I noticed a little bump about three or four months after my surgery. It’s nothing major—just a tiny protrusion at the bridge of my nose. You can't really see it, but you can feel it if you touch it... It doesn't bother me, but if there's an easy way to get it removed, I'll probably head in to see what Doc thinks about it.
It’s been six months since the procedure now, and everything is perfect, aside from that small lump.

I also went out in a mold as soon as my bruising started to fade... I just didn't want to take any chances.🤷

It's $1,000 for the aesthetic procedure, and $1,500 if you're doing both aesthetic and functional operations.

By the way, did any of you catch the red carpet this past Sunday? That pageant queen who had her nose done...
The news reported it was just the removal of the molds and tampons after five days... she looked flawless, no swelling, no bruising, not even a trace of blood... honestly, I'm skeptical...🙄
It was a bit irritating because my nose is still incredibly swollen, and I won't even begin to describe how I looked five days post-op...

My skin wasn't oily and I didn't deal with breakouts at all... actually, once they removed the molds, my skin has never felt so smooth and clear, probably because they had to clean the adhesive off with rubbing alcohol...🤷

Oh right, about that pageant girl... I was thinking the same thing, it’s been at least 20 days since her procedure; there is no way she'd be bruise-free after only five days... besides, her nose looks exactly the same as before, quite mediocre...
Jamie Mitchell13 said:Hey girls, I need some help. My doctor didn't mention anything about needing to massage it or anything like that, but I'm feeling really swollen and I'm terrified to even touch my nose. Is massaging actually necessary??

Some doctors swear by massage, while others say skip it entirely... postoperative advice seems to vary wildly depending on who you ask. It’s probably best to just stick to whatever your specific surgeon instructed you to do.🤷

Does anyone know if there's a way to get this separated faster? The skin on the nose needs to stay mobile. Any advice is welcome. I have a follow-up appointment tomorrow, so he’ll probably give it a deeper massage then.
There's no easy way out, I guess...
Best to everyone,

I also saw him and was beyond satisfied... I don't think you need to worry, just keep massaging it exactly how he instructed. I know I used to massage mine pretty hard—even to the point of pain—about ten times a day when I first started.
Amanda Ramirez42 said:He only showed me two photos of his nose; the profile looks fine, but from the front, it’s just awful! He also bragged about how he fixed his sister's nose in the first month, but I really don't like hers at all because the tip is way too big and bulbous, while the bridge is incredibly narrow. It doesn't suit her one bit since she's such a petite, short woman, and it still looks quite off... a total disaster.

I visited the clinic myself and was completely satisfied with the approach there; the doctor is truly polished and has the manners of a highly educated professional unlike that other guy who was unshaven and swearing constantly which, I have to admit, gives you some peace of mind that you'll be happy with the results. He isn't pushy and actually listens to you before making suggestions. His office is great and the staff is wonderful, too. I felt really comfortable during the consultation, and my appointment is set for June 7th.

🤣🤣
That's actually what I loved about the other doctor... I'm so tired of those stiff, uptight physicians and their "manners" that only last until you dare to complain about something. With him, I can swear when I'm in pain without getting a weird look... the man is eccentric and loud. Just a classic Southern gentleman...🙏:🤷

edit—the tip of the nose usually ends up looking like a potato for about five or six months, but you don't realize it until after the fact.

Complete garbage. The movie plot is nonsensical and underdeveloped, especially when you consider how 🤣 handled the restaurant scene where Nick goes to kill Carver😂
Bryan Gomez27 said:Hey ladies, I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had surgery where the doctor didn't actually touch the tip of the nose? Basically, would the tip look exactly the same as before the procedure... without any changes at all? I've asked this before and nobody replied...

In my case, they don't touch the tip, nor do they lift or shorten it. Since it's just bone work and removing certain bits, the tip ends up looking just as swollen as everything else...
wanderingangler8 said:Hey, are you maybe a smoker? How does that even work?
I haven't tried lighting up a cigarette yet, but the craving is hitting me hard...
Also, I can feel the right side of my nose, but not the left. Is that normal?

I don't smoke. Everything you're describing sounds perfectly normal; one day the swelling will be less, the next it might be more. If you're genuinely worried, just give your doctor a call and ask. You paid for their expertise, after all, and it's their job to be available to you throughout your entire recovery process.
swiftheron48 said:So basically everyone gets those little bumps? 😢 Ugh... I honestly have no idea why they even happen in the first place...😢 I can't believe the recovery actually takes this long. Is it just me who notices, though? Or can others see it too? Man, I am counting down the days until this six-month mark hits🙂 hehe

It isn't visible to anyone else but me... I'm only just realizing how swollen my nose actually was. Other people didn't notice a thing... Don't stress out or start panicking over it. The nose shape settles in around 6 months, and breathing usually doesn't feel 100% normal until about 9 months on average.
If your face is seriously swollen, try using some ice packs... just don't overdo it.
swiftheron48 said:Oh, really?? Goodness... how many months had you been post-op before this? I know about the nasal strips, but my whole face is just so swollen right now... I think I'll go ahead and grab those drops. 😍 😍thanks

It’s been five months. The nose is actually only just starting to take shape—the bridge is settling and the tip is finally finding its form; before this, it looked a bit like a potato.

Usually, those little bumps show up after two or three months. In my case, a bump appeared at the bridge about a month ago, but it's fading. The other side of the bridge is starting to shrink and even out, making the bump less noticeable... honestly, you really have to wait six months for the nose to settle into its final shape. There's no need to panic over anything since everything is constantly changing.
wanderingangler8 said:I was at the mold removal this past Saturday, and it somehow just stripped all those little scabs right off... I don't really know how else to put it, but nothing was actually applied to them. Can I just pick up that oil at a pharmacy?

Yes, they compound it right there at the pharmacy. They usually don't even bother with fancy packaging, and it only takes a few minutes. I believe it's $1.75.
My dog wouldn't let anyone touch her nose except for the vet during her cleaning appointments.
The swelling in my nose will persist for about four and a half months. Of course, it isn't immediately obvious; rather, as more time passes and the tip of the nose gradually narrows, you'll eventually realize just how much swelling there actually was.

For any scabbing inside the nose, paraffin oil drops are quite effective. They won't cause any harm, as they are specifically used to soften everything up so the scabs can fall away naturally.
