Here I am again with a quick question for you experts 😁 When I pick up a new graphics card, do I need to use the existing power cables already coming from my PSU, or should I use the specific cable that comes in the box with the card to connect it to the power supply? I hope that makes sense 👍
Timothy Kim60 said:It’s probably not worth overhauling everything unless you hit $333 comparison levels.
With the cash you'd spend on those higher-end cards, you could probably snag something decent used—plus, you don't even have a solid power supply yet.
I noticed this Radeon RX 560 performs a bit better than my current setup, so maybe I should just stick with what my current power supply can handle? I'm not planning on upgrading my monitor or PSU anytime soon. I just want a slightly better GPU—nothing crazy, just enough to get things running a little smoother.
I took a closer look, but there's nothing written on the power supply itself—maybe it's on the other side that I can't see. I really don't want to tear everything apart or pull it completely out of the case; I'm not exactly a tech expert and I'd rather not risk breaking something. The GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 with 1GB of GDDR5. The motherboard is an ASUS M5A78L, if that helps at all.
Hey everyone! I could really use some advice—I'm looking to pick up a new graphics card. Budget is around $333! Here's what I'm running right now: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 Intel Core i3-4130 3.80 GHz 8 GB RAM 500 GB HDD 400 W Spira power supply Running at 1280x1024 resolution
Look, every single time I click anywhere on this forum, some random ad pops up in my face, and honestly, I’m starting to lose my mind over it! If anyone knows how to fix this, I’d really appreciate the help.
Michael Reed72 said:If you can stretch your budget a bit, go with the Radeon HD 5770. If not, your best bets are the Radeon HD 5750, the Radeon HD 4850, or the GeForce GTS 250. Honestly, the 5770 might even be a little overkill depending on which CPU you're running. A solid middle ground would be the 4850 or the GTS250. The 5750 is a decent option if you're dealing with a weak power supply, though you didn't mention yours.
Hi there! I'm looking into picking up a new graphics card. My budget is around $333. I'm running an ASUS Motherboard. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz with 3 GB of RAM. Right now, I've got an ATI Radeon X1650 in a PC that's about 3 years old.☕ Any suggestions? 👍

And if you’re implying I’m kissing up to the Alternative mod, that was just my very first post (partially) directed at them. Besides, I don't even post on the Alternative board, so why would I? 🙄
I stand by what I said—well, by my swearing, lol—and I'll take whatever penalty comes my way. ☕ Otherwise, you better watch your mouth, or some little kid is gonna toss you straight into hell. 😂

By the way, are you planning on installing Vista, or are you jumping straight to Windows 7 when it drops?
Nothing much new here 😁 One day, once this computer finally gives up the ghost, I'll pick up a new one and install Vista first, then move on to Windows 7. 😁 I really want to give Vista a spin, and honestly, Windows XP is still working great for me. 😍

Why wouldn't Windows 7 come with DirectX 10 and then get DirectX 11 once the full version drops??? 😕

Coming from a guy who's never even had a girlfriend in his life🤣 🤣 🤣 😂 And who doesn't even care about computers🤣 😂
