Barking at the stars
I’ve never actually sat down and watched this...
just caught a few random scenes while everyone else was glued to their screens

Every single time this garbage movie pops up on TV, it absolutely ruins my mood.
Especially that ending scene where the woman breaks into the house and watches that guy and the little girl from the shadows...
Seriously, I’m sitting here losing my mind at the 1:16:07 mark when she peeks out and he’s standing right there in front of her...🙂

Disney's Mulan (2020)
in Movies ·
After endless delays while everyone held their breath waiting for theaters to reopen so Disney could rake in billions at the box office, they’ve decided to just dump Mulan straight onto Disney+. So now, if people actually want to see it, they have to cough up an extra $30 on top of everything else.
Are you kidding me?!

People are out here kneeling because Gerwig didn't land a Best Director nod for this
I honestly don't get why everyone thinks this version is some holy grail compared to the fifty other adaptations of this book we've already seen
Is it perhaps in the names?

An agoraphobic child psychologist (Adams) befriends a neighbor across the street from her New York City brownstone, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play. You just completely butchered the entire plot... 😁

Yet another one in the endless line of film adaptations based on books by Louisa May Alcott.
I actually had this novel assigned as required reading back in college, though I never actually sat down to read it... 🙂
Honestly, the whole movie feels nauseating because of how loud and obnoxious the names are—which clearly explains why it’s so overhyped. Especially with that certain vibe from 'Call Me by Your Name'.
This isn't the first time this story has hit the big screen—there have been several versions—but this latest one is under a massive microscope simply because of the brilliant director Greta Gerwig, who is riding high after "Lady Bird" and is currently busy working on the "Barbie" adaptation.
Each of the protagonists is basically just trying to find themselves while dealing with the usual grind, like being broke and bickering with their mothers. The cast features Florence Pugh as Amy March, Saoirse Ronan playing the young writer Jo March, Timothée Chalamet as Theodore Laurence, Emma Watson as Meg March, Laura Dern showing off her range as Marmee March, and even the Academy Awards winner Meryl Streep lends her talent to this one.

Some Latino guy is losing his mind because Prince Eric is white

I’m coming back to this because honestly... after months of watching them try on every single person of color for the role of Prince Eric, @DisneyStudios still managed to land on a white guy. Apparently, "diversity" is nothing more than a buzzword to them. But hey, THATS Hollywood. It seems one person of color is plenty; having two leads? Absolutely unthinkable...

You can really see the years catching up to Jennifer Lopez in this gif
Honestly, whenever I see a movie starring her, my immediate gut reaction is just... yeah, it's going to be garbage
This looks like one of those movies that relies way too heavily on a forced all-female cast
