban on the cross when it is quite literally impossible to ban the cross in the US?
- So, the topic is closed because it was nothing more than a vengeful, trolling thread built on total nonsense. Those are my two reasons.

@Donna Campbell6 and everyone else—take care.

Since you aren't actually short on iron, you end up with this weird situation where you have a relative surplus of iron floating around in your serum while your hemoglobin levels are still totally bottoming out!
Just go ahead and Google "hemolytic anemia" and "high iron" or whatever else comes to mind, and honestly, you'll pretty much find the answer yourself, right?

Look, I'm not trying to play doctor here... I don't have a medical degree or anything, so I actually don't know much about this stuff, which is exactly why I'm asking you guys!

Sam Hall15 said:high iron levels plus low H&M usually means anemia is on the way... sigh
Elizabeth Hill48 said:High iron levels?... and I'm thinking low hemoglobin too😲 ...if that's even a thing.

Basically, people come here mostly to read. Plus, most of the folks who actually register don't even post, so the ratio of posters to readers is roughly 1 to 30. That's why keeping the quality of the site high is a constant goal, even if it feels like an uphill battle.
The number of new threads being started has basically doubled in no time at all—jumping from 100 to over 200—and the post count has tripled from 3,000 to nearly 10,000, yet we haven't added any more moderators. But honestly, managing a massive community like this can be way easier if we just focus heavily on those fresh threads and the opening posts. Isn't it much simpler to keep an eye on 200 topics than to try and police 10,000 individual comments? If a new thread is set up well, it almost moderates itself, right? And hey, knowing how to start a good discussion is a skill anyone can learn, not just mods, don't you think? That's why stupid threads get nuked, and you really shouldn't bother wasting serious replies on them anyway.
I'm sure you realize that once you start posting something meaningful, the whole vibe and direction of the conversation shifts. Even the usual internet trolls know when to change their tone. At the end of the day, it's the people posting that set the mood for the discussion, not the moderators. Mods are really just there to step in and save things if they're already going off the rails. So, we can keep this thread going whether we stay on track or just keep it light and trivial.
