I hate my inner circle in Psychology & Therapy ·
crimsoncanyon2 said:You shouldn't bottle up all that negativity. It's terrible for your health. Go hit the gym or play some sports. You'll think clearer and look better, too.

Your parents need to stop being so central to your emotional life. You aren't a helpless infant anymore...

If you want to feel empowered, the most important thing is having a career and a steady income.
When you have money, you don't need anyone. You gain the freedom to cut off whoever you want—especially those people who offer you nothing but negative vibes and a toxic atmosphere. Sure, if you ever end up needing a kidney or bone marrow transplant, it might be slightly inconvenient, but even that's solvable if you've got the cash.
Money is your best friend and more reliable than any living creature.

Hands down, this is the best comment I've ever read. Thank you Quote.😍
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Hey guys, morning (or good night to some of you—.-) I'm in desperate need of a dentist here in Seattle... I'm a student and, erm, I am terrified of them :/. Any ideas? Thanks🙂
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Why are these pills so freaking expensive -.-? Last month I dropped about $27 on mine, meanwhile my mom takes those Trinova ones and pays like 30-$13 for a whole three-month supply -.-. Look, I'm a college student, and yeah, okay, everyone’s whining about teen pregnancies and all that, but this stuff is pricey. -.-
I don't get the pill thing (okay, fine, I'm embarrassed, I know it's some hormone stuff) but why does hers cost so little while mine costs way more😁?
When I finally lose it, I'm just gonna start taking hers🙂
Look, I'm glued to my screen for like 10 hours a day and it works fine for me. Plus—you can always just work things out with your boss🙂
Grab yourself a big Pilates ball and just sit on that instead. Seriously, it’s a lifesaver for your veins—even if you gotta get used to the whole sitting on a ball thing first...🙂
Hey, I’ve actually done that myself—way back in the day on my arm.
Just slather it in Bepanthen.
I think that's what it's called... you know, the stuff they use for fresh tattoos.

Can anxiety cause nausea? in Health ·
Ma. Okay, look—it’s not exactly winning any awards, but I haven't actually seen anyone for clinical psychology. (:
Can anxiety cause nausea? in Health ·
Look, this might go against the vibe of this sub, but I honestly have to pop a Xanax before any dentist appointment. If I don't... I just can't walk through the door.
Philosophy history as summer reading in Philosophy ·
Thanks, mistyscout2.🙂 Yeah, I'm definitely talking about that book...
Philosophy history as summer reading in Philosophy ·
Hey. So, I'm gearing up to major in philosophy at UT Austin starting my sophomore year—obviously doing the whole textbook grind first. Honestly, grab the Kalinov one for high schoolers... even if the writing style is a bit clunky. I've also got Western wisdom, which is decent enough. But there’s this one book that totally blows them both out of the water. It’s called a short history of ideas. Just can't recall the author's name right now.
Then you've got those little booklets out there—stuff like "Kant for beginners" or "Nietzsche for beginners." You can find them in any local library, if they even carry them in our town🙂. Personally? Not really my vibe. I can't stand those watered-down versions of something actually magnificent.
It really just depends on what you're looking to get out of reading philosophy🙂
People who stand out from the crowd in Psychology ·
I only met someone like that once. Ever get the vibe that people like that just want to bolt the second you try to get close? I could feel this massive wave of sadness coming off them... honestly, it was like they were carrying all the world's pain right there in their eyes😢
Nobody wants to be alone in Psychology ·
Maybe being alone is actually a blessing... I’ve just embraced it, and honestly, I feel better for it. Though, deep down, I never really wanted to be totally solo... I think I might just scare people off. Right now, I'm stuck in this relationship that goes nowhere and has zero understanding—it's basically just something to have so I'm not single. It sucks. The worst part is waking up to a gorgeous day and thinking about heading downtown to walk around and laugh with someone, only to realize I'll be doing it by myself.
Maybe I’m the one to blame here. I can be pretty hard on people. I absolutely loathe superficiality—I just can't stand it—even though, at my core, I'm a total optimist.
To be real with you, most people in my life have just used me. If they needed a favor, they knew exactly who to call. And look, it didn't bother me at the time—I genuinely love helping out. But the second *I* actually needed something? Everyone vanished. I think that was the moment I completely lost my faith in humanity. Now, I just have a few acquaintances, and that’s it.
When I go out on a Friday or Saturday night, I feel like an intruder in everyone else's world. And it’s the same feeling when someone tries to push their way into my own little bubble of poetry, music, and books.
I love my solitude, but man, sometimes it's tough.
So, yeah. There are more of us out there... we aren't alone in our loneliness.
You meet someone and you just click—you see this one trait in them that hits right, and they feel the same about you. You hang out for years, building that bond. Then, out of nowhere, they pull some absolute garbage move—trash your car, hook up with your girlfriend, stiff you on a loan, whatever. And instead of owning up, they just ghost you because they can't handle looking at themselves in the mirror...
Real friendship? That’s being able to welcome that person back with open arms, acting like nothing ever happened, because you still see that first thing you loved about them. It's about facing the stuff they're too afraid to face themselves.🙂
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
not a virgin anymore=)
it stopped though—think I'll make it... at least until my doctor's appointment. I'll just wait. thanks🙂. I'm just scared. The blood... 👎😢
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Hey.
Not sure where to drop this question, so I'll just put it here—fingers crossed someone knows what's up. My last period was from Dec 19th to the 26th.
So, my boyfriend and I were getting a little playful last night and I ended up bleeding. Like, a lot. I never bleed this heavily during my actual period. I headed home, showered, popped in a pad, and then saw a bit more blood along with some clots. It's stopped now, though, so things seem fine. No pain or anything... but the thing is, I just made an appointment with my doctor this past Wednesday. I'm not on any birth control. My guy wasn't being rough, so I don't think he could have actually hurt me. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks so much.
What causes fetishes? in Psychology ·
I’m actually a huge fan of being nibbled on... like, getting some light bites on my stomach? It’s honestly such a sweet feeling. 🙂
