I honestly didn't think anyone was telling me the truth when they said this movie about how Nike signed Jordan would be this good. Affleck and Damon are spectacular once again—it’s wild how they recreated every tiny detail, like we were actually thrown back into the 80s via a time machine. I really think this could be a sleeper hit along the lines of Argo, and I'm pretty certain we'll see a wave of Oscar nominations coming—the film itself, those two, and Viola Davis, obviously.
I honestly can't believe I'm reading these comments. This is easily the best American film since the country's founding. It’s the first time I’ve actually sat in a theater for several minutes after the credits rolled just to process everything—and I wasn't the only one in the room feeling that way. The cinematography is masterclass; it makes you feel like a voyeur watching someone else's family tragedy unfold. You're left feeling completely helpless and empathetic, especially knowing there's no happy ending in sight. It wouldn't be a stretch to see this land an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature. 10/10
Still, you have to wonder why that post about "natural vaccine detoxing" got nuked. Good grief—I had no idea people were even into that.
I honestly don't think any scene out there hits harder emotionally than the finale of In the Name of the Father.

As for those scenes that actually get under your skin—it’s gotta be the ending of Se7en. Definitely.

I started this thread specifically because I can't believe what absolute garbage that movie was. Usually, I check out the plot and some reviews before heading out—but this time, a few friends dragged me along. I honestly thought the trio of de Niro, Edward Norton, and Milla Jovovich would be a solid draw, but man, was I wrong. It was such a tedious, pointless waste of time that I actually stormed out of the theater mid-way. 😠😠😠😠😠
Easy enough, but I’d actually love to see Ziggy Marley try his hand at some dance track by Boris Đurđević or Ante Pecotić. God knows what that would even sound like. 😂😂😂
Watched the movie tonight without checking any reviews first, and honestly, I’m impressed. Unlike some of those recent local "films" we've been getting, this actually had a plot, decent acting, and a solid soundtrack.
As for people complaining about genre-blending—that's usually just nonsense. It's not like you don't see that in American movies all the time.
